Oh man, here we go, time to have fun. Aaaaand the place you grew up would be? No one said the gun would guarantee safety. It does however put you closer to equal playing ground. Wait wait wait, I thought you said: Indeed! Take responsibility for your own (lack of) situational awareness and help to minimize that possibility. So there has to be X amount of killings before you justify someones ability to defend themselves should those killings take place??? Do you work for the Government or something? For gods sake, can you keep away from the projection and stick to facts and reputable statistics? I laughed somewhere in my post? Please point that out. Or are you just trying to point the attention somewhere else to keep the focus off the fact you have no idea what you're talking about? I said I haven't read where someone killed another person at a bar because they disagreed on the damn Hockey team on TV, which you are just soooo sure will happen now. That has no correlation to my example of the guy who shot up and killed MANY people for no appearent reason. That was a counter example to your "just give them what they want and you wont be hurt" statement. Your lack of reasoning is not a contradiction on my part. Odd, I've never been drunk at a bar. I've had beers at bars many times, but never drunk. It's not an absolute that every person who drinks gets drunk, regardless of location. Try again?

Man that's rough. Hard to hear of such a "limit". Though on the other hand, the only time I drink and carry is when at home, so usually, the gun is on the tv stand or something anyhow. Last time I was ever drunk though was New Years. So, its not hard to follow the rule. It's just hard to stomach such a law.

You've got to be the dumbest person in this thread. So, 100% of the time, when getting robbed, just give the robber what they want and you won't get hurt or killed? Yah, ok. Tell that to the countless victims who have died being mugged, burglarized, car jacked etc etc just so the robber didn't leave any witnesses. Or google Susanna Hupp video's and tell me that her parents, and all the people in the restuarant that day would have been OK if they would have just given the shooter what he wanted. Funny thing is, the shooter didn't want ANYTHING. He shot without reason. Without motive. Without wanting anything from the people. So smart guy, what should those people have given the shooter to stop him??? And the Redwings comment is nothing more than laughable conjecture. Oddly enough though, it's commonly the people who don't think anyone has self control with a gun who are the ones that lack the self control. Here's a Duh! moment for you. Arizona isn't the first state to allow guns in bars. How many reports on the MSM (who you KNOW would love to embelish these kinds of stories) do you hear of John Q Public wasting the guy next to him because he didn't like the same team? Oh, none is it? You're just basing your statement on emotion and lack of logical reasoning huh? It's okay, all the sheep do. As well. Your Drink/Drive vs Drink/Carry statement shows your lack of reasoning and rational thought process on the matter. No, we don't want anyone to drink and drive, which is why its illegal if you're over the legal limit!. Under the limit and you're as legal as if you had zero alcohol in you. Same applies for drinking and carrying. Utah for instance. It's legal for me to drink and carry as long as I keep it under the legal limit. Which has been deemed an appropriate level to where my senses and reactions are not hindered. You try to make it sound like the instant you have a beer you are smashed beyond belief and will start shooting your gun into the crowd. Better luck next time.

What distance you practicing at? If 21ft, you need to hit the range some more

$5000 will get you a NICE 2000-2001 Cherokee. 2 and 4 door have the same wheel base and body length, so regardless, you won't be fitting 8ft posts in there with the hatch closed. Keep it stock if you want the ride to remain "comfortable".

I don't rely on youtube to make my audio decisions. However for you to make that accusation only shows how much insight you lack on the whole subject. Yes, he does.
-
For "off the shelf" company's, I agree. BUT, you have to look deeper into the Audio World to find the "best" subs. For the price you simply can not beat FI Audio. Either built for SQ or SPL, FI can hardly be beat. (Especially if you know who the creator of FI is )

Sirius/XM adding "Fee" of $1.98 per month starting July 29, 2009

Hrmm, good to know. Maybe they just use that statement as a passive marketing scheme to get people to buy new units and repay for services, but are willing to cooperate if you take the time? -
I was hit a few years ago on Broad street by a guy who tried passing me using a turn only lane. Side swiped me. The damn cop told us to move from the shoulder into the parking lot across the street THEN went on to say that since we were no longer in the original orientation (something like that) that he couldn't cite fault on either of us. Anyhow, we both had State Farm insurance. So neither of us payed a deductable to get the vehicles fixed, and my rates never changed. 3 years later now I get a call from a lawyer asking about the events that took place regarding the accident. Turns out, the guy didn't have State Farm and produced an invalid card to me and the police officer. So now State Farm is going after his ass to recoup both deductibles and the damages paid out. Sweet justice on that Fucker! as he tried two times in the past 2 years to sue me for bodily injuries sustained during the accident (LOL at that). Both times were thrown out before it even got to court due to how the verdict was handed down concerning the ticket from the accident I received to begin with (which the ticket was also thrown out as I contested it)

When did you do this? Their current terms of service state that if the receiver dies during normal use they will not transfer a subscription to a new receiver. This is what keeps me from buying for longer than 3 months at a time. -
Will take that under advisement

Yes, I have two Labs that love guns (and the water). http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/IMGP1793.jpg

Second Garand showed up today. New wood on it as well. The first Garand I have has a WRA bolt, the second one is a HRA. Neither of them are a matching number gun though (no big deal, didn't expect them to be close being service grade) Now I just have to figure out which one to give my Dad. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/IMGP1796.jpg

Yes, though I believe they moved their online sales to the Alabama store as that is where mine came from and that is what they direct you to on their site. Of course, you still have to have CMP access to buy in-store (I assume you do?). Scott, your M14 was sexy. I'm more partial to wood stocks than synthetic.
-
The carbines are all 6,3XX,XXX serial numbers. And I think the HRA Garands were all supposed to be Korean War and later production. Sooo, relatively fairly new. Scott. I haven't researched it really, but whats the difference and/or evolution of the M1 Garand to the M14/M1A. As well, whats the difference between the M14 and M1A? Military Vs Civilian model like the M16/AR15? In any case I'd eventually like to find or build a M14/M1A.

I've read about Boiled Linseed Oil Vs Tung Oil. But I've concluded I'll stick with BLO. I don't shoot when its raining so no need for the hard protection, and I don't like hard finishes on wood,... it just ends up chipping and flaking and looking like shit. I think the top Carbine is darker because it is aged linseed treatment. I'm not sure how much that will be messed with when I recondition the stocks? Oh, and I'm also waiting for the second M1 to arrive (FedEx error). I can't wait to see how the wood on that one looks too.

Order was received 3/12/2009 Never got a processing to shipping update like they said I would. Order shipped 6/17/2009 In all honesty, I wasn't expecting these to show for another month. The site said when I ordered expect 60 days,... they soon changed that to 120 days. So it was nice to get them about a month earlier than expected. Thanks for the heads up on the HRA's... hadn't read about that yet.

Upper Carbine is and Inland with a Winchester barrel. And the Garand appears to have new wood. Since I bought Service Grade for them all, I don't plan to make them safe queens. I'll restore the stocks, but they will be shooters for sure! And, I'm still waiting on one more HRA Garand... it didn't make the truck today for some reason the guy said.

I was sent two collection notices for an Xbox monthly magazine I never subscribed to. By the third mailed notice I called into a message system to dispute it. Had the option to declare it as a fraudulent subscription that I did not request. That ended up being my fix,... obviously does not apply to you, but it was a waste of my time and aggravation. All for $15 too.... who the fuck collects on $15? -
Lame.

Why? Would you be grading on the artistic talent? (the part that should be graded) Or on your personal feelings of the content? (seems like what 90% of public education teachers are doing these days.)

Well, I'm sure it hurt like hell and he was probably out for a minute, but, getting thrown 30 ft is like someone getting blown through the wall of a house in the movies when they get shot with a shotgun, it simply doesn't happen in real life. My previous shop manager was working on a live panel and had 480 go across his body (but low amperage so no death from it). Put his heart into arrhythmic beat for about a day. He didn't get thrown anywhere, in fact, the shock simply wouldn't let him let go anywhere till the panel was killed. I mean, look at the video, that guy took WAY over 480V and a shit ton of Amps when touching that cable, and he merely held on for a few short bursts and then dropped. If anyone would have been thrown from such an event, it would have been him. Not picking on ya, I just can't stand when events are over embelished.

It probably is a good thing. I do keep low profile on the net, but based on your original description for bing, and my results, I'd say bing is no better than any other search engine.
