I am selling the SSR/Kumho combo that has been on my car for a couple years. The wheels are SSR Competitions (silver) and they are 17x7.5 with a +42 offset, 5x114.3 pattern. These wheels are one of the lightest 17" wheels out there at 13lbs each. They also are dished out nicely as I was able to fit a Baer Alcon 4 piston caliper on there without any modification. The tires are Kumho Victoracer V700s. These are R compound "competition" tires. They are DOT approved and can be legally driven on the street if chosen to. They are very sticky and best suited for an Auto X or road race application. Some people do use them for drag racing though due to their grip and that's how they were used on my car. The entire setup is in very good condition. The setup has only been drag raced on a handful of times and saw one trip to NTR back before I had the trailor. The race car has never sat in the garage on the wheels/tires as it is always up on jack stands to take weight weight off the tires. The only blemish on the wheels is that one of the lips got bent slightly the day I drove the car to NTR and I hit a pothole. The bend is not bad at all and its almost unnoticeable unless you know its there. I was going to get it repaired but decided to let the seller deal with it if it bothered them so that I could keep the price down. Sell price is $950. The wheels alone are $1400 go price and the tires are practically brand new at about $120/each. I basically paid about $2000 for this setup. I can not figure out how to post pics here but some can be seen at this thread if you're a member: http://www.columbusdsm.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14412 Otherwise, PM me and I can email pics.

I hope you at least have a wideband in the car if you are playing with the fuel and timing tables. The ECUflash is neat stuff for being free but it is also very easy to blow your stuff up if you don't have much experience. Keep the boost low and run really good gas if you aren't sure about how to get the AFR targets right. Watch the knock sensor carefully.

A shop like Buschur doesn't rebuild turbos.
-
Buying/leasing a dyno is certainly a bad idea if the usage is going to be for "dynoing cars". The shops that prospher from a dyno are the ones who use it as a tool for R&D development of custom parts that can't be purchased anywhere else.
-
I think you're thinking of Shad Bucher who is a guy who owns an EVO and lives up in Johnstown. He is in no way related to David Buschur. Buschur Racing is located in Wakeman OH (about 15min east of Norwalk).
-
Buschur is 2 hours from Columbus.
-
Switzer has a new shop and his dyno is available to the public now. Buschur's dyno is a Mustang dyno (not a dynojet). Both of these choices are 2 hours away from Columbus however. The IPS AWD Dyoojet is the same exact model as Switzer's (and 5 minutes from my house now .

I've since heard Wal-Mart bought it. What a shame.
-
That sucks. Hopefully somebody will buy it and keep it up to the current standard. It is a well hooking track and the overall facility is nice too.

You would have saved yourself more face if you would have simply acknowledged misreading his original post where you mistook a 60mm wheel for a "60 trim wheel". You can make jabs at me all you want but as long as my "no respect" POS DSM out ETs and out traps anything you've ever piloted down the 1320' then I could give 2 shits about your lack of respect. Good luck with your 8 second project.
-
"60 trim", "60mm", and "60-1" do not mean the same thing. Maybe a Garrett rep needs to come do some sales training at the local Jegs.
-
Be prepared to ditch the stock Advan tires that come on the EVO (if that car has them). If winter driving is a concern those tires turn into hockey pucks.

76mm compressor/GTQ Turbine built by Precision. 1.40A/R exhaust housing. Virtually no use and 0 shaft play. Turbo was on a 2.4l DSM and made 821 RWHP on low boost. Pics can be seen here: Turbo next to it in pics is a T67/P trim for comparison sizing. PM with questions. $500

I think the lever you're seeing is the stage brake and not the shifter. I promise you it is H pattern shifted still. In fact, he lost an engine later that race after he went from 3rd to 2nd for the second time that day. Here's another video where you can see and hear the misshift. http://shearerfabrications.com/videos/mirwc_whoops.wmv
-
It is still factory H pattern shifted.
-
If you were to write John Shepherd a check for $50k and told him to start over, even knowing everything he now knows, his car isn't getting repeated for only that much money (assuming you mean it meets all safety standards).

http://shearerfab.com/videos/mirwc-7.70%20@%20191.wmv Here's an in car of Shep's 7.70 @ 191 pass this past weekend.
-
Its a G-Force transmission.
-
How do you figure? Should have he stayed in it as it was going into the wall?
-
4 or 6 cylinder ones? Where?
-
That car is far from street legal (it just looks very mild from the outside which is what makes it so badass). It also runs straight meth, hardblock, ETC. The incredible thing about it is that it is still H pattern shifted and clutched. He also just went 7.70 @ 191mph and trapped 195mph on another pass this last weekend. That car will be the first AWD car to go 200mph next year as he still has not completely harnessed everything yet.
-
Whether its 2400 or 3000lbs, its still a 2.0l car running 6s at almost 200mph. I'd call that damn impressive. No nitrous either.

Effantis is suing him because they have all the money in the world and nothing better to do. What happened was Effantis was whining to the NDRA because he couldn't keep up with Brent all year. Rau runs his car on a shoestring budget compared to Effantis' 10x amount of money they and their sponsors throw into those cars. I'm sure that the "DSM shitbox" that they perceive it to be just really gets under their high dollar skin. Brent made a qualifying pass which was #1 at that race. At the time, Effantis accused him of cheating because there were some changes made right before that race to the rules. So Rau was asked to put more ballast in the car for his next pass. So on the next pass, Rau and Effantis happened to be qualifying together and guess what: Rau went even faster on his next pass. Effantis was yelling shit at him in the shut off lane all the way to the scales. And of course, the car made weight and Effantis looked like a moron. After that, there have been many accounts of what actually happened. I wasn't there personally so I won't comment but I have heard about 3 different stories. The reality is that whatever really happened must have pretty bad for the NDRA to kick out an entire team that people pay money to come out and see. The NDRA really needs cars like that so it must have been pretty bad. Rau got a 1 race suspension and the entire Effantis team got the boot. Effantis also got the boot from the NHRA last year for cheating.
-
That isn't remotely what happened. If that was true then why did Effantis get kicked out of the NDRA and Brent did not? The rules for the class are very complicated due to the wide variance of cars competing. One major thing is that the 4 and 6 cylinder cars can run methanol where the V8s have to run gasoline. The weights are specific to each car type as well as the compressor trims that they're allowed to run. I know the minimum weight for his car used to be 1800lbs but it weighed about 2150lbs last time out.
