    A Public Apology

  3. I am curious as to who the douchbag was that came flying around the semi truck that was stopped facing west bound the night of the wreck. He came around the truck just honing on whatever 4 banger weazebag piece of shit he was driving. If you happen to be reading this, I was the guy walking up the side of the truck you almost ran over. And you are lucky I didn't put that safety triangle I had in my hand through your windshield. You know who you are, I was cussin you as you went by. Your 1eet street razar buddy found out his skills sucked, and fucked my friend and his car up. And could have killed him as well as the poor bastard sittin beside him. Then you decide to get stupid and damn near run me down. You would be well advised to not bother with a person to person applogy, and I will leave it at that.
  4. I am curious how many clicks it takes to get to the ambulance? I got to the 400th or so photo and no meat wagon

    Dig or Roll?

Damn this is great. Can we have a thread that will stick to the actual starting topic. Even the threads about TJ's accident have sprialed into beating down the driver of the CRX. As far as racing, dig or roll. It depends on what I am in. If it's the Camaro, a dig, the 4.10 rear coupled with the 27 inch tall tires, it's topping out at about 130 so roll racing, typically going over 1/4 mile the car will run out of RPM. If I am fucking with ricers in the Durango, I roll race. Mostly because 6400 lbs is hard to get moving from a dig. I am going to have to say that most of the guys with cars that are setup to run a 1/4 correctly are going to want to dig race. Reason is that a CORRECTLY setup drag car is going to hit the RPM shift point right or redline as it's coming through the traps. So a car that's trapping 130 pretty much means that 130 is about it's top speed as well. The vette guys are gonna look at the rear of these cars for a while roll racing, but ultimately, the drag car will top out and the vette will drive right by because it will top our at a higher speed. I have to agree that roll racing is sort of a ricer thing, how many of you have roll or dig raced a ricer, walked away from them and put several bus lengths on them, then let off only to have them blow past then flash their 4 ways at you claiming a victory, and tell you that they weren't done racing? And they NEVER want to go for a 1/4 mile, it's typically some shit of a clear winner, or some other nonsence that sets them up so they can get past you after you let off figuring that you clearly beat them. Now the vette guys, I am not accusing you of that shit. There is a difference between having a car that will top out at a higher speed than the other guy. But you are still at a disadvantage going from a dig. And this isn't just about the vette guys either, pls don't think I am singling you out. There are plenty of cars on here that will go like hell once they get rolling, but can't launch really hard for one reason or another. But I am yet to see a drag car being run on a NASCAR track, or a NASCAR drag racing. I watched a program about the fastest engine driven car that was raced on the salt in Bonneville. They actually showed it racing a Viper. The Viper walked away from the flats car up to about 150, where the Viper hit top speed. The flats car then overtook the Viper as it continued to acclerate to over 400 MPH. So, of course the guy with the Viper would have preferred a DIG race against the flats car and the flats car would want a roll race, for a good bit of distance. So these guys that are talking down roll racing or dig racing, try figuring out a way to roll race starting at a specific point and going a 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile. So this whole dig VS roll thing is pretty much pointless. No one is going to take a race that they can't win. [ 20. July 2005, 05:30 AM: Message edited by: desperado ]
  6. This is suprising, I use to do the computer work for them WAY back in the day. The owner was on eof the most straight forward guys I have ever met and would take the money out of his own pocket to fix something like this to make a customer happy. I amnot suprized thought that that bairn is fried, a common practice when killing an alarm by car theives is to short the siren wires, that will fry any alarm.
  7. What's your point there peckerhead??? Does the fact that I seem to piss Matt of every time I type something or open my mouth, yea it does. Hell I use to hang out down at his place at least once a week. Now I don't, and the fact I "annoy" the guy is a bit disheartning due to the fact I thought of him as a friend. But looking for someone to feel bad for me because of it is a bit of a stretch. So now that we've examined what I said, lets look at your comments about it. I am figuring that your lack of sex because of your blistered up hand is why you are in the mood you are. So do us all a favor the next time that you go on a marathon masterbation session and use a bit more Jergens.
  8. OK, well that ain't my intention at all. If my posts annoy you I am sorry about that. Just one of those things I guess. I figued that you had some issue with me. That's why I been staying down the hill and not stopping by. At least now I know that was a good choice.
  9. Trust me, I ain't about that sillyness at all. First off I am WAY to fucking old to be throwing down with some one 10 or better yrs younger than I am. Second, that shit never ends well, typically that situation leads to someone going to a hospital and the other going to jail. I prefer to stay the hell out of both. Brandon, I got no beef with you man, hell I ain't got a beef with anyone on here. I have said ALOT of silly shit that was uncalled for and acted like an ass more times than I care to remember. For that I am sorry. And I will finish with this. How many of you haven't said or done something at some point, to look cool, try to fit in, or boost yourself up a bit and look a bit better than you are?
  10. Dude, I am the FIRST to admit that I don't hold a candle to your experience. Never claimed I did. I'm sitting down here on a shoestring budjet trying to learn and build on the cheap. You have more money in the heads on the 7 than I have in my whole car, strange thing is, you are fully aware of this. You also know that I have a 5 yr old that wants for NOTHING, all this car bullshit comes second to his wants and needs. Where you had the cash for the sale of the Camaro to finance this RX-7 project, I was trading computers and RC cars so I could get a hot rod. And when I blew the thing up, it was horse trading and shit that paid for the motor (the orange malibu's 327) so I could get the thing back on the road. I ain't said that anything I got is all that great, hell it sucks for the most part, but it's mine, and part of it even runs. You want to belittle me, crack jokes about my shit, have fun doing it. I really figured that you would be the last person to turn on ANYONE, I guess my people judging skills aren't any better than my knowledge of anything else, Huh? [ 18. 11. Gee, well we both know the Camaro has been running all along as well. But that's the way it goes.
  12. I don't get it. I saw a primered CRX with the ass crushed in. Or am I missing something?
  13. I will build it to prove a point. Besides the guy that was trading the Monte Carlo for it is jerking around, so I don't know if that deal has fallen apart or not. All I know is he's got one of my 395/60/15's I got off Tinman.
  14. Really, tell yeah what, you can come take a ride in my Camaro that don't run any time you want and better yet, lets see who's other non-running project gets running first, your 240 and my S-10. You're just doing a simple motor swap. I still need to finish the interior, mount all the pedals, put in a motor, wire it from front to back, since ther is no wiring in it at all right now. Put in a rear wall, rear glass, setup the suspension, install a shifter, and about adozen other things. It's almost not fair on my part, but I am game if you are. I do have some title issues to work out, so I can't say tagged and on the street, just running on it's own power and able to stop and turn, oh and legal to make a pass down the track at Pacemakers, you game????
  15. I remember out here in my driveway pulling about 30 degrees of timeing out of the think because it would hardly start, then putting the original jets in needed back in it so it wasn't getting a lean misfire. I don't remember you being out here for that. As far as the car idling, with a 305H cam, which is what I was told was in it that night at Anthony's, the carb needs modified by drilling a small hole in both primary butterflys in the carb so that you don't have to crank the primary side open as far to get a stable idle out of it. the duration and overlap of the cam creates basically no fucking vacuum. Dave attempted to get more vacuum in the motor by advancing the timing, which will do it, broblem is that 60 degrees on a Chevy motor is gonna cause serious detonation with a factory head of any kind under a carb. Doing it the way it is now, with the idle turned way the hell up on the butterflys it exposes too much of the idle transfer circuit and it bogs under part throttle accleration because the transfer circuit is not doing it's job. As far as timing, I heard that you pulled the front cover off the motor. I guess that's one way of finding TDC on the motor. As far as it being 1 or 2 teeth off, let me come over and put it 180 out and move all the plug wires. It will still run exactly the same. The direction that the rotor is pointing for number one is irrelivant as long as it's pointing at the right plug when it's trying to fire that cylinder. The firing order is alway the same. I know guys that point it straight back, I seen some that point it straight foward. It don't matter where you put number one as long as you wire it right. I guess that since you know so fucking much, and your Marc friend there Brandon, why didn't YOU fix his car, since obviously I know nothing about it and you knew EXACTLY what was wrong? Doug, the truck is a ladder bar setup. John, try looking it up, seems that is really the way it's spelled. [ 16. July 2005, 11:07 PM: Message edited by: desperado ]
  16. Hey smartass, ask Marc who it was the that got it running right the last time it was fucked up when someone set it with 60 degrees of timing and jetted it so fucking lean it was on the virge of melting the electrodes off the plugs, and who fiddled with it a couple of weeks ago and got it to at least run continuously at Anthony's with only a real basic bit of tools. Speaking of tools.... tool, as far as the 6 sec S-10. You are once again talking out your ass about something you either don't know about, or simply choose to ignore what I actually said and be a douchebag, I never once have said ANYWHERE that I expected to S-10 to go 6's, well maybe in the 1/8th but that's beside the point. So I am curious, am I more of a douchebag for saying that I could get into the 6's for $25000, that BTW I proved was indeed possible, or you for bring it up over and over again for over a year. Get some new material, you're beating a dead horse with that one. Better yet go be a douchebag elsewhere, your endless rants of stupidity bore me. BTW, how's that swap with the 240 coming along? You been at that what, a year. By the time you get it done you will get to apply for historical vehicle plates. [ 16. July 2005, 02:40 AM: Message edited by: desperado ]
  17. I didn't have it all that long. It does have cast heads, which are bad for weight but good for porting, as they will port out bigger. The motor wnet I got it had the remains of good green Goodyear hoses on it, and the oil was very chean indicating the motor was from a fleet vehicle and had been very well maintained. I would sujgest that you invest in a Painless Wiring harness for this unless you are good with wirng. It makes it a plug and run deal without any headaches.

  21. Agreed, hey there Malibu Stacy, I am waiting on a call about a motor. Actually I need a week or two so I can get the money back together. I needed to buy a car with better gas mileage (Geo Tracker) so PM me about that motor if you are still wanting rid of it. Short of that, if it's still in the car, tow the dog out to the house and I will make it run again. But you're gonna have to buy a carb from me or let me mod that one like we talked about.
