  1. I get chickens shipped via USPS. You can order bees that way too.

    Cheap flights?

Well, the first thing you need to know is that you are looking for a flight that is pretty soon - in booking terms. I would use Kayak to search for it. There are lots of airlines that fly to seatac, I typically fly United but I don't suggest them for budget travel.
  3. Why would there be honey, it was a swarm. 1/2 the hive split off and ran away to find a new home. A swarm is simply in transit trying to find new digs. There is no need to kill them, 1 out of every 3 bites of food you take is due to a bee. Call me a hippy if you want but that's a reality.
  4. the difference between MacOS and MSFT is Apple did finally publish a fix and not only does it fix the problem but if you are infected, it fixes that too. MSFT doesn't care if you get infected, they don't see it as a problem.
  5. Sorry I am so late to this thread. they are swarming so they are harmless. I would have loved to have come and got the swarm but I wasn't home. Basically, they are focussed on one thing, finding a new house.
  6. I am pretty sure the credit reporting agencies are required to give you one per year for free, I might be pulling that out of my ass but I think I remember that's the case.

    Job Experience

Its pretty simple, find a project that needs done. Take the initiative on getting it done, if you need additional resources you put a plan together that shows what needs done, what you need to get it done, and get it done. If you are a leader you will achieve the goal and Management will see that.
  8. I have a septic tank, I don't put anything in it. If it is a new tank, I have heard you can put in a pound of ground beef to get things started but there is plenty of bacteria in what you flush to get it going. Yeast won't help because most yeasts eat simple sugars.
  9. Jeez, I just did 12x14 room in 3/4" Brazillian Teak and it didn't cost anywhere near $10k, laminate shouldn't be that expensive.
  10. I am a member with Navy Federal. I have used them since 1992. The great thing about credit unions is they know the members are the customer and treat you accordingly.
  11. google translate does entire documents http://support.google.com/translate/?hl=en
  12. Farmtek sells the kits. I have only ever purchased cans and used them.
  13. http://www.getmantra.com - its Firefox with a bunch of hacking extensions
  14. Looks like no and hell no are the top two. nuff said?
  15. Actually, I would make the kid tell the parents while I was there. This gets the kid to understand they need to be able to articulate what they have done (right or wrong) and would be way more punitive in his/her mind.
  16. If you are doing this for seasonal allergies, and are willing to suffer for one more year and then never again.... Go buy local, raw, honey. It contains pollen and your body will train itself to stop reacting. I became a beekeeper so I would have access to this stuff and my children don't suffer from seasonal allergies anymore. I guess you could purify the air in your house but if you walk outside, then what? Fix the problem.
  17. You want to get the shot off either while the clay is rising, or as it apexes. Falling clays are hard to shoot because your pattern flies over them and they fall away from it. That little tip will probably get one or two more. I usually shoot with my kids, I shoot cleanup.
  18. My company is sponsoring Kevin Mitnick to speak at a security conference in SF (RSA). He's sort of a celeb in that he was one of the first highly publicized guys to get busted for Social Engineering, Phreaking and all around hacking stuff. He's largely out of the game now but still, he laid the groundwork for my profession.
  19. in-town, office max has printing services or vistaprint
  20. They are aweful. You have to make sure there is ZERO gap between the bottom of the tub and the inlay. Also, law of dissimilar materials means that it will warp and bubble as different temps make the materials do different things.
  21. They are only diving in 25 feet of water, from that depth you are pretty safe even with dangerous/rookie mistakes. Much deeper though and you would have to limit time. They are doing surface supplied air and if it stops working they can just swim up.
  22. I wonder how mineral rights, etc... work for all of this. It is inside the 12 mile limit so the mineral rights are someone's. The guys that dive and sluce are using very inexpensive solutions. $100k for a large pontoon boat with an air-supply, water heater and sluce, seems pricey.
  23. I think I am going to try three-sisters planting this year. If you are starting seeds you need it to be a little bit cool and LOTs of light. Next time you are over I will show you the seed-starting setup.
  24. I live in a pretty big power hungry house. My Wind setup was going to be $28,000, Solar was going to be a bit less for a roof mount array. I would have to had spent about $16,000 on it. I still want to do it but I want it to work correctly. Dual Axis Tracking Array can cut down on the need for a large footprint for the solar. Hybrid solar and wind is the best solution but there you are talking about money for both systems.
