  1. Go fuck yourself. I told you in CB (where you lived yesterday) that it wasn't me. Stop making up an agenda that doesn't exist to make yourself seem important.
  2. I'll tell you what's NOT improving CR... Cusswords in thread titles. AJ SHOULD BE BETTER
  3. Wow...now that I'm looking at those wheels, it's a lot busier-looking. I'm not a fan.
  4. Here's my tin-foil hat conspiracy theory... No one watched Miss Universe last night, and hasn't watched it for the last 5 years. If Steve Harvey didn't intend on "messing up" (think "wardrobe malfunction" from Janet Jackson during the Superbowl years ago) then even his slip-up has garnered more national attention to the fact that there even WAS a f**king Miss Whatever Pageant yesterday than any amount of marketing could accomplish. I mean...seriously...even the office women I work with didn't realize it was going on last night until their FB feeds blew up with Steve Harvey comments and the last 5 minutes of the show videos. Greatest career move Steve Harvey's done since joining The Family Feud. Now every morning newscast and women's daytime talk show is going to want to talk to him, and he can appeal to the country how sorry he was for the McSteak on his part. Sheeple's hearts will bleed for him. NO SUCH THING AS BAD PUBLICITY.
  5. Normally I agree, but with a convertible where the top and windows are blacked out...black wheels are a good look. I'm biased of course.
  6. I'm a big fan of a chrome lip. Any way you could compromise and get a black insert with polished lips?
  7. So...will the new wheels be the same or all new design?
  8. If you black out the wheels, I'd look at blacking out ALL chrome...personally, I don't get blacked-out wheels and tint when the pipes and window trim are still shiny. If you go with blacked-out wheels, I'd look at smoked side-markers front/rear as well, and seriously look at tinted tails. Are there any chrome accents in the front aside from the bow-tie in the grille? Also...I know you're a good husband like I try to be, Casey : if your wife likes the bright wheels, she might not like the car as much after you changed what she likes about it...
  9. Niiice... Looking forward to seeing the end result!
  10. Looked like a great time. Other holiday parties got the best of me. Merry Christmas, Happy Festivus, and all the best in 2016!
  11. I have a Mossberg 500e, which shoots .410 shells. Good thing I hardly shoot it because it's slim pickings for .410 ammunition. Joe is spot-on...definitely look at 20-gauge if you don't want to accidentally shoot through a couple layers of drywall and into a sleeping family-member's body.
  12. Dayum! Welcome to the site.
  13. Great introduction. Welcome to the site! Check out our Cars and Coffee group...meets every Saturday morning, year-round. http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net
  14. If CNG hasn't taken off as a "greener" clean- burning petroleum-based alternative to gas or diesel in the U.S, then I'm not sure how ethanol will be better (without MAJOR additions in tax incentives)...
  15. Awaiting magical thread update tomorrow morning... *fingurth crossthed*
  16. Good luck, Jeff! Toy Barn has built a robust brand and a loyal fanbase - having a performance avenue will plug well into that market.
  17. In addition to battery technology, solar cells need to be better. I know they've gotten some to be 50% efficient, but if vehicles could charge while moving as well (without needing complex and expensive on-the-road charging systems) that would negate the heavy lifting expected from many battery packs. Many big vehicles (buses, semis) have huge areas on their roof that would be perfect for efficient solar panels to maintain a charge both at rest and while moving... I'm excited about improvements in electric technology - especially over alternatives like hydrogen.
  18. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2015/12/states-provinces-euro-countries-pledge-to-ban-fossil-fuel-vehicles-by-2050/ This groundswell intrigues me, as I think it'll either never happen (thanks, oil lobbies!!!), or technology will truly get to a point where electric vehicles will be far more cost effective to operate, and perform better in speed and distance than ICE (in which case, I'd be happy to drive the 6th generation Tesla). However, I agree with one of the commenters that it seems silly when elected officials set laws around future events that may never properly materialize, and they won't be in the office for their agendas to enforce it. I'm changing my stance in an ever-evolving world to allow me the joy of one gas-powered car that has a stick-shift. That's all I'll need in 2050.
