  1. This is the best F1 news I've heard since the possibility of Eccelstone going to jail arose.
  2. "Holy fuck that bacon smells good is there any extra?" "I only had a few pieces and gave it to the old man. But I am doin bread heels and bacon grease, it's pretty good. Want half?"
  3. Gub'mint had to roll back costs, no more $50k hammers and $25k rolls of scotch tape.
  4. Also I have I think 6 cardboard boxes full of comic books. I'd guess there's all low value, but a good number are cardboard backed and in plastic sleeves. My uncle collected them and he's now unloading all that shit on me. I think there's probably a lot of X-Men, Fantastic Four, and many other weird-ass comics from the 70s/80s. I really don't know a lot about them, nor do I really car. It's probably enough to get me $40 at a store (they pay by the "long box" last time I went and unloaded a bunch), so come pick them up for $30 and save me a trip. I'll get some pictures when I get home tonight. edit: $20
  5. I was underweight when I was born (though I was 2.5 weeks late) and by 6th grade I was 6' and weighed nothing. When I left high school I was 6'3" 200. Just make sure that he knows the only reason kids pick on his skinnyness is because they can't think of anything to make fun of him where he's not better than them.
  6. I love when people confuse the terms "rat rod" and "piece of shit"
  7. EDIT: Desk, reel sold. Still have 5-6 boxes of comic books for anyone who wants them. $20.
  8. AWD = up up down down left right left right b a
  9. Abarth Cabrio? Best engine noise dollar for dollar.
  10. That's kind of what I figured, on both counts.
  11. School me, because I'm an idiot about anything not shotgun or handgun related; Doesn't #3 block the trigger, making it completely pointless as a folding stock? Not sure how much anyone shoots with the stock collapsed on a gun like this, but at least with all the others you have the option.
  12. Based on the OP, sounds like there was neither a search nor a seizure. And when it comes to JUST safety issues, I have no problem giving LEO 5 minutes of my time to prove my car's in safe working order, and that I am a legal driver. Maybe if they did more of these, I wouldn't have to keep $200k of uninsured motorist coverage on my policy for peace of mind.
  13. I'm looking for something to suit a pretty broad set of needs, I didn't think it'd be this hard to do. The gf and I are moving together in August and looking to rent a place under 1100-1200/month pre-utilities. We're trying to get: - 2 or 3 bedrooms - Ideally in Clintonville, or at least Grandview or Upper Arlington so she can bike to class - Pet friendly for a 22lb Italian greyhound mutt and a 12 lb cat (this is the trouble we're running into) - If possible, fenced in backyard for the dog - MUST have off-street parking Seems like all the property managers out there aren't cool with pets at all; I'm not opposed to additional pet deposits or rent fee, but it's hard to find a non-apartment building situation that's pet friendly. Anyone got any good contacts?
  14. Shot a 41 at Turnberry's front 9 on Friday I'm ready to go!
  15. I started playing for the first time last summer and am apparently lucky with a naturally good swing. I can't give advice on really anything, but I started out just hitting the driving range with some friends trying to keep the basics in mind; don't try to murder the ball, keep your head down, and keep your eye on the ball. Once I got out on the course, in the beginning I would just move my ball to get a good lie and try to make good contact and build consistency in my swing. A year later and I'm actually picking up the game decently without ever taking a lesson.
  16. Bob McDorman sold off the 'vette collection and it's Jeff Wyler now. Not sure how they stack up service-wise. unrelated: where in Boston are you? I lived in Allston for 2 years, in Kenmore Square for 2, and my sister lives in Somerville now.
  17. No such thing as a cheap golf lesson. That's why I've never taken one.
  18. Condition that statement with "if it's busy." Valets are both incredibly hard working and incredibly lazy. I always told valets "give him the rock star spot". You'd be surprised how loose wallets become with that statement. Funniest times are when you ARE slammed and a you have to explain to a guy in a Gallardo that the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe ahead of him costs 2x as much as his car, and that RR guy tipped 3x as much.
