  1. Yeah thats what I saw, its at F2.2 What does the clean image sensor do on the camera? Its an option you can select from the menu. Ninja Edit: Automatic Image Sensor Cleaning uses an ultrasonic process and exclusive Airflow Control combats the accumulation of dust in front of the image sensor, safeguarding image quality shot after shot.
  2. Whats the best way to clean the sensor? I've never had to do it. Got a cleaning kit from Adorama with my lens wonder if any of those things will work. 21 is the church my parents got married at.
  3. Hmm where did you see the dust on 16? I see some on 15 now that I am looking. 16 is in fact straight, but the light pole is crooked. I if I straighten the light pole then the horizon will be crooked, unless I of course to some cutting and chopping. It bothered me at first but I just let it roll. No hot chick, the GF didn't make it out on this trip, but my family in Argentina has banished me from returning unless I bring her with.

  7. Hey guys. I just got home from going to Argentina to visit family and visit some sites for 3 weeks. I almost didn't take my camera with fear of getting mugged or something! So I insured my equipment and took it with me and I am so glad I did. I got some GREAT shots. I have most already done but putting some finishing touches so I'll keep updating this thread tomorrow and adding pics. The first ones are the B&W's Not sure if you al prefer thumbnail links or full size Comments welcome. 1. A broken window in an Adobe home in a small town. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Argentina%20Trip%202011-20112/th_010312_Argentina_0731-1.jpg 2. A stack of crates in same town http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Argentina%20Trip%202011-20112/th_010312_Argentina_0702_edited-1BW-1.jpg 3. I usually don't like B&W landscapes, specially in this part of the world, the dit and rock has SO much color that it really kills it. However, with the clouds rolling in it gave a great contrast. I think the broken bridge ads nicely to the comp. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Argentina%20Trip%202011-20112/th_010312_Argentina_0898Bw-1-1.jpg 4. Just a random modest adobe home in the middle of the valley. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Argentina%20Trip%202011-20112/th_010312_Argentina_0792.jpg 5. We stopped in the town of Humahuaca. While eating lunch this group came in to play some typical music. This guy came in with his accordion and was super skilled. He was good and you could tell he loved what he did. I tilted the camera to get the shot to give the perspective from his POV. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Argentina%20Trip%202011-20112/th_010312_Argentina_0825bw.jpg 6. Took this pic and converted it to IR. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Argentina%20Trip%202011-20112/th_010312_Argentina_0843.jpg
  8. you do realize its a Nikon right?
  9. Streaking car and non-lens distortion correction in the image below were intentional. I <3 the wide angle lens and I'm not going to hide it! http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Argentina%20Trip%202011-20112/010212_Argentina_0639.jpg
  10. I shoot at 200 ISO default, unless I need to change it. It was turned down a stop because I had turned down the EV earlier in the day and hadn't changed it since then. This was a quick grab and shoot situation.
  11. -Did have the hood on. -Did not ditch the UV filter yet, I just CAN'T!!!! -I have an ND filter but I wasn't planning on using it when I took the shot. The 3100 doesn't have a bracketing feature, any HDR image I do basically requires a tripod, which I was just walking up to the spot and pulled her up to shoot so didn't have time to grab it. -I always shoot RAW. sounds bad.
  12. UV. I was walking up to the lift and saw the shot, had no preparation. Once of those shots that would be nearly impossible to time again. Well the rest of the image is underexposed but thats what I'm getting at, is maybe it would be a good 'sillhouette' shot, I'd have to do some work to it. I think if I would have bracketed the shot and done an HDR, it might have been too busy of a shot.
  13. Hey ladies and gents, looking for some C&C on this shot. I personally am on the verge of liking it but not sure. I like the sun rays coming through the cab of the lift, and the whole silhouette effect. But the sky is kind of burned out and have some considerable lens flare, which might just be part of the effect. What are your thoughts? http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Photography/010212_Argentina_0552.jpg
  14. Surprised there weren't a few things in there. First Jet powered plane, the intarweb has been HUGE.
  15. you can turn off VATS with HP tuners and such.
  16. I really like my flipside 300 from the stand point of theft/pick pocketing protection. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96300&highlight=flipside
  17. How do you like that lens? why are you getting rid of it?
  18. Thats a kit lens. Came in my kit. Easiest way to determine a kit lens for me is that most of the Nikon kit lenses have a plastic mount (the part that 'threads' into the camera body). You can see in the picture its got a plastic mount. I REALLY like the 35mm 1.8. It was the first lens I bought outside my kit. The images are friggin' clear because its not a zoom, all the glass is in its optimum condition. Its so light, and versatile (aperture wise) its on my camera 75 % of the time. You just have to move your feet to frame everything how you like it. Keep in mind a 35mm on a crop body is equivalent to 50mm, which is about the equivalent focal length of the human eye. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-35mm-AF-S-Digital-Cameras/dp/B001S2PPT0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324952245&sr=8-1

  21. lol, was thinking the same thing. Judging from the other post I think he is.
  22. I <3 my zune. There is a touch screen wifi ready one too. I had two ipods and they both ended up with a lose connection in the headphone jack after a little over a yr. Good thing mp3 players is the only thing I buy extended warranties for. Then I got the Zune, I've had it now for 3 yrs with no problems. I almost want to by a new one just to have the touch screen and the wifi but it works great and I use the hell out of it.
