I lean conservative, but I can't help but laugh when I think about all the absolute bullshit stuff these guys are getting mailed to them.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-01-15/wal-mart-to-close-269-stores-globally Wal*Mart...closing stores. Laying off 16,000 people. Guys, if you need a Main Street-signal that corporate America is worried, there's your sign.

INSIDE is where you need to be at Cup O'Joe for the winter! It's tough to see us "regulars" when many of the guys are driving another car.

I'm staring at the man in the mirror... I'm asking him to change his ways. And no message could've been any clearer: If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make that change.

Looking simply for 2 15" steel wheels with a 5x5.5" bolt pattern for the front of my 1982 F100. I do not care about the style as I'll be putting full Moon wheelcovers on them. Truck actually came with a smaller bolt-pattern, but when I lowered the front end I replaced the factory I-beams with '87-'96 DJM dreambeams, which used the newer truck brakes. I used aluminum adapters to go from the bigger '87-'96 bolt pattern down to the factory '82 wheels...but the adapters are cheap and it's now loosening and snapping studs. Would rather swap my front tires onto the right bolt-pattern 15" steel wheels, smack on the covers, and be done with messing with the adapters. Please advise what ya got. Thank you!

Last year, we (Bank of America Merrill Lynch) hosted our "March Madness" party at Buckeye Hall of Fame Café in Grandview Yard. It was a great venue and well-received by our attendees. Unfortunately, word came out yesterday that Buckeye HOF is closing down and is being taken over by Eddie George's 27 Grille. With that change, we're losing our reservation as Schneider Downs is getting our Friday - they've had a March Madness event with Eddie George Grill on High St. for years. There's business loyalty for you. Hofbrauhaus is available so I'm using that as a "stand-by"...not the best screen-action for games and the menu is somewhat polarizing. Can anyone else make some suggestions for 100-150 people over six hours on March 18th? We'd like to keep it somewhat centrally located, and Grandview Yard seems to be popular for the lack of paid-parking... Thanks in advance!

Today I said a thing I thought I would never say

They made it a 2-door hardtop just for extra "auto-show" glitz...would also love to see no B-pillars but Mercedes/convertibles seem to be the only option. -

Out of OP's budget, but this unicorn surprised me. Try to find 201x BMW non-M V8's with sticks, people: http://prestigeeurocars.com/2011-BMW-5Series/Used-Car/Columbus-OH/6297272/Details.aspx

Perez Hilton drop from Howard Stern?

Someone made the comment on Jalop below the article, but I was thinking the same thing... If I were FCA, I'd be sticking the Hellcat motor in everything RWD. Where is the Hellcat RAM 1500?

Hey, Doug! Good to hear from you here on the board. I'm all about charities IF PEOPLE WANT TO PUT THE EFFORT IN TO PROMOTE AND FOLLOW-THROUGH. (not directed at you, Doug. ) Wes was working on a calendar, a few of us were talking about doing a car show for charity. The sticking point is that it requires a lot of work, and ultimately (sad to say) it didn't seem like people cared about it...at least at CC&C. Again, something to consider. If an outside group was doing a charity event and wanted to promote it, I'm all ears on Facebook and our website... I'm getting the mandate...nothing earlier on Saturdays. Everything planned going forward will springboard off of CC&C afterwards. Craig, we've had people bring trailered race cars out. Casto has no problem with this. In fact, a not-to-be-named member on CR brought out a rail dragster that did an Exxon Valdez on the asphalt after bringing it out on the trailer. If people want to help get the word out that we're trailer-friendly...definitely let them know.

Did your son have to look at them through the lens of a potato?

If I also have a wish list: - Website: I need someone to help me update a couple of the Wordpress pages. Spencer, an OSU student, was nice enough to update the site with a more modern layout...but the videos/Facebook/picture feeds are all not working. - Videos: Wagner has been gracious in suggesting that he can do some work here, but I'd love some consistent video coverage, as well as someone who could help me do 1-2 interview videos most Saturdays. Anyone know of people I could talk to about these items, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Update: Link added. Selling my house myself questions

My wife is an experienced R/E attorney. While she doesn't do title insurance anymore, she was asking if you need help in lieu of an agent? -
Congrats, Scott! I can appreciate your mixed feelings, but it sounds like the right step given the stress you've experienced over the last couple of years especially. Have fun with the job, get healthy, and let us know how you're getting on!

Scott, that does make more sense as I'm thinking it through...to have Open houses for Lucore, Studio 47, AA Customs, etc...after Cup O' Joe that people can cruise to.
-
Couple of questions for the group: - If there was a cruise, is 9am too early? Would you drive to a cruise spot departing at 10am instead, going to Lennox Town Center? - Would it help if Lennox' parking lot was better organized, with areas to park clearly designated? Not cordoned off based on make/model, but just better outlined?

Thank you for the thoughts and comments so far! What's Dylan and BYMS doing these days? Will be talking to people on Friday, but I'm not prepared to make this a second job. If people want more out of this group, it's going to have to be a group effort and not just myself. Props to Milligan and Fondriest for bamboozling a team of social-media minions to do the "fake-it-til-ya-make it" marketing: It's worked and I'm too far back to play catch-up without those guys failing first. Good call and thank you. I'll use you as a point-person for communications if that's OK. Thanks, Aaron. Couldn't agree more, Doc. However, the purpose of this thread is to service a "calling" that constantly comes up - that I recognize - but I'm not interested in following. Right or wrong, I have to be true to myself on this one. Yet, if I can rally others, I'm happy to make those connections. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Austin, I'll be hitting you up with ideas around open houses and cruises into Cup O' Joe. Let me know of the shop you're thinking of.

Drove as slowly as all the other AWD SUV's on the highway today in my all-season tire'd CTS-V. Slippery, but DD is not a problem.

Yesterday, I found out that the other CC&C group has irked some people over upping their "sponsorship" cost for 2016 to thousands of dollars. With a couple of major corporations in town backing this group, it's apparently becoming big business to set up a parking lot full of cars. That said, I'll be talking with a few people associated with shops in the area about promoting additional events they want to put on. These won't affect weekly meets at Cup O' Joe, but will provide additional activities not associated with the other group. Anyone want to see... - Open Houses for Shops? - Morning Cruises from locations to Cup O' Joe @ Lennox - "Poker Run", or some sort of rally where you're going to different spots around Columbus for scavenger hunt items and then returning to a central spot. - FREE COFFEE?
