  1. That's what I was looking for, CTS-V Brother. You complete me.
  2. Of course, I'm going to say '06-'07 CTS-V... I would offer that - as a newer DD - the '10-'13 Camaro might be a smart pick, based on your wants/needs. Seems like people that own them enjoy them. I'd like to drive one someday... The GTO was the go-to, GM-focused V8 RWD 4-seater - but the Camaro has proven over the last 5 years to be a great platform. Looks like some nice ones under $20k. Easier/cheaper to finance too if you're going that angle. Crazy thought, but would you consider the V6 Camaro? 305hp, 30mpg... With my 4cyl BMW, I've come to appreciate that I'd rather have a stick-shift and an engaging platform to drive over stonking power and a slushbox automatic. Do you absolutely need 4 seats? A low-mile C5 Corvette would be a very reliable, fun-to-drive platform, and the rear hatch holds over 21cu.ft. of stuff (more than a modern Buick sedan).
  3. Having driven 2.3L/2.5L 4cyl TJ Wranglers in the past, I still stand that - for a highway-cruising DD - they are a fugging hazard. 70mph is a power-absent nightmare and getting passed by traffic makes you wonder why you'd buy one in the first place. That being said, I watch DED as part of the Motor Trend channels I enjoy...stumbled across these vids, loved watching Fred bounce off the rev-limiter all over Hawaii. Cool vids. THAT BEING SAID . . . . . . . looking at the YT comments ARE YOU KIDDING ME THAT HE PUT $20k IN PARTS ON A 4CYL JEEP?!?!?!? Kills it for me. I'm sure there are cheaper ways to get more robust parts under a Wrangler. Starting out with a Rubicon or at least a 4.0L is a start. Reality is a cold fish. Hope you off-road types enjoy these vids.
  4. Sooo...I broke out the installation booklets. 1) The wiring from the Humidifier manual control and solenoid were wired up to the terminals on the IFC for the thermostat. The instruction manual showed a spot on the IFC where there was a HUM switch. 2) Further review showed the wiring for a 24V humidifier going through a separate terminal. 3) Wired humidifier manual control as per diagram. 4) Fired up heater and water solenoid kicked on. 5) Turned humidifier down while heater/blower running and solenoid turned off. Didn't realize that the water supply was hot water. Interesting! Is it normal for the solenoid head to be warm to the touch when it's opened? I mean, easy to hold onto so not scorching hot, but warmer than the waterline feeding it? Thanks, CR!
  5. That is definitely a better looking Supra to start...though I am surprised as the other one looked great when I saw it a couple of summers ago at QS&L... Good luck, Samsonite! Get this thing driving by Spring of 2016. You've got 2-3 months...
  6. That's no "Project Binky", but I watched the first 10minutes and will check it out later.
  7. Cool kit, but the wheels really look rink dink on that Swedish car. I appreciate the details but the finished exterior looks really goofy.
  8. Hit me up sometime at CC&C.
  9. Looking into options to set up my 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V with an airbag suspension setup. I got a quote from ChassisTech's http://www.airbagit.com for $1550 for a 4-channel airbag setup with a remote. Anyone know their drug-addled cousin with a dead "S10-on-airbags" setup they're looking to part out? I'm always looking out for a cheap setup, but want to get a feeler out there in case someone has a line on a kit someone never used, or a car that's getting parted out. Thanks!

  11. C'mon, Samsonite! YOU CAN DOO EET...
  12. For $10/month and no long-term commitments, give Planet Fitness a try for a few months. From exercise machines to dumbbells/free-weights, it's a cheap way to get on some exercise equipment 24/7. I wanted to get back into weight-resistance workouts to get in shape (without buying equipment I won't use at home) and I'm very glad I joined PF. I agree: stop drinking and start exercising and that should kick-start a positive change in your body and mind.
  13. Need some CR assistance. Whole house HVAC is fine, but humidifier doesn't kick on ever. I tested out the water solenoid with a 9v battery and it opened up. With the heat on this morning, I crossed the 2 wires from the HVAC directly to the water solenoid (bypassing humidistat controller) and nothing happened. Humidifier: Aprilaire Model 4655 (manual controller) HVAC: Lennox CX34-44/48C-6F-1 Everything was installed new in 2013 I thought it might have been the humidifier controller, but now with direct-wiring to the HVAC not activating the solenoid, I'm wondering if the HVAC reset itself and doesn't/won't activate the humidifier. With the weather turning colder and HVAC drying out the air, I'd really like to keep humidity back in the house. Thanks and Happy New Year!
  14. I remember your thread. I'd go Z/28 repo's (or the real thing) all day long on your car...
  15. Wifey was pre-med in college when we met...did a 180* after graduation and took the LSAT, scored really well. Went to Capital Law full-time on a partial scholarship. I would look at taking the LSAT first, and what's involved to prepare: that's going to be 90% of your indication not necessarily as to whether you'd be a good lawyer, but how interested law schools would be in you.
  16. Somewhat agree. That's a pretty comprehensive list...can't argue that there isn't a lot of choice out there. But, there are some really solid $5k vehicles on that list, having owned many of them. (Suzuki Samurai, C4 Corvette, E36 BMW 3-series, Civic...)
  17. She was a good year, 2015... Looking forward to a great 2016! Happy New Year!
  18. Don't know why you would... - I'm BARELY on Instagram. - This is a $1500 Lincoln, and I live in Ohio in the winter. - I'm a passionate automotive enthusiast...whereas the subjects of that video are devoid of a soul. Let me slam this slab and smack on some Vogues with curbfeelers...and I'll be a flat-bill rocking, champagne-spraying, dolla-bill raining peni$$$-in-a-suit.
