  1. Most DSMs and EVOs have to ditch the hood latch due to the size FMIC cores we use. Hood pins only work fine when installed correctly.

    FS: Tial BOV

Gun metal, near mint condition. $150.
  3. The shortblock was torn down this December by myself and my engine builder Tym Switzer. I'm not sure if you know who he is but I think you can find more than enough DSM racers who would vouch for his expertise. The internals are fine. There are no signs of detonation and the rings look good. The skirts have much of the coating left. The car made a TON of power on the dyno the last time the car was fired. There is nothing wrong with them. I have not done anything with polishing the pistons or anything. I'm a little fussy about that so I thought I'd leave it up to the purchaser. You're obviously more than welcome to come look at them if you'd like. PM me for pricing stuff if you're interested.
  4. My bad. Copy/paste FTL. $2800 OBO
  5. I have a work 1999 S10 for sale. Truck has 107,000 miles on it. It is a 5 speed, 2.2l 4 banger. No clutch/shifting issues. Truck fires right up and runs but has a misfire. It is driveable but there is something that needs replaced that I don't have time to deal with right now. I'm mainly selling the truck because it is oddball compared to the rest of the fleet and we really just don't need it anymore. The plugs were replaced in it for troubleshooting and that was it. It could be that it needs plug wires. There is a CEL but I haven't bothered scanning it. Pics can be seen here: http://www.columbusdsm.com/DQ/truck/ $2800 OBO
  6. These are the rods/pistons I pulled out of my engine this year. Everything checked out perfect and the engine was pristine. I had intended on reusing these until plans for the entire car changed a few weeks ago. These are 9:1 Wisecos .020 over with upgraded .220 wall wrist pins. The pistons are in terrific shape and have very little scuffing on the skirts. The rods are stanard Eagles with the ARP hardware. These are 6 bolt. $500 takes the whole thing. The pistons are still attached to the rods and I'm not separating the sale. The pics I have are too crappy to post. If someone wants to see anything specific photographed then PM me and I'll email pics.

  8. Trattoria Roma in Grandview. Moretti's in Arlington.

E85 works great on cars at moderate power levels. Realize that you'll need about 30-35% more injector and decent engine management. The problem occurs when you're making around 150whp/cylinder and you may run out of 160lb injector.
  11. HKS T04Z Turbo- T67/P trim in a Garrett DBB CHRA. Comes with anti-surge compressor cover. Cover has a 90* cast elbow welded onto it from my setup. This can be simply cut off if you don't need it. The turbine side will come with 2 housings: 1 is the initial .61 divided T4 housing and the 2nd is a .84 divided housing I had done for me by FP. Both housings have V-band discharges. The turbo is in perfect working order and I have had no issue with it whatsoever. It has no signs of shaft play or anything wrong with it. $950 AEM EMS for 2g 1310 box- Never an issue to speak of. Comes with 5 bar map sensor and IAT $1000 MSD DIS2- Installed last season, never been inside an engine compartment, Nearly brand new $350 AEM UEGO Wideband- Comes with sensor and UEGO box. Sensor has 5 dyno pulls on it. $200 2g AWD tranny- 99 Case done by Tym Switzer with the usual mods, welded center diff, double synchro 2nd, 1g 3/4 gearset ETC. Car shifted no problem at 9500rpm and this hp level. $700 ACT 2900- Used for last season, street disc in very good shape with lots of wear left $200 ACT Street Disc- Backup disc left over, lot's of life left $50 Aeromotive Pro series Fuel Pump- This is not the "A1000" or "Eliminator". This is the nickel plated Pro series pump (pN# 11102) which flows much more than either of their others. -12 inlet and outlet, $425 Aeromotive AFPR -10 inlets -6 outlet, $75 Holley Fuel Rail- -8 inlet and outlet $50 Buschur Racing UICP- 3" SS piping. I can not promise that this is perfect drop in for a 2g but it will be very close if not. The exit points of my 3 different FMIC cores have always been at the same spot and the UICP has never needed to be modified because of the changes. I did have to add some length to 1 pipe when I changed brands of intake manifolds but I think there is enough play in everything for it to work on any setup. BOV flange is Tial. $220 VIS CF Hood (2g)- Ran on the car the past 2 years and is practically brand new, never seen sunlight except when at the race track. Drilled for Sparco hood pins. $300 Custom radiator/overflow tank/fan- This started as a 2g Fluidyne radiator and was cut in half to make room for a setup. It has a 12" Permacool fan attached to it with welded tabs as well as a 1qt CSR polished overflow bottle welded to it as well. It drops into 1 of the 2 stock mounting holes on the bottom of the 2g chasis. Both inlet and outlet of the radiator have welded -16 fittings. Very nice piece $400 Buschur Racing COP- Coil on plug ignition complete with plate that mouts to valve cover, no issues, works great $200 CSR Water pump (PN925) works great, never an issue, Purple $150 3 Speed Scattershield- Designed for 6 bolt/2g tranny $75 Prices do not include shipping. Pics available upon request.
  12. I have an opportunity to do something new through DSMs that will allow me to go faster than I'll ever be able to do with my current setup. It is hard for me to part with my car but I'm excited about my next project. With that said: My 2g chasis is going up for sale. White 99GSX chasis in good shape. There are a decent amount of members from the midwest who have seen the car and can vouch for its condition. Here is what you will get in the transaction: White 2g GSX chasis Tokico Illumina shocks and springs on all 4 corners 5 gallon fuel cell All tin work in tact (platform for fuel cell, nitrous brackets, and dry cell battery bracket, aluminum firewall separating everything) Fuse box has been relocated to underneath the dash. All electrical wiring will remain intact. (Cutoff switch, circuit breakers, 0 ga power wire, ETC) Full Percy's Speedglass Lexan installed on all windows (install done by Jim Grashell) 6 point NHRA certified cage done by Jim Grashell Sparco EVO2 black seat with aluminum bracket Sparco 5 point harness Full dash with all gauges/switches staying intact (oil pressure, fuel pressure, water temp, volts, nitrous pressure, blower) Complete rear end, driveshaft, and front axles will be included There are going to be plenty of other details that I am leaving out. Obvious "race car" things have been done to the car to get it light. Overall, the car continues to be in great shape and I am proud of the exterior and interior appearance that I was able to obtain in a car going 145mph. I will be willing to deliver the car to anyone within a reasonable distance from Columbus OH. Pics of the car can seen here: http://www.columbusdsm.com/mikec/sale/ $6000 OBO
  13. Nothing probaby. I say go for it. I've personally never heard of a place that cheap but it's your call. Caps are cheap. it's mostly about reassuarnce and warranty...
  14. I know of a few guys on ColDSM that may be interested in repairing it (that I trust). Did Phil see the ECU? Because I trust him to but he may have been assuming it's fucked when it can be repaired. Even the repair is ging to run you in the $200 range. I would still look around to used options before the repair. PM me though if you want me to hook you up with someone capable of repairing the caps.
  15. I have been treated very well by Jeff at IPS in repards to OEM parts as well as aftermarket vendors. Guess what, your car is 14 years old at a minimum and outdated so he wasn't lying to you. You obviously need to acquire the ECU on the used market but I would recommend them for the bolt on as well as OEM stuff. Try the obvious sites like DSMtuners, DSMtalk, Buschur's forum ETC for the ECU. There are also people in town capable of repairing the caps if you want to go that route.
  16. I hope this is past you but I will tell you that the italian mafia in Y-town usually isn't fucking around. I spent 18 years there and there is some scary stuff that happens.
  17. Chad, Let me know when you're ready for the Classe monoblocks. Thanks.
  18. They leave now because these few weeks are the critical period of recruiting. Waiting until after the BCS would certainly set back UM. It's pretty much par for the course nowadays.
  19. TWC recently switched to OCAP software in their cable boxes (known as "OCRAP" in the industry). They have had TONS of problems with them. I would encourage everyone who has an older Motorola 8300 to NOT exchange it because you'll get an OCAP version that will be a nightmare until they get the firmware patches all correct.
