  1. The nexus is exactly what I'm wanting to avoid.no point for me to have a phone that big. However that deal may kill two birds with one stone.hehe wife needs a new phone and daughter wants a tablet. I could probably switch to wife's phone and get out cheap.
  2. I'm thinking of going with t mobile soon and what I'm looking for is a phone that can tether via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi my tablet. I don't really want a huge phone to carry around since my tablet does everything I want a large screen for. I just need the phone to take voice calls. What's out there?
  3. If you like oil watch VLO, I day trade it a lot and it would also be good for swing trading. Velaro Energy.
  4. I mentioned MRIB around 6-7 months back and hopefully anyone who got on that roller coaster isn't sick yet:-) Its been a ride and just my luck with long positions they have also been involved with a shorter group who are actually attacking MRIB for personal reasons. I hope the company can weather the storm and I'm still holding my position looking to the future, they've made huge strides in the past year since getting licensed and I fully expect to be in profit in the next few years. Their US and Brazil national distribution is just getting underway and we should see continued growth for many years in this company. Especially once the shorters go away. One note on that. If any of you use investorshub for stock information, I ask that you look into the website a bit and especially google mathew brown the owner. He's currently in prison for stock manipulation along with others of his crew (many are not in prison and actively working the site) and they use that site to push their agenda so things you see on there are likely not what they seem. Be careful and make money.
  5. GSAT got hit by some BS short sellers, who are possibly facing lawsuits and criminal charges. They took a huge short position then released a bunch of PR blasting the company and trying to scare people into believing the FCC will rule against giving them the frequencies they are requesting. Total BS and the FCC chairman has even already said the vote is just a formality and they will be approved. Anything under $3 is an amazing buy for GSAT and its going much higher over the longer term even without the new frequencies. They've been getting a lot of major contracts to push up revenue. Pay attention, if you got bumped out due to the shorters you may be entitled to something, IDK the extent or anything else. I just know that the SEC set up a hotline for the situation the day they suspended trading a few weeks back so they are involved with going after these guys.
  6. For cars I'd almost build my own diffuser panels from PVC or other material and rip stop nylon from a fabric store. You could set the flash up on a stand behind it and shoot thru like an umbrella or in front and bounce off it to make some really soft light that shouldn't have any hot spots. The larger the diffuser compared to the subject and the closer it can get to the subject the softer the light effect. If you put it to far back and/or its to small it just acts like a big flashlight beam giving shadows. The goal of an umbrella is to give a large light source close to the subject to cause light to come in from many angles eliminating directional shadows.
  7. Get rid of kid. LOL I used to go 3-4 years between sick days, then the kids arrived. I almost run out of sick days because of the little rug rats passing stuff to me. Never been so sick and all they get is runny noses.

  9. It's photography humor. Shoot some weddings and you'll understand.
  10. I keep the RAW files on my home server until I feel the client isn't coming back wanting something, typically a year. The full size final images are on my zenfolio site. My astronomy stuff gets very huge. Imagine what happens when you stack the data from 100 25megapixel RAW files into one 32bit data file and begin processing it into a visible image. Actually Trish, Tim you'd be very interested in seeing how the histogram on that file starts way left as just a single line and as you stretch it with curves adjustment you eventually get a full correct looking histogram. There's seriously that much data contained in the shadows in that file. And you can stretch it very far since its 32bit and the final image is only 8 to 16 bit for screen or print.
  11. Trish, my dumb husband forgot to wear a belt, but you can use Photoshop to just put one on him right? Oh and tuck his shirt in too;)
  12. I actually don't really like my 870. It's the cheap HD version less than $300 new. It's very unreliable at ejecting shells to where one in 15-20 will get caught and stick straight out the side. I haven't bothered fixing it but all the surface edges seem unfinished to me and I think they should be sanded better. Otherwise it's a fun gun I just would not want to rely on it for defense at this time.
  13. I need three terra bytes to start also.
  14. Whats a good company to use these days? I need to save pics, vids, docs, etc and I don't want to find out the system is deleting my files because they think they are to big.
  15. That is true, I'm sure I've seen on gun forums where a huge amount of the deaths are from .22, the other big one is shotguns, but not sure if hunting accidents are included.
  16. I've only done it in 4ft of mud, that looks to easy.
  17. I know lots of people say shotgun, but of the guns I have, IMO its the one I feel least safe with and thats due to the stupid design of the safety on the Remington 870. I'm gonna get around to either removing it or marking it better or something someday. Otherwise I also feel as brian does on shotguns. That said. Try a few different types, do reading, watch youtube vids. Bottom line is any gun is better than no gun so get one you'll enjoy shooting and owning and learn it well. The alarm is a great idea if you live near police and they will for sure get there in minutes. That will at least let the bad guys know they only have minutes to kill you and get out. Oh and don't put the gun where you can't use it and unloaded. You just gave the bad guys a free gun. IMHO having a gun for home defense is a life style change as well in order to maximize the effectiveness of the gun's role. Otherwise its just another gadget to get stolen or misused someday.
  18. Done. Those are really good and cute little guy for sure.
  19. Here's a link to mine, its a beast. It also requires a power wire so no dead battery in winter. My big thing was, how well was it going to work when it got to -0 temps and this one worked perfectly fully exposed to -20 deg wind chills last winter. At my place we get a tone of deer traffic so tuning it to ignore them took a few days of adjustments. http://www.dsc.com/index.php?n=products&o=view&id=1347 Alarmax Distributors, Inc - Columbus, OH Distributor USA OHIO 2215 City Gate Drive, Suite C Columbus, OH 43219 United States Phone: 614-476-4080 877-874-3306 Fax: 614-476-4180 Email: dsterling@alarmax.com

    Nice

Dudes a hero, just dumb for bragging. I agree you can't actually rape a guy. Even if it was homosexual half the dudes are gonna like it whether they admit it or not. Probably how lots of closet gays are made lol.
  21. I looked into this when I lived in Ohio and had a quarter mile long driveway. I got a great sensor that wired into my alarm and I set it up as a passive alarm that would simply chime when someone approached. It was capable of the extreme temps we get and had multiple detection beams plus a radar to help identify the size of the object moving to prevent false alarms caused by cats deer, etc. Pm me and I'll try to get a model number or any more info.
  22. Ever notice the psychos seem to do just fine in these situations. Lol food for thought.
  23. Nope,I hardly ever go and have rather radical beliefs about health care. Going off topic but basically we need it be universally for everyone or only for those who can pay. No in between or the system can't be maintained.
  24. If an assisted living home becomes the options be sure to check on rules regarding selling property. My parents are going through this with my grand parents now. I get to go behind the scenes in assisted living facilities (ie the office parts) on a regular basis and from the chatter I pick up it seems they are in the real estate business as much as elderly care. There are legal ways around this, but it requires planning and time. Something we should all be aware of for ourselves and our parents before the health care system steals our inheritance.
  25. You really don't wanna ask that question. However I think you know why I stay out of IPO's beyond shorting the reversals.
