Josh, Email w/pics sent - ready to ride, not perfect cosmetically, but solid mechanically. Ran them 2-3 hours at Lake Erie on the 4th of July - no problems!
-
If anyone is serious - I will gladly email pictures. There is a move afoot by my wife and daughter to just keep them, so I doubt I will relist them on CL, but since I would like the space (or an upgrade) I will leave them up till month end for anyone on CR.
-
Still have them - top speed-unknown! I am guessing in the 40 mph area. CL add has been deleted due to a supposed sale that went bad.

I guess it depends on what KBB price you're looking at, retail?, trade in?, private sale? I have found that the private sale value is not too far off - yes, maybe a bit high, but you also have to honest about the condition - most people don't seem to read the definitions of what constitutes "Excellent", "Good", etc. the way it is defined on the site. I find that many of these are actually in "fair" or "poor" condition. Also, they check off "air conditioning" or some other option to add value - then tell you it's broken?!?!? If you do an honest assesment, the Private Sale number seems to be a decent asking price in most cases. That said, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay, and someone is willing to sell for on any given day, period.

A couple of additional points - do you have voltage at the compressor clutch? I would guess not - most cars this new have to have the compressor "commanded on" by the PCM. It sounds like the system is full, but you are not getting the sugnal to turn on the compressor. While it is possible to run a wire to the clutch and either provide the power (or ground) depending on how it is switched to see if the compressor is actually OK. The first thing I would do at this point is get someone with a good scan tool to see if the PCM is even turning it on. A few reasons for not turning on the compressor: 1) Incorrect coolant temp (as the PCM sees it-bad sender?) 2) Inability to command correct idle speed (dirty throttle body-common in GM's) 3) Refrigerant pressure (but it sounds like we're OK here - unless the pressure switch is bad) There are "thermal protectors" on some Japanese compressors, that could have failed - or if you do have good voltage and ground at the compressor clutch - the clutch itself may be bad.

Question about ac compressor need help asap
craig71188 replied to wnaplay1647545503's topic in Tech and Tips
You'll wind up buying a complete clutch (either new or reman) and it will have a new bearing in it. The clutch shaft on the compressors vary, but you will probably need a puller to remove the old one. -
Goofy old men are just here to give you "yute's" an appreciation for the way things were "back in the day". Good to have another "old guy" on here, Welcome - nice truck!

The mortgage company will "estimate" the new tax increase and come up with your monthly number for escrow. At the end of the year after taxes are paid they will recalculate your monthly escrow amount for the next year and advise you of your new payment. Typically any "overage" will be divided by 12 and your payment (escrow portion) will be adjusted downward accordingly. If there is a shortage (not likely-they usually pad the number up so they don't use their money) - they would divide the shortage by 12 and add it to the escrow portion of you payment the following year. As taxes change, your payment gets adjusted annually to reflect the amount of escrow needed to cover them (same with insurance if you escrow that payment)

True, but one must also consider that the Arizona law: 1) Is very close to simply restating the Federal law 2) More or less reinforces the fact that state law enforcement will enforce same Federal law 3) Federal Government has relied on state law enforcement to detain and turn over immigration violators to them. If Arizona was enacting some "new" version of Federal immigration law, there may be a case, but maybe the issue is no one in his administration HAS READ IT YET (all 10-16 pages depending on font size). The bottom line is there are many in the Federal government that don't want to deal with this issue - it's all about votes (and for some - the possible benefit of "illegal voters") by pandering to people WHO HAVE BROKEN OUR LAWS!!! We can debate the right or wrong of those laws - but for today, they are our laws, period.

Bump/update New registration just purchased for the WR650 - good through 2013, the WR500 registration is still good till 2011. (and in case you missed it before - two new batteries go along with them!)

Was at Valero last week - Cam2 - your choice: 100 Octane Unleaded 110 Octane Leaded $6.74 a gallon (on tap!) Fortunatly the karts don't burn too much!

Was at Gander Mountain on Rome-Hilliard Raod last night and ran across a table of "clearance ammo". Mostly odd calibers, largely rifle stuff, lots of 7mm Rem Mag, some 9mm x 21 and 9mm x 23, a few boxes of 30-06 and .223 - all at 25% off the price marked on the box (most stuff was $29.95 & $39.95). I picked up a box of 50 7.62 x 25 Tokarev for $29.95 less 25%. If you're in the neighborhood it might be worth a look...

It took a Jimmy Carter to give us Ronald Reagan - I CAN'T WAIT for 2012!! By the way - Obama never visited the flooded people in Nashville did he? Must mean he hates white people (per liberal "logic" applied to Bush & Katrina) My feelings about Obama (in his own words) "He's an asshole" (Obama's description of Kanye West - now on that I can agree with him!)

The car was down at the SCCA Autocross stitting for a few hours. Just overheard from some of the kids it was there. The guy that has it builds/gets some pretty neat stuff - last year he was down autocrossing a beautiful Ford GT40 reproduction. Some pics (Batmobile) are posted with the other autocross photos here: http://incom-racing.com/images/gallery/OvrSolo20100606/index.html Scroll down about 1/2 way - about 18 pics.

Reason to NOT use Redline in my Tranny and Diff.
craig71188 replied to AudiOn19s's topic in Tech and Tips
I have used the Redline Lightweigt Shockproof in the Hewland gearbox of the formula ford - no problems, no complaints, when tearing doen wthe tranny for gear changes the lube clings to and coats everything and does not drip off. Currently I am running the Ultra Light Shockproof in the kart gearboxes - again, no problems. In both cases, these are transmission that are shifted without using the clutch and take some pretty good abuse, either showed any signs of wear, nor signs of metal on the drain plugs - personally, I will continue to use it. -

I'm sure Ryan Hunter Ray had a moment in the car when he saw Hawthorne's car go over him, it almost looks like he instinctively lifts his left arm. More frightening is when the big pieces of car start coming back down in his face (not to take ANYTHING away from Mike Hawthorne's "ride". -

Called the Mayor's "Action" line now over two weeks ago asking if Coleman even read the Arizona law, no response....... Maybe he just can't read?
-
Been there - done that, it can make scheduling "fun" difficult. Just wanted to pass along the opportunity. I'm sure if a weekend works out, you could get a CR member or members to help you out with some "ride along" instruction at any event - it would just be a little less seat time....
-
OVR Driver's School this Sunday at Ackerman. Registration is open till Thursday 6:00 pm (www.MotorsportReg.com). No walk up entries. At least three CR members are listed as instructors (that I know of). Great way to get a lot of seat time and some good instruction!

But you must read the fine print - it includes oil changes for life!!! Also in the fine print are instructions to call for special internet pricing and discounts for non-profits & charities.......but you do have to pay an extra $50 document fee. Wonder what that nets it down to "out the door"?

Of course in our current system - if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck - we strip search all the chickens!!!
