  1. Just about every commercial vehicle and most private ones have cameras over there. Some quirk of their laws makes it just about impossible to prove somebody was at fault in an accident without many witnesses or video. I've been seriously considering a dash mount for a GoPro for the same reasons.
  2. Ouch...fond childhood memories key-worded as "Vintage"...
  3. Some things bother me...like a Chevy motor in a Ford, or vice-versa. Any NON-Chevy GM musclecar with an SBC is annoying. You can build an Olds, Pontiac, or Buick motor just as easily as a Chevy, and quite probably get better results. I INTENSELY dislike seeing SBCs in AMC cars unless it's an Iron Duke. Now if it's a period-style rod...a Buick nailhead or Cadillac V-8 just looks RIGHT in a Deuce. An early Hemi looks even better....
  4. No, it's something that got helicopter parent/bliss-ninny'ed away "for the sake of the children"...along with anything else to do with actually going outside and having a childhood instead of sitting inside and watching somebody else's on TV.
  5. Gotta admit, that's some rather impressive maneuvering...but if you want real fun with a canoe, I've still got the dual-outboard mount I made for my Grumman...15hp on each side was slightly too much, nothing like doing 35+ mph in something with NO keel.
  6. That black one...jeebus, what an abortion! 3rd gen Firebird front-end, Monza rear, late 40s GM doors...
  7. Want a bottle? Galco had it a few months back, they do limited runs of specialty bottlings. They'll probably have it again before too long. http://www.sodapopstop.com/home.cfm
  8. ...in the rain. In a Formula Super.
  9. Atlantic City has a OLD time mechanical arcade. Mostly its the real old Pinball and shooting gallery machines, but they have some classics like Pac-Man and DK. Give me Galaga II and some skee-ball, and I'm a happy little child of the 80s!
  10. Why anybody would build a convenience store without big thick steel bollards every 4 feet across the front is beyond me...there is one of these videos up literally every day anymore.
  11. Remember when that idiot woman sued McDonalds because she squeezed her coffee and it burned her? Imagine what'll happen when some mall ninja mounts half a dozen lasers on that thing.
  12. And I'll take bets that NJ is one of those states... New Jersey has become East California.
  13. Most of the things that you NEED to get at are outside of the monocoque body itself...engine and trans, the suspension attachments, cooling systems...they are covered by removable bodywork.
  14. Maybe a month to do all the various bits and then put them back together again...but there is no WAY that any manufacturer is going to show that much of a current or previous gen car for fear of giving away secrets of the design. That's a 2008 season car I think...and I'm kind of surprised they did it.
  15. The odds of it being a REAL Cobra are massively low. It would be the SUCK if it was, though.
  16. "Please note that onlinequickdrop dot com does not accept payment by USPS Money Order"....oh yeah, scam and a half.
  17. Let's be honest...Ken Block is a good driver. GOOD. Not great, but GOOD. It's his cameramen, stunt coordinators, choreographers, and marketing people who are GREAT.
  18. He did well do hold it in line on that last run!
  19. I go old school: Remington model 31. There just isn't a better pump-action out there.
  20. The problem with the Soviet stuff is that they are EXTREMELY maintenance intensive if you aren't looking to just use them up in 5 years or so...and the parts sources are on the other side of the world.
  21. That'd be a cool toy. My grandfather spent some time touring North Africa in one of those, then got a Sherman for his Italian vacation.
  22. I think the Keystone shotty is a Stevens store brand. You may have to half-cock the hammer to open the action.
  23. The shotgun section at Gunboards is your best bet. http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?96-Shotgun-Forum-%28military-and-commercial%29& If they don't know it on gunboards, they'll point you to who does. Read all the sticky threads first...you may find what you're looking for there.
  24. Wheel thief challenge factor: ultimate! Wouldn't be surprised if they could do it though.
