  1. Nothing embarrassing about that, those fuckers are great DDs
  2. This is the really important bit. The new Pentastar motors > any other previous model year V6.
  3. First time a Jones response to my auto-related post didn't end in LOL. Quoting for posterity
  4. Great car, but even knowing the name of it is embarrassing. I'll throw my dad's old Peugeot 505 in the mix. I literally can't help but laugh when I say "yeah the reason he bought it was because it was designed by Pininfarina" :lolguy: http://www.rsiauto.fr/images/PEUGEOT/505-Turbo-Injection-kit-PTS/505-Turbo-Injection-kit-PTS-1.jpg
  5. I judge people on how they act when they have nothing to lose by doing the wrong thing. It's easy to do right and not wrong when you have lots to lose by doing wrong, it's much harder to do the right thing when you have nothing extra to gain by doing so and nothing to lose by doing wrong. EDIT: I realize it's all about perspective; to the guy who got the washer, the seller absolutely did right. But again, it's quite easy to help a friend and screw a stranger. Quite a bit harder to explain to a friend that you had an agreement with a stranger and that you plan on keeping your word.
  6. 1) capitalism is a bitch, cash is king, yadda yadda is all correct in the most technical sense 2) Jerrod is a guy I've done business with a couple times and has always been straightforward, willing to drive quite a distance to help, and has never not done what he'd said he'd do, so I can understand his frustration. I'd be frustrated in his shoes as well. 3) while I can understand the seller's desire to help a friend, one would think a CR Sponsor would be a bit more concerned with how his business ethos is viewed on a forum like this.
  7. Whenever possible, call them vs emailing. It's easier to forget/ignore an email. When you call, calmly ask that you be transferred to a supervisor because you've tried numerous times with various customer service reps to have your issue resolved with no satisfaction. Typically CSRs have little to no power to do anything beyond their scripted responses/actions. Supervisors can do things like tell you to throw the moldy ones out and just get you new ones.
  8. Financing a 9 year old premium brand SUV :dumb:
  9. Routans are definitely affordable, but you can probably get an as-nice-as or better Town & Country, and they're a lot more common so you'll likely have more choice in colors/options in the used market. Cars.com search shows probably 700 Routan/T&C/Grand Caravan within 150 miles in the 2010 age/$20k price range. Plenty of 2012s as well.
  10. Anything non-child related she might need?
  11. Alfa Romeo Duettottanta concept. Google it, the thing is pure sex from all angles.
  12. I'm guessing 2015, maybe MY2016 we'll have a car based on this concept sharing the MX-5 platform: http://www.italiantestdriver.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Alfa-romeo-Duettottanta.jpg
  13. We may yet get some form of MiTo. Between FIAT and Alfa, I'd expect to see 8-10 new models in the next couple years. I know the 500X has been in development (think Juke) and there's going to be some sort of Kubang-based SUV coming. If you were impressed with the FIAT diesel, and wifey likes the GC, get a 3.0L diesel GC. VM Motori makes it, which is jointly owned by FIAT and GM.
  14. I worked for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury for a while as well, and my need for a fun car now outweighed my patience in waiting for an Alfa Giulia. I was sad when they announced the U.S. wouldn't get a Punto/Punto Abarth.
  15. My coworker loves his Journey, though I wish they'd offer it with the FIAT Freemont (EU version) turbodiesel in the US. Or just wait for the Alfa Giulia to arrive.
  16. Welcome to the FIAT/Chrysler family. You in Auburn Hills? EDIT: I also don't drive a Chrysler. They gave me guff for a while.
  17. Ford has to figure out if they need to pay for a ton of research into finding a defect in the motor, or whether or not there's just a handful of errors between the seat and steering wheel in these units. In MOST cases, it's the latter situation.
  18. You want to maximize cancer-causing agents in your meat? Please tell me where you make a living cooking so I can make sure no one in my family ever gets within 100 feet.
  19. 2.0L Ecoboost not affected :fuckyeah:
  20. Guess what rookie, it doesn't sit because we're bad timers, it sits because we understand physics. When you take that shit off the grill, it's not done cooking. The juices inside the steak are still very hot and will continue to cook the tender inside of the meat while the tough, grilled outside doesn't overcook. Ask any chef who knows what they're doing (you know, professionally trained, makes their living off the quality of their cooking), all of them will tell you to rest a high quality steak.
