  1. No, it is a straight 2.75%. Say you sell someone something that costs $100. You get 97.25 deposited into your account. No additional costs.
  2. The airport in Auckland has loads of all-blacks stuff. Let me know what you need. damn flight to Tokyo is delayed, Loaded up the kindle app and have clear Interwebs to pass the time. That and my club membership, unlimited free beer.
  3. Two weeks of running around. Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. Can't wait to see the odd cars.
  4. Plus, you don't have to use a check cashing place to get a payday loan, you just swipe your own credit card. <-- thinking outside the box. Even though I take a per transaction hit, I don't mind because several sales at the farmers market work out such that the customer just doesn't have cash and me saying "I take credit cards" often pushes them to buy a little something extra because they feel bad that they are charging something small.
  5. go up on campus the beginning of the quarter, the credit card companies are all taking apps at that time.
  6. They are a good place, or make your own, or turn to the WiFi alliance for help.
  7. I have it and have used it quite a bit. There is a secure end-to-end connection so going over public lines doesn't matter MITM isn't possible as the inner connection is secure. POS machines don't transmit card numbers anyway, they transmit a salted-hash of the number. Whenever I see a company that doesn't take cards I think about how easy this is and just laugh. I wonder what they will do when PCI makes everyone shift to chip-and-pin.
  8. When I do travel for personal reasons, I use Kayak.com
  9. Since its PCS it is simply re-sold Sprint. Sprint folks can chime in here as well.
  10. Are you satisfied? They promised you will be. How did you pay?
  11. Switch to a different browser, webkit based browsers work with JS better than most. Firefox is a good option too.
  12. LaRosa's is pretty good. There are a pile of chili places out there, cincy style chili.
  13. I can't even pretend to understand how bad this will be for you, I am for sure willing to believe it is going to really suck.
  14. I put stickers over the apple...
  15. My house stays at 72 degrees all winter, no cold rooms. it is an electric heat pump but it is getting its heat from a 62 degree source, not the outside air. My system cost $16,000 but I took a $4800 tax credit on that year's taxes. I also get all the domestic hot water I want. Seriously I have tried to run it out of hot water, 2 showers and dishes at the same time.
  16. Geothermal in a single well, you will not be happy with it. Thermal transfer doesn't happen fast enough in a single well. My slinky coil system works perfectly, I have never heard anyone complain about one. Wells however, I have heard several people talk about how unhappy they are. If you do go the geo-thermal route, get the water heater option.
  17. I have geothermal, you need a big yard. My 4 150' runs took 1 day to install. Gives me heat and hot water. Gas is simple, call the gas company and a plumber.
  18. Man. Why didn't they just tranq him? Shouldn't run around killing folks just cuz they are on the loose.
  19. One thing you can do is drive around and take note of anyone else that is like this, then walk into the meeting and say "I have a complaint". Hint around about how you will spend the rest of your years doing this. They should probably get more chairs for the meeting room, you hope the meetings don't go super late as there will be hundreds of these people..... Use the laziness of the group to your favor.
  20. When you closed on your house, didn't you have to pay for some kind of insurance for crap like this? Seems like that is included in the $8000 in fees. I could be wrong but I thought I remember that.

    Got weed!!!?

They basically legalized it in CA, now the mexican weed isn't even found there. Its all super techno-grown hydroponic. Put the demand into the hands of the people and it will all sort out.
  22. I think they are 2008, not sure. I have another day to go onsite so I can gather some pcaps etc...
  23. We have a scanning service that scans for security leaks. One of our products scans web-pages for security problems. I was recently at a customer site and couldn't get our standard NTLM authentication to work in AD. I noticed that all workstations are part of the AD as well as the username/password auth. Our scanner isn't a windows machine, it is an embedded *nix device that we can't add services to. So, when I killed off the auto-login in IE I was prompted to log into the domain, before hitting the website. I think the workstation is trusted. Any thoughts/hints on how this works would be greatly appreciated. I have to go back out to the customer and get some captures to try to get this working.
  24. I used to have one. I would call and complain and they would say "ok". Then they would call me back and say "it will cost too much to persue this"
