  1. good looking car. not only do the lowering springs improve the look/handling, they probably lessen the chance of getting that wing hung up on low overpasses
  2. post some pics of the ride and more info about yourself. this is not an anonymous internet forum, people want to know who you are before they let you view the rest of the site.
  3. time to put a plastic bag over your head and quit wasting the oxygen that my golden retriever could be putting to better use. tell me about your life---what makes you and your life so fucking important that you can't follow simple instructions?? it is extremely rare for an f-body owner not to immediately get access to the site, with all the fbody guys here. consider this notice of your overall failure at life.
  4. nice car, great color. good intro, welcome to the site
  5. as much as i hate our '99 sentra 1.6 because its foreign, it has been very maintenance friendly. dealer replaced front brake pads once, i did a complete brake job with new rotors/drums/etc., replaced the muffler 2 years ago, and did plugs/wires/air filter. that and one set of tires, and a new battery, and the car has been hassle free for 115k miles. it will be for sale shortly for around $2500, but i live in tampa right now.

  7. fuck, is about all i have to say if this turns out to be true. just when i'm about to start looking at these cars to buy one
  8. its a keeper. don't plan on any more power mods for this car. just to upgrade the rear to an 8.8 axle, 5 lug wheels, and disc brakes; and then front suspension. minor things. just happy to have it back and running well.
  9. i was having problems with my '85 mustang GT pinging, and pressurizing the coolant. i tried to chase down the issue, but ended up sending it to a shop near me. they discovered the head gaskets were leaking, causing cross-combustion between chambers, the pinging i was hearing, and pressurizing the coolant. the car was also down on power--low 200's rwhp. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64073 got the car back today, after the shop had it for a while. they did all the diagnostics (compression check, etc.) to diagnose the issue, did the head gaskets (heads got decked to assure flatness, valve seals, valve job), dyno tuned the car, and cleaned and tuned the carb. car laid down 275 rwhp--pretty pleased with that. he couldn't get a torque number for some reason--dyno was having difficulty picking up/sensing the rpms on my car (?), so i told him not to bother. car has a stock '85 shortblock, explorer GT40 heads, e303 cam, edelbrock performer intake, holley 585 carb, roller rockers, shorty headers, stock midpipe, SLP loudmouth---pretty good for around 315 hp at the crank, or 90hp over advertised factory hp http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/2971/imgl.jpg
  10. many ortho surgeons (like me) do their own skin grafts--or let the plastic surgeon deal with it. keep your toes above your nose at all times to get that swelling down.
  11. sponge goes over the skin graft and prevents the wound vacuum from pulling the skin graft off, while keeping a hematoma from forming behind the skin graft and killing the skin graft--i did this quite a bit last year when i took care of some nasty traumas. this guy got blasted on by an ak47. his calf (pictured here) swelled up like a ballon, requiring fasciotomies to release the swelling and prevent muscle death. he has another incision on the other side of the leg like this one. the one pictured, had a wound vacuum on it for 3 weeks, required 4 surgeries to fix, the final one being a skin graft (big skin graft). the bone looked like a grenade exploded on it http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/8771/footq.jpg personally, i would have taken the graft from your thigh (no big deal). dr. berlett does only foot&ankle. so does dr. jonathan feibel, and dr. robert gorseline--both can be reached at 759-1186, and both do foot and ankle exclusively, which is what you need.
  12. entertaining show, even though its fake. rofl at the guy wrecking the bmw because he had to take a shit--can't imagine that was fake. the episodes that were so painfully fake were when matt got his ass kicked at the pool hall, and when they repoed the dr's porsche. i still watch the show for entertainment
  13. or you could go to medical school and figure it out yourself?? i used to work with DMSO all the time when i did research. funny stuff, if it came into contact with your skin, you could taste it
  14. interesting project. good intro, you'll do well here. welcome
  15. wife's beater '99 sentra--- 10w40 every 3k miles--only holds 3.5qts which gets dirty fast '05 exploder---20w50 semisynthetic every 4k miles '87 stang--10w40 twice a year--car gets driven less than 1k miles/yr '05 GTO--5w30 mobil 1 synthetic every 6 months or 3k miles, whichever comes first '04 cobra--5w30 mobil 1 synthetic every 6 months-- 1,500 miles roughly
  16. you made the thread, deal with the consequences/comments. horrible idea to dump that much money into that car, but its your money. you should buy a vette, GTO, or an '04 cobra. none of these cars will make a good or even acceptable winter car. not even worth the effort of reasoning here, sorry
  17. nice find. body looks great. cage and wheels makes the roller an absolute steal for that price.
