  1. tarp, rope, or man-up and use a sleeping bag under the stars. I don't see Bear Grills or whatever using a tent, he constructs a sleeping area.
  2. Automated scanning tool for dynamic assessment (that's what I do). Then validating results and extending the knowledge for things like logic flaw testing, finding things that will take you further into the app, etc... It will assume you are going to be interested in web app testing but haven't had formal education in it. Its my class but its for a specific purpose within my company, as I said the focus will on dynamic assessments.
  3. Ok, looks like I have enough interest to use C-Bus as the test market. Its going to be pretty introductory and we will be hacking a site called the BodgeIt store.
  4. I am starting to write a Web App Hacking Class for work. Anyone on here interested in looking at it when I am done? I am probably going to run it in September sometime.
  5. call the cable company, they employ trained professionals that can get you back up and surfing in no time. Or try, http://www.clear.com
  6. *cough*http://www.whispersys.com/*cough*
  7. Dave and Busters has pretty good games. I miss playing games but if you look at how much a video game costs, its hard to justify the cost for the system given you charge so little to have someone play it. I miss playing 720, Galaga, etc... I have found a few decent Arcades in Vegas but they focus on ticket games.
  8. So, let me drop a little bit of knowledge here. WEP uses the RC4 mechanism for encryption but was broken in 1997 WPA was a temporary fix for RC4 with some changes but the same hardware, simple WPA passwords are broken using a rainbow table WPA2 new hardware, new software, WAY harder to break So, most devices support WEP because they could buy the hardware cheap. It takes a firmware upgrade to use WPA as it is the same hardware it just needs software. WPA2 is all new hardware and if you are having problems you probably need new drivers installed. Sorry, wifi isn't something I can keep simple as it isn't simple.
  9. Hong Kong will be the last city I go to. I have been there before, Hong Kong is crazy and Macau is a bit more so.

    Scuba Diving

Lots of wreck diving in the Keys. Do yourself a favor. Take your classes in town but do a transfer for open water and do the open water someplace nice. I did my open water in quarries and wish I had done it in the keys. Rainbow Reef Dive Center in Key Largo is good. I also like Scuba Club Cozumel. You can do some WWII diving off of Oahu as well.

  16. congrats, I was an STS3(SS). Sonar Technicians Submarines, Qualified in Submarines. Served onboard USS Nebraska SSBN-739 It will be the most aggravating and fulfilling thing you have ever done.
  17. Cameras with IP connection and cloud backup. I live 26 minutes from the police, apparently. I asked what I should do and they said "Cameras, this way we can put their picture on the news."
  18. I prepaid 1 year, they gave me a second year free.
  19. Sterility will be your challenge, heirloom tomatoes get a fungus that kills them. They are pretty hardy otherwise. Warm, nutrient rich, well drained, soil.
  20. I have a membership for Urban Active that is $14/month. I didn't have a discount reason, I talked to a salesperson and negotiated this deal. Granted, it was prepaid but since most of these guys are on a top-line revenue comp plan they are motivated to make a big sale like that.
  21. man, I wish I was home. The scouts will find someplace nearby pretty soon and you should be good.
  22. My theory is that when you are caught speeding you are supposed to pull over to the right. This is indicated by the police officer's lights atop his/her cruiser. I have seen a police officer standing on 270 near dublin, on the left berm, radaring cars. The officer picks one going fast and points at it, then points to the left berm. My theory is that this isn't what the law says to do. I realize you are supposed to obey what the officer is telling you but this seems strange to me. BTW, this is coming from a discussion I had with a dublin police officer regarding how they clock cars, not because I got a ticket.

  24. Where in the Ohio Revised Code does it state what to do when a police officer pulls you over for speeding? I have a theory about something and would like to read the law regarding this.
