  1. Weren't you moving to Alabama? I applaud the project but it seems like a lot to bite off before a major change.
  2. Guys, just shoot me a PM with your address or phone number and I’ll reach out to co firm. Thank you.
  3. Alex are you off of Kinnear area? I can help you out...
  4. That goes back to "Chuck & Larry" back in '07 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0762107/ The concept that you can take advantage of social- or group-program benefits by changing your societal categorization (gender, race, sexual preference, etc...). Slippery slope, when the benefits to underserved groups get abused.
  5. Thanks, guys. Mitch, I'd grab it if it's all metal, given the distance from my area. I scrapped a newer broken dishwasher and they treated it as irony steel. Not to be picky with scrap...
  6. I regularly do scrap runs in my truck to Research Alloys in Grandview, as 1) most of UA/Grandview homeowners haven't figured out that you can get a few bucks for metal and 2) it's on my way to work. I've amassed a small pile by my garage from projects and neighbors messaging me and I want to drop it off this week. If anyone on the NW side of Columbus has some decent metal sitting around, shoot me a message and I can see about swinging by to grab stuff. Thanks!
  7. So, I've gotten two quotes for roofing/new gutters for my house. Curious what people may think. Price reflects stripping down to the boards and new everything... Size of roof: 37 squares. Ross Roofing and Siding: $11,140 roof, $2300 for gutters $3880 gutters plus Leaf Relief aluminum gutter toppers. Muth Roofing: $15,680 plus $2900 for gutters, $4500 with gutter toppers (wife has the quote) EDIT: Quick google tells me installers usually go $350-500/square for architectural shingles, so $12950-18500 is an average range... - I'm not so surprised about the roofing quote, but does anyone have a good GUTTER installer that would provide me a quote on a similar deal on gutters+topper without the roof? - Also, the roof is old but good condition of single-layer asphalt shingles on my house. Does anyone re-shingle a roof anymore with another layer of shingles?
  8. That suede job does look great. Well done. Unfortunately, now I see how shitty the sunroof shade looks.
  9. Sounds like he'd take a "the tops of your headlights are cloudy. I'll give you $3500" kinda deal
  10. Holy shit that’s crazy. Not sure if that’s washing up from afar but my wife and kids just came back from Naples and the Red Tide algae bloom is strongest it’s been in over a Decade all along South Florida. Wonder if there’s a big kill going on somewhere.
  11. BRING BACK THE SHORT BUS Signed, <<<The Guy who owned the Short Bus with an '01 Maxima back in 2003
  12. Wait a sec....that thing is AWD??? If I'm being picky, I strongly dislike silver cars. It's like no one even picked a color...not even white! "Just clearcoat the metal", said the old man. Sent the ad to a friend of mine who just got rid of an '06 STS...he said he already saw this on CL He's looking at other options for now. GLWS.
  13. Wow, was not aware of that decision. Thank you for that article... ...and THANKS TRUMP
  14. I've ordered a few times from RockAuto this month for various projects, and as I am cheap I like to see the total cost w/shipping as low as possible. The latest order was for 2 car projects; shops would've totaled over $1600 to do both jobs, but after cross-shopping different sites I was happy with the parts I selected for well under $400. Love RockAuto. Once I went to Shipping options based on my zip code, I was surprised at how much the total cost jumped up. I noticed that sub-lines for taxes were listed under each of the 3 shipments. What changed?? Did NOT notice that before! There was a section where you could fill out to receive tax-exempt status if you were ordering for a non-profit organization, so at least that's good...again, never saw that before. I know that Amazon now assesses an estimated tax (due to it operating in the State of Ohio for Ohio orders/shipments?) but I never noticed RA do the same with any shipment of parts. I keep my receipts for state tax purposes at the end of every year. Is this some change that's forcing online retailers to charge for estimated state sales taxes across the internet? Is it that RockAuto is being forced to step up as well?
  15. I agree with the Fastest Wallet argument as well...not as an end-all to the argument but that’s a big effect.
  16. Damn that’s a lotta shiny...
  17. I really liked that car when it was featured on HOONIGAN. Too bad!
  18. https://jalopnik.com/how-la-s-underground-street-racing-scene-and-the-fast-a-1825723732 I'm reminded of how old I am, as this article was a nice memory of my 20s during the early part of this board as well. I didn't street race like many OG's on CR, but when you encapsulate a sub-culture over a 20+ year period into a well-written article, it's interesting to see how far we've come and how fun it was back in the day. I hope the younger guys I see at CC&C are having as much fun with car culture as many of us did when we were in our teens/20s/30s... While it's sad to see some of the "sideshow" activity in other major cities, stunting has been around forever...I would say the car culture is still doing well but the focus away from racing to individuality and style is becoming the norm...especially when SUV's can break 13second 1/4mi times these days. Again, it's interesting to see the evolution. Cool read.
  19. So...when I think Chevrolet am I no longer supposed to think Bobby Layman Chevrolet?
  20. So I'm looking up Range Rover vehicles/parts, and I come across this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/06-Range-Rover-HSE-Exhaust-Manifold-Right-RH-OEM-Used/232521476414?rt=nc&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D44040%26meid%3D9c108e5cb72e450dbcadbf3aa87156e8%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D11%26sd%3D322938305233%26itm%3D232521476414&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 Man...that is a wild looking exhaust header. I get that the openings are for bolt access but still crazy looking!
  21. Whoops...I meant you, Evan, not CDK. Too many letters and numbers
  22. I meant putting him on blast on whatever cycling forum CDK 4219 was on when others referred this guy.
