I covered the above already. In the end, Obama/Biden want to try and pin down the Romney campaign on details. Sort of like forcing you to show your cards. No thanks folks, show us yours instead. Did Obama even submit a budget? Have any of his details, promises or hope and change bullshit even mattered over the past 4 years? I don't see any results...... Instead, what Ryan talked about tonight is that like any plan, it has to have solid framework. They have that and they have thought through the details, but they aren't so smug like Biden or arrogantly polished like Obama to think their way is the only way. Biden completely ignored Ryan's comment about the details are what stem from a bipartisan relationship. Does Obama/Biden really think Romney is going to walk into congress with a plan full of his own details and get it passed without questions/negotiations? So then what good does it do to expose all his details and plans now know good and well nothing is solid and concrete? Why run a campaign on such ridged details of a "plan" that you know are best formulated once you're in office and working with those around you. So long as the framework is there the plan is good. It's not simply about trusting that it's a solid plan....how about trusting congress and dems to work with Romney once he's in office. The framework is solid, third party studies concur, so In the end to show his cards in detail would do them no favors so it would be a poor move to put anything out there. It's all going to get sliced and diced and negotiated by congress anyway. Key is Obama sucks at trying to get buy-in from his opponents whereas Romney is skilled at doing so and has in the past. I'm still waiting on Obama and Biden to show me some positive numbers from their work, plans and details. Again, tell the dems to stop worrying about others and show us some facts and proof they have a clue. I guess they have since everyone is so very much better off today than when he was elected.

The ignorant folks on the opposite side of Obama are still waiting on results not more talk about Romney/Ryan. Doing what you say you're going to do and taking us to a better place is where it's at. Obama failed on so many things that have led us to a much deeper negative place as a nation that we really can't afford to wait four more years for him to try and figure it all out or try and deflect from his fail by talking about other people and their plans.

That's a great visual representing where Obama has taken our country over the last four years.

Good debate. IMO Biden won on the stage but was a smug and a bit condencending. Meh to that in a way since I see it as a fight either way. However to me Ryan gained points for being able to keep cool and respectful. He's definitely more polished. In the end I think Ryan's key points center around the facts that the country is in far worse shape after four years of Obama and Biden and things continue to steam roll towards even worse. There's no getting around that even if Biden proves to be a an aggressive, passionate guy who can hold his own on stage. I also like how Biden kept trying to pin Ryan down for "specifics" but ignores the fact that they have ideas and concepts / framework but aren't going to put the details out there as gospel because they are not like Obama and Biden who aren't interested in working with those on the other side of the table. :megusta: That's not how business is effectively done. I have ideas at work but to walk into a management meeting with 11 others in the room and say here are the specifics of my plan and here's how it works is just a set up for poor negotiations. You only win those that agree and you up front end up debating and negotiating and wasting time trying for a win with others and often you get no where, little buy-in and gain little in terms of respect as a leader who can bring ideas to life. Instead it's much better to go in with ideas and framework that align with your plan and take input from those around you so it then becomes truly a joint effort with buy-in from those that help create the specifics. There's not just 'one way' to accomplish a goal. Not only is that an easier sell but it's a true interactive support where ownership is all around and in the end everyone is involved. I think Biden's approach of smug arrogance and insistence is his way of trying to get things accomplished. Obama / Biden tend to approach things as if here's our way, take it or fuck off. That approach is part of why they really do take heat for where the country is today. Case in point, when the Sesame Street people asked the Obama campaign to stop running an ad featuring Big Bird. Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs said that, for now anyway, the bird stays. Typical Obama. Politics is selling and Biden is an old school hot head guy and Obama is his front man polished hustler who does the talking. In the end though, their plan has lead to failure.

fixed. because 47% of Americans are brain dead dumb or support lowering the bar.

front is ugly, ass looks good, sounds great

Obama LOL.....well actually it's quite a scary thought to think he is even remotely in the running and could doom us with another 4 years of bad decisions.

I agree that Obama has to go as he, his administration and policies are ruining this country. However after just skimming this guys letter, IMO it's more about woes-me and pretty self serving and selfish. Kinda shows the character of the guy and he's not really someone I would respect or want to work for. Meh...such is the life he built for himself. Personally, there are many ways to get across those points that don't come across selfishly.

x3 on the above. why he did has me confused.

Congrats man. Welcome to the club. -
Considering COTA runs there, the above is one of the safer bets you can have. In for all "jobs" created and "economic boost" it will provide the people of Columbus. http://www.officialpsds.com/images/thumbs/pile-of-blowing-money-psd52822.png

Anyone know why this error would be popping up on my Win 7 64bit machine? Didn't do anything different. Tried a re-boot but it still popped up right after the machine woke up after it went to sleep. May try rebooting my modem, router and then computer, etc.... Thanks for the insight. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/146508067/original.jpg

I stand by my posts here http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1609268&postcount=14 and am glad we bought the one we did. H.E. Units FTL IMO. +2 on Capital City. I saw the bad reviews too but IMO most are just pissed people venting. I rated them good on Yahoo to help them.

You were, I saw that and I too have objectivity whether you believe or not. I agree the big bird and public TV thing was a gaff, as was the comment about his 5 sons. However, in a way, he's real. He fucks up in speaking just like most people have vs Obama who comes across way, way to polished to the point of teleprompter prepped and fake. It would me 100x more if the guy was getting the job done. I'd sway 180*. If you're saying Romney has no record, I don't follow you. I've done exactly that in my role now and in the past. However, laying out things exactly isn't entirely how I did it and I agree with Romney's answer in that there isn't just "one way". That's what Obama wants him to say, "here's my plan....." so that he can pick it apart, debate his plan, etc... fuck that. Talk about your own game first and that's the politics of this race. Obama has no game so he's trying to attack Romney and is doing so in his adds. My plan both in my previous role and in my current job had it's share of details but is more grounded on principles of how our business is run, daily business conducted, decisions made and the behaviors of our people. There are too many variables to say 2+4+6 is the way to equal 12. There's more than one way to get to 12 and I'm prepared to get us there no matter how it's done. I do believe Romney can do that. In three years I've taken my group from $9M at 15% margin to an on track 2012 of $30M revenue at 23% margins. Next year is $45M at 25%. Yes and I'm doing the same. Thanks for the convo. If it get heated, don't mind me. It's the keyboard talking. I'm sure over a beer we'd have fun.

I would ask myself if where I am today is ahead of where I was 4-6 years ago and if I'm happy where I'm at and how our country's leadership impact the journey. I'd then look at where I want to be in another 4-6 years and how I felt either of the candidates strategies would impact that continued path of my life. Really, I can't say because my family isn't part of that 47% but I'm voting based on where I am today and where we plan on being years from now. I'm doing so knowing I may pay more taxes too.
-
You do really talk like that or do you just hope to gain rep points for leading off every fifth post on CR like this? It's entertaining I'll give you that. Thanks for the internet factoids, but really, I more look at what people have done in the past and if they are capable of even doing what they said they were going to do. Romney has lead by example far more than Obama except that Obama is pretty good at saying he will do things and never follows through. However, yes, at the end of the day, I will put forth more belief in a businessman who has been successful than a man playing president with no real world experience and fixing anything and a first term that is well, abysmal. Again, if Obama was capable of anything more than looking good in a suite, herding sheep and talking a good game, the results of his first term would be far different. That's a fact.

WTF is this trump shtick? Dude is a geat orator but needs s prompter and prepping to play his role. You're the one playing the pundents role of "he played it safe tonight" yeah right.....his own team has been saying he would come out swinging not that he was going to play it safe. He failed not because he couldn't hold Mitt accountable, but because he has nothing of substance to talk about. He has no success doing what he said he would do let alone proving he can do anything different given four more years. $3+ Trillion of his own claimed "deficit reduction" is from simply bringing our troops home and calling the war over. That doesn't make a dent in the Trillions he has piled on so far and he's not even done yet. I won't debate you tonight because it's late, but even if you believe the above, it's pretty fucking sad Obama couldn't "challenge" Mitt on this then. CR member > Obama....yeah, that's call to vote democrat this year. Four more years of fail. Again, we can debate how Carter and Clinton fucked up the country in the morning, but we really don't have to as their role in it is well played out, that horse is dead. Not relevant anyway. In the end, Obama ain't got shit in terms of making this country right and the past four years of his added crap-record are all the proof we need. Again, if he could have he would have but he can't and thinking he will is a pipe dream. You can claim the numbers don't add up, yadda yadda about Romney. What Obama has as a record of fact adds up well and it ain't pretty.
