Go to Jegs. You can buy heat resistant wire covers, or you could wrap the headers too.

Just take the class. I took the BRC2 class. It was a one day class and i've been riding my whole life a learned a bunch. I got a 100% on the final exam and received my endorsement. I think the best bike to do it on would be a dual sport. scooters are hard to make turns on unless your used to putting you feet in front of you. It throws off your balance, untill you get used to it.
Through your factory ford dealer you can have a cord installed. I believe there are aftermarket ones too. I bet if they push the button right now it says "no aux" like my mustang.
I found best buy has them.?
I had these on my car for about a month and decided that they weren't loud enough for me.

sound clip and pics on link.
Really easy to install.
slight increase in sound, good mellow tone.
The hot start is not the problem, it's the decompression lever that's a pain! The thing woops my ass every time i get on it. But i keep coming back for more!
I would look at a aftermarket like ebc (oem replacement), Gale makes one for about $150 (wave type),DP brakes makes one for just over $100 (oem replacement), Brakes has one for $135 (wave)
those are all the ones i have catalogs for in my room. Hope this helps.
I personally like the Icon accelerant boots and TCX X-cube, both are about 120-135. They are very cumfy for long rides and pretty ok to walk in. I do own them so can tell ya anything you want to know about them.
