  1. LOL. Was just in Cleveland for work yesterday. Everybody was so hyped up about that game.
  2. Wifey is looking at an ASUS Transformer Book Flip TP200SA-UHBF Signature Edition 2-in-1 PC. It's one of those flippy-rotatey laptop/tablet thingies. It would be used to watch movies in car/on a plane, light internet/word processing schtuff. Any recommendations on this offer? Was $349, now $199. We'd look at using this for the next couple of years, then figure out what the next-gen MacBook Air looks like. http://i.giphy.com/ToMjGpGvZEV4kaKjrPO.gif
  3. ...but you'll watch it. Fast and Furious taught Hollywood that you WILL watch this junk.
  4. I'm sitting here in FL checking CR...realizing this thread is the start of winter bench-bitching. UMBRELLAS UP...is gon' start raining shit:D
  5. :lol:Lost it. Well played, mang...well played
  6. I'm a yuppie and we get the most Charlie Brown-looking tree from one of the church parking lot sales. I get the tallest tree I can find that looks good from 3 sides and happily pay $20 cash. You'd better believe out of a parking lot full of trees they have some decent looking Fraser Fir's that fail Home Depot's aesthetic rules for cheap. Be Grant: spend $20 in gas driving to cut down a tree that looks better than his apartment. Slices finger on rusty rental saw, dies of dysentery.

Here's a recent article I copied from a Gawker site... "HAIGUYZ I'M DOUG DEMUREOHH... I'm writing an article called: "I'M DOUG AND I HAVE A SKYLINE" BY DOUG DEMURO. <<<<That's me!!! Did you see this is my article??? Hai everyone! My name is DOUG and I have a Skyline. You'd know this if you read my last article HERE. If you didn't you eat crayons and took a short bus to school. (HAHAHAH!! Did you see my hilarious joke!?!?) When someone important like me is trying to sell a Skyline, they can't. Here's why...by Doug Demuro: 1)PEOPLE DON'T HAVE MONIES - Ha ha! Ninjaz be broke deeese days. B)THEY CAN'T SPELL - I'm Doug and I hate when people use "ur". It's like "I want to by ur car" and I, Doug Demuro, think "Hai! This guy eats crayons". <<<LOOK!!!! There's another funny joke! Man...this Doug Demuro guy...he's really funny and smart! Check me out! I'm Doug DeMuro and I have a Skyline and I used to have a Hummer! Bye for now." I saw a couple of his videos where he reviews a car and, oh man...I've got this guy's persona pegged. When he thinks of a "eats crayons" joke, he must think so highly of himself. Yeah, if you can't tell I'm not a fan of his stuff.
  8. I think classifying people is a fruitless cause in America, because our society is such a melting pot you'll never encapsulate a given group unless you widen the sampling until it doesn't matter anymore statistically. I'm going to go with "Stupid is as stupid does", and leave labeling people to those who don't have the mental/financial capacity to broaden their horizons, have too much time on their hands, or a combination of both.

http://jalopnik.com/the-elio-is-americas-next-great-demi-car-for-freaks-and-1743561632 LOL. I don't know why Doug DeMuro has such a solid Jalopnik following when better writers like Raphael penned this awesome article. Bravo. I can totally imagine all the unwashed masses that are flocking to this thing. I had to Google Image what a "utilikilt" was. Happy to see a new engine under the bonnet instead of an old Geo Metro wheezer. I still have a soft spot for a blue Elio with a manual transmission...
  11. Austin Yochus is the guy...20-something dude who works at Crew SC for his day job but fancies himself an InstaGangsta photographer that's going to make bank off his exotic car pics. Paul Milligan and crew over at the other CC&C give these kids a social media platform to soar like eagles.
  12. Crucial Performance's old place? Say HI to Adam at AA Customs next door! Great block for you guys. Wishing you all the best, Mark! Congratulations on the new shop. Great setup out there!
  13. Looking to possibly upgrade the speakers in my '78 Lincoln. The factory 4-speaker headunit is surprisingly stout for playing Spotify through my iPhone and an FM modulator - no interest in upgrading that. However, if anyone has some 5 1/4" speakers for the front doors, and 6x9" speakers for the rear parcel tray, I'm not picky as long as they aren't damaged and they're cheap! LMK what you got.
  14. From what I've heard/read in the news, sounds like they are pretty close to a cure, or at least successful treatment into remission. Maybe Charlie should've paid part of that $10MM towards HIV research? Recent antics (Google "Warlock" for Charlie Sheen's drug-fueled ramblings and speaking engagements back in 2011) would explain the denial part. Regardless, I was entertained by him in movies in the past..."The Chase" was one of my favorites in high school. If there is ever a "new", high-profile celebrity-with-HIV to track our ability to fight this disease (outside of Magic Johnson that I remember), I'm looking forward to seeing how he might beat it.
  15. Thanks, guys. Been driving it the entire weekend. It's been a truly unique experience; the world just looks different when you're staring down a huge hood with fins on either side. It gets a ton of looks...took it downtown with the wife and some couples Saturday night for dinner and drinks, and the selfies by the ladies was a bit much in the backseat. Glad it makes people smile! Mechanically it's very sound: you really can tell when a car was garaged it's whole life. There are a couple of rust spots but a bunch of car buddies have been looking over this thing and it's solidity is impressive. Steering is super sloppy but a $16 rag joint will fix that. One of the brake rotors is warped but for $100 I can replace all 4 rotors and add semi-metallic pads. A/C is weak, and vacuum cruise control is dead but I'll go through and see if they are easy fixes. I'm going to try to clean out the garage and park it in there for the winter. Otherwise, it's going under an outdoor cover in bad weather. My simple-car, cheap-arse lifestyle loves the throwback this car gives me and other people, yet it's so cheap and easy to wrench on. Full disclosure: wifey let me buy it provided I try to fix a couple of items and sell her in the spring for a profit. Will entertain offers before I sell it to some cruise-in types for $5k.

Called the number, offered $1500, got the OK from my wife, picked it up Saturday afternoon. Been driving it all weekend with a shit-eating grin on my face. 400/C6...coil springs all around, 4-wheel discs with a 9" rearend. Rides amazingly, turns heads. Super fun Car!!!
  17. Picked up "Bunny" (as my daughter named it for the fur-like velour interior) this afternoon, amazingly beautiful day for a 70-75mph cruise back. Now, I'm going out with another couple for a night on the town. Pics to come!

  19. I struggled this morning to find a co-pilot when the trip was 3-hours each way, understandably. Now that it's only 75 miles away, I got a few friends. Transportation is scheduled and I should have the car in a couple of hours.:thumbup: Texted pics. I like your style: $1500 Lincoln, $15,000 full-length fur coat and matching fedora.
  20. Salem, OH EDIT: Just spoke to the guy...he's driving it to Cambridge. I'll meet him around 2pm. Only 75min away
  21. Thanks for the feedback, guys! This is where my head's at. I always wanted a land yacht for at least a little while, but didn't want to make a bodywork project out of one, or tie up $teens in one. This is a great way to get a very well-maintained but somewhat odd-duck representation of that bygone era. Looking forward to cruising. Thanks, Ryan! I have an evening dinner I need to be back for, and unfortunately the drive is almost 3 hours each way...I need to leave by end-of-morning to make this work. "Cleetus-money" .
  22. Anyone available from 11a-5p tomorrow to drive me up?
  23. While up in BFE Ohio for work today, I passed by a 1978 Lincoln Continental MarkV. It was a one-owner car and clean as a whistle. Called the old guy that owned it and struck a hell of a deal. Wife is on "maybe" and I'm going to try to win the day. If it was cheaper than a '90s Neon with 3-wheels (because the old coot is trying to get rid of it on a rural country road), WOULD YOU BUY IT??? http://i.imgur.com/i9lhfKRm.jpg
