  1. Oh, so it's the new "Bankruptcy". I knew a couple people back in the day who would just load the fuck up with shit, file bankruptcy and start it all over again. This was many years ago, of course. lol
  2. Yep. Just like denying them a search if they ask. "Oh, well, I've got probable cause, now."
  3. How fucking ignorant and stupid is that. I don't give a shit if they had a whole fucking poster of a pot plant in their back window. They don't have the right to stop you for that, (and if they do, wtf?). And really? They thought that someone who's was part of a huge "marijuana ring" was gonna give it away for the authorities by sporting a small leaf sticker? Fuck me...
  4. I believe that's the idea. It feels a market niche and if you have to have a convertible, at least it's a good base to start on. Like many of you, convertibles aren't my thing, but whatever. More cars, more parts, more cheap parts, etc.
  5. There are so many Subie fans around here, I feel quite the opposite, generally. Many of the Subie engineers have spoke out considerably. For me, it's nice to finally here some more from Toyota's side (Though I have been following every scrap of development since the beginning, anyway). They've had much more involvement then many initially believed. Still, much like a child, both parents have made something better than their whole and the auto world is better for it.
  6. Nice work, man. Good luck.
  7. Good read. There's been quite a bit of speculation on the subject. Supposedly, he will be talking more in depth about it at a later date. I'll try to post any updates when they come for those interested. Since its launch last summer, the Toyota GT86 has received multiple awards for its no-nonsense, fun-to-drive philosophy. But without unprecedented collaboration between two Japanese carmakers and major backing from on high within Toyota, it might never have happened. Andrew English recently spoke with GT86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, who explained the complicated behind-the-scenes story that led to the most acclaimed sports car of the past decade. In the end, this is a story of how the development of this remarkable car overcame obstacles and forged a grudging and mutual respect between two teams of engineers, both of whom were working for very different companies. Here’s Tada-san’s story, in his own words. http://blog.toyota.co.uk/tada-how-toyota-and-subaru-created-the-gt86
  8. Via Carmag: "No sooner had Toyota announced that it was working on an open-top version of the 86 when an eagle-eyed reader spotted a production-spec model here in Cape Town. The white Toyota 86 Convertible was sighted in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, by reader Allan Findlay. The car was being closely guarded behind security gates but Allan managed to take a fine trio of shots showing off the car. Toyota had intimated that it will show off a concept dubbed the FT-86 Open at this year’s Geneva Motor Show and that a number of prototypes were undergoing preliminary tests, but these photos appear to show that the Toyota 86 Convertible is pretty much a production reality. Let’s see what Toyota has to say at the Geneva Motor Show on March 5th." http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28337&d=1360913787 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28338&d=1360913787 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28339&d=1360913787 http://i.imgur.com/8rvQ9Mi.jpg Seems it may've been there to film a commercial.
  9. Maybe they don't need a line to understand the importance of staying on your side and actually paying attention to where they're going. Please, tell me you're not one of those people who cant make a left turn or cross an intersection without a line and stay in your own lane.
  10. Supposedly this had nothing to do with a "near miss" we're having today with another asteroid that's approximately the size of an apt complex.
  11. Far too many people can't drive a vehicle with 4 fuckin wheels let alone 2.
  12. I feel your pain, man. Good luck moving through it.
  13. It's all in the wrist.
  14. My girlfriend and my dog. Neither of them are flighty and both are dependable. If nothing else, I'm faster than my girlfriend and my dog will stay when I "Stay." haha
  15. This was what I was thinking. lol
  16. This sounds very similar to a current friend of mine in California. The description of your relationship sounds like ours. I've been meaning to talk to her lately. I should check in. Sorry for your loss, man.
  17. I like it. It's tiny, subtle, but still different from everyone else's snake... heheh That made me laugh a little.
  18. I'm with you. Having more snow gives me traction to walk. Saves me money with no salt, no yard plant death, no ruining my house floors and car interior, no further exasperating my back injury, more time for other things, less people letting their dog shit in my yard, etc, etc. Besides, all you do is shovel into one big fuckin pile that just sits there looking like shit, killing your yard and taking two months to melt. I'm leaving the snow.
  19. Could've sworn I posted these before... Must've hit preview and closed it. lol http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/SupraPorsche_zpse802849a.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/OrangeMKIII_zps7efc2f0d.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/GrayWhaleFlame_zpsbed7f22a.jpg And, of course: http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/Car/IMG_0198.jpg
