  1. It is probably who bought Curt's car.
  2. We're at 20 paid spots now so only 10 left.
  3. We're about half way filled up. Still need about a dozen people by the 16th to make it happen. (Thanks for the sticky Anthony)

My bad. I thought you implied that the $2800 was only for the shortblock.

If "big rods" means stock 6 bolt and you're getting OEM pistons then that is a rip off.
  6. 30 days and counting...
  7. E85 is already mixed with cheap gasoline so the answer is yes.
  8. Bump. Some commitments are coming in but we still need quite a few people. We've got about 40 days left for the cancel date.
  9. Be the first to experience the new sites and sounds of NRP at this: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34274 Shameless plug
  10. There's more to the fuel than the octane rating. The cooling properties of the fuel allow you to make big numbers as well as the ability to run more ignition advance. There are 4G63s making over 600whp on E85. You can't do that on "normal" 105 octane fuel.
  11. I don't care what it was put on the market for. The reality is that a widely distributed, cheap fuel could exist that gives us the ability to make a car much faster than on pump gas. That is why I posted my comment.
  12. Good call. I can also put in a vote of confidence for Dan S.
  13. Because you can make an assload of power with it if you know what you're doing.
  14. I guess. I just pasted that from our DSM board. It was mostly my friend being a smart ass
  15. The cars do not have to be street legal cars to be at this. (Probably half the cars participating will end up being trailored drag cars). So there is no problem running 1 or both of your cars. Simply put, $50/car. We aren't going to inspect for safety standards. All we care about tech wise is a car that is dripping fluids and might oil down the track. Otherwise, you could drive with your head sticking out of the moon roof for all we care
  16. 1st question: If you are referring to "our right to deny running" it is simply to protect ourselves against somebody showing up with a trainwreck of a car. Basically, don't show up with a car that leaks fluid. If it's dripping fluid pulling up to stage, we aren't letting it go down the track. Otherwise, if you oil down the track, you are responsible for whatever NRP charges for the cleanup. 2nd question: I think you mean run one primary car but maybe make a pass in a second car? If so, then you'd have to pay twice, sorry. The reason is because NRP goes by car count which is why we have it capped at 30. Once we go over 30 cars then their rate goes up. NRP doesn't care how many spectators are there only cars. The car count is probably loosing enforced as I doubt somebody actually counts them but this is my "official" answer at this point
  17. I should not have put my comments in this thread as it was more of a general forum concern. Your initial post started without the rules, then had them next time I was on, and then they were erased again. It isn't a big deal and I am not confused. Again, my comment was more general in nature.
  18. The mods should set a time limit to allow post editing so that kind of stuff can't happen. It gets really confusing.
  19. The way I look at it is a glorified track rental. The attendance of cars is usually really low so it is an opportunity to get a lot of passes in at NTR (which is otherwise impossible on a Friday night )
  20. It was the same deal last year too. It is pretty much catered to FWD Hondas and the like. They let us AWD slick cars make "exhibition" passes Of course I broke on the first pass HA!
  21. DQ Racing and ColDSM are organizing our annual track day rental at Norwalk. The details are listed below. One important point about NRP rentals this year: In the past they allowed cancellations up to 1 week prior to the date. They have now changed that rule and it is 3 weeks. So, May 7th may seem like a ways off but we need FIRM commitments by Apr 16th (6 weeks) or the plug gets pulled. Last year, I signed up for numerous NRP rentals all of which got cancelled due to lack of interest (partially due to NRP's price hike last year). This rental that we do along with the CR one in September were the only two that I actually saw end up going through. SO get your junk together and come out to have a good time DQ Racing 2007 Track Day Norwalk Raceway Park May 7th, 2007 Noon - 5pm UNLIMITED PASSES for 5 hours 2 lanes of racing 330ft of VHT track prep pro-tree for heads up / elimination / quick class style racing all makes and models vehicles welcome 30 participants maximum $50 entry fee Rules, Regulations, and the other fine print: 1) DQ Racing reserves the right to deny participation to any person(s) or vehicle(s) that do not meet the standards of safety, conduct, and mental capacity. 2) All participants must sign the waiver at the track. 3) Participants are responsible to pay for any clean up and/or damage to the track that is a result of their vehicle. 4) Refunds are ONLY given in the event that the track day is cancelled.
