Man I can't make it. Nice lawnmower, Clay.

I am fairly new to digital photography, just a little hesitant on too much sharpening. not sure what to look for to say 'ok too much'. I think its an improvement. Not 100% but my customers got my services for free and are absolutely thrilled by the pics, so I guess I should just learn and move on!

How much money is it going to cost to fix it? Have you ever ridden in an LS-RX7? Would you be doing the work? I was a rotary fan for 2 motors. Your car looks clean, whatever you do, don't sell it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hTbTh2n6aTc

Hey guys. Did this family shoot with some friends and their 18mo old boy. Totally different challenges than shooting a newborn. This guy did not want to be held, was very hard to keep his attention. Most of the time you are trying to get the shot and forget about lighting. What are your tricks when trying to get pics of youngters like this? Wear a stupid hat or something? The 8 pics below are some of my favorites. The one where he is holding the lid of the pumpkin, he had lighting behind him which blew out the shot. I tried saving it but not sure I did a very good job. Any suggestions on fixing it? As always C&C welcome. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct201116.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct201112.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct20119.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct20116.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct20115BW.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct20114.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct20112.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Larmour%20Halloween%20Shoot/LarmoursOct20111.jpg

How big is too big for a watermark? Are there any guidelines?
-
Jokes aside. I just did a shoot for a buddy's family, I watermarked them with my name when distributing them to family, facebook, etc. I told them to get with me on what print sizes they wanted. And asked to remove the watermark. I think that is a very reasonable request but my question is how do you have your work recognized when you print off your images for 'customers' Do you leave a minimal watermark in the corner so you are recognized? Kind of like buying a painting, you don't ask the artist to remove their name from the corner...? Or since they are paying customers and have essentially paid for the rights to the photos, you remove them? Sorry for the lamesauce question. should be an easy one.

Thanks guys. That came pretty evident yesterday too. This shot below is at F11 and i see what you are talking about. Pretty surprised I didn't get any flare from the sun in the right of the frame. Too bad I really liked this shot/angle wish it would have turned out better. live and learn. Also, Broke my cheap travel crappy tripod. I have the benro 'on order' for my Chrisnukah gift from the GF. So I'll just lug my heavy Manfrotto for the next few weeks. A peice broke off the part that controls the tilt while tightening it, and the camera fell forward hitting the lens body on the tripod. Definitely not a huge deal and no damage was done (not that I thought it would have). But everyone always makes fun of me because I usually choose to keep my neck strap on while the camera is on the tripod, in case the tripod fails or you kick it or don't tighten a leg or something. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/Windingtree10-29-2011.jpg

I'm more worried about over population of the planet. Which is a real and inevitable thing. :-/

my civic is DBW (well i guess my diesel is too but its injector wires). I've driven the civic just over 100k and I still can't get a good 'feel' for the throttle and the shifts (manual trans) I don't know how to describe it, its just wierd. Like the spring in the pedal doesn't accurately represent the spring of a throttle plate on the end of a cable.

Are you ever going to get over it?

Post up how much they run when you find out.....if you don't mind.

I should watermark my stuff now, just because it'll get someone worked up. Yesterday I missed a beautiful sunset because I was washing and waxing the truck, getting it ready for winter. Then found out that I missed the aurora borealis last night too (this far south! I know!) FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.... So I went out this afternoon to the local park, no crazy expedition. Thought I would play around with HDR. The first HDR below was taken with my 35mm prime. I love this lens so much its constantly on my camera and I forget I have my new wide angle lens. So the second and third HDR were taken with the wide angle zoom I'll post the HDR, and the link below it will be the 'best' I can do with a single exposure. The HDR on this one, the tree looks a bit blurred because my camera doesn't have a feature where I can select different EV's for one shot. I have to physically switch the EV then take another shot. So the wind moving the leaves causes the blur..... Also the saturation might be a bit high. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/10-25-2011HDR1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/DSC_0936Non-HDR1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/10-25-2011HDR2.jpg http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/?action=view¤t=DSC_0947Non-HDR2.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/10-25-2011HDR3.jpg http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/?action=view¤t=DSC_0958Non-HDR3.jpg Thoughts...comments?

I know they couldn't get the baby up and going before then, and I had other things planned for the afternoon and the rest of the week. We just had to make 1pm work . I had some reflectors from sunshades, but didn't use them.
