I drove a 2012 4dr Sport (stripper) with the 3.8L and honestly was very disappointed with how trucky and gutless the engine was, even with a stick. Drove a 2013 Rubicon with leather (Katzskin aftermarket kit), stick, and the 3.6L Pentastar and it was like night and day. The suspension and chassis felt more solid, the acceleration was noticeably quicker and the passing-power was a lot stronger. Granted, it's the difference in a $28k and $42k Jeep at the time... I think the Rubicon should hold is value the best out of any JK Wrangler, but dat 210hp :no:, especially in an automatic...:barf:

FWD? Does it have working A/C and cruise control?

Hoblick, the black centers to your wheels...are those plastic caps? I'm assuming not since you were able to match the powder coat so well? That bronze looks pretty cool...looking forward to seeing it in person.

The LJ Unlimited is a really neat "older" Jeep...neighbor when I lived in FL had one, picked up my wife and I from the airport one time. The backseat actually had plenty of legroom. Still had the high floor but I wasn't twisting my size 12s to fit back there... I worry about any car in Ohio northeast of Zanesville/Columbus/Mansfield. Having grown up in Cleveland the body rot is ridiculous. Pop the hood and every exposed nut, bolt, and steel- or aluminum-bracket is corroded badly. I don't know why it is that way, but it's pronounced up there.

I don't know you, but if all else fails and you decide to backyard the job you can bring the car over to my house. I've got air tools and a nice half-basketball-court of asphalt. Can't help you with the alignment, though. If you find a shop, let me know because working on cold concrete/asphalt sucks.

Man...a good friend of mine still has his mid-'00s GX460 with over 200k miles, and aside from some worn powertrain components he's replaced, it runs like it still has 50k miles on it. I'm not an SUV guy...but if I was - and good with an automatic - I'd consider a GX- or LX- (or Land Cruiser). Those are some well built monsters.

He was trying to start another CTD with some guys in town...no takers, or couldn't commit to the B.S....that's what I heard from a couple horse's moufs.

Drove my FiL's '93 Vette when I was dating his daughter. Fell in love with the car. Bought my '95 C4. Loved it. FiL bought an '02 Z06. Drove that and loved it even more. Hated lack of a targa top. FiL bought a '15 Stingray, 7-spd manual. Light-year jump for Corvettes. Absolutely amazing to drive. Now that the Z06 is such an amazing car, AND offered in both targa and convertible...it's on my list for a future used buy. :thumbup:

FWIW...Orange Leaf is a fav of my family. The Grandview and UA locations are owned by the same franchisee. We go there at least 1-2x/month. That being said, I've seen cleaner bathrooms at fast food restaurants off the interstate. That place is truly a self-service scale and Square machine for credit cards away from being totally DIY.
