You people who are going to go and wait in line at 6pm or something are insane. Just go at like 12:15, wait in your car for the line to die down then walk in and pick it up.

There's not actually a rule against that. It just didn't happen because the people lobbying against a rematch did a better job than the people lobbying for it. The thing that keeps a Big 10 vs. Big 10 matchup happening outside of the national title game is that, at least this year, the Rose Bowl has to take a qualifying non-AQ team if a Big 10 or Pac 10 team gets pulled into the title game. So say Wisconsin or Michigan State go to the Rose Bowl and Oregon is in the national title game and Ohio State gets an at-large berth. Wiscy/MSU will play TCU, Utah or Boise (whoever ends up requiring a spot) this year. Ohio State would end up in the Fiesta or Sugar.

Think I have to agree with this. The fonts look terrible on my HDTV. Everything looks pretty much the same for the most part, just plainer. Just glad it left the background pic I'm using from my PC. And holy shit just joined an Xbox Live party to try and see what the audio is like (people during the beta said it was better, people who downloaded this morning said worse) and it's AWFUL. Lots of fail so far.

Yeah, I didn't get the V8 to do any kind of insane OC'ing. When I bought my stuff it was pretty cheap (I remember spending more than I paid for it for heatsinks for my AMD XP 1600+ back in like 2001...lol) and had nice reviews. I took my D0 stepping i7-920 up to around 3.8Ghz for a couple weeks just for kicks but brought it back down because I just didn't feel the need to have it up there.

It's just as easy to cut yourself on a $200 Lian Li case as it is some $30 bargain case. Proof... http://i51.tinypic.com/2safsjm.jpg My blood on my Cooler Master V8. Nobody makes me bleed my own blood!

We didn't play Toledo this year (Boise did though lol) but I get your point. But that's our OOC schedule. The difference between Boise and Ohio State, Alabama, Wisconsin, Oregon, etc. is that these teams in big boy conferences have to face talent much closer to their own on a weekly basis. Boise St. gets to play 1-2 "big" games OOC then their conference is equivalent to the teams that BCS teams get criticized for scheduling in their OOC...lol. The Big 10 has a couple doormats at most every year and they still have a couple future NFL players on them. The WAC has 1-2 good teams then a bunch of doormats every year with a bunch of teams with no one who will be pursuing a career in football after college. BCS schools, for the most part, schedule about 3 games a year against just plain bad teams then maybe pick up a game or 2 in conference that should be absolute gimmes. Boise St. schedules 1-2 games a year against decent teams then pick up about 7-8 gimmes in conference.

lol... I put some sweet blue light windshield wiper fluid things on my Corolla when I was in HS and they just turned freely and it was during the 2004 election and there were Bush people on one corner of 256 and Refugee Rd. (big intersection) in Pickerington and Kerry on the other. I went into a McDonald's parking lot right there, aimed my sprayers to the side then went back out to the Bush corner and sprayed them. Good times. Also, a couple years ago I caused these 2 teenage girls in a white Sebring convertible to drive off the road because they were about to fly up on me. I was going about 30 in a 25 and I saw them blow through a stop sign behind me so I slow to 25 and they come up on me going at least 45 and just go to pass me in a double-yellow without even looking, car coming right at them, they swerve off the road. I lol'd.

Probably a lot. We've got Netflix (I know you guys do too), last.fm for music (not sure if you guys have this) and ESPN3 is coming and I know PS3 won't have that.

In the original Night of the Living Dead one of the zombies plucks a field mouse off this tree and eats it. You're screwed. I'd say the closest thing within reach to my left is a drink coaster or a comb. Not good.

Not ranked on Scout.

Iowa's OL is no where near good enough to do to us what Wisconsin did. That game is absolutely still winnable. Boise St. can match with the elite in the country on a one game basis but to even be considered for the national title they need to either join a BCS conference where they will play equal talent on a weekly basis or we need to go to a playoff. And to the guy saying we need to consider a coaching change... really? Really? Should Bama be looking for a new coach because they lost to South Carolina? Should Florida be looking for a new coach because they're on a 3 game losing streak? Should Texas be looking for a new coach because they're having a down season? These are the elite programs in the country, along with us, and none of them are perfect. Who would you want to hire? All of those guys I listed apparently can't get the job you expect done either so who do you want?
-
Not a whole lot. Stars mean nothing. Nick Mangold was unranked on Scout or Rivals (forget which) coming out of high school, was a 1st round pick and many say is the best center in the NFL. What does that say about Bollman?

I guess what I meant was I've never seen them dominated with the power run game. Illinois gave us trouble with the read option (where our guys were too worried about the edges after some big plays then let Juice keep up the middle in the 4th for like a 9 minute drive). No one has ever been able to just line up against our defense and ram it down our throats with a traditional, straight ahead running game. That was awful and completely unexpected even knowing Wisconsin's OL was elite.
-
I wouldn't put it on the OL. They gave Pryor years on a lot of his dropbacks and we ran it down Wisconsin's throats for our 2 TD drives. We should have mixed some runs in on that first drive. Of course, I guess that's hard when Pryor pitches an option about a half a foot above Herron's head and he has to knock it out of bounds for a 13 yard loss which puts you in 2nd and 23. Watt played amazingly and beasted a TE for one of his sacks then Shugarts and Adams both had a whiff a piece but other than that the OL wasn't nearly as bad as, and I never thought I'd be saying this, the DL. Our DL is built for speed, spread teams now and Wisconsin, who happens to have the best OL in the country, moved them wherever they wanted to last night. I've never seen a Tressel team get dominated in the run game like they were last night. Hart did some nice things against OSU in 2006, Perry in 2003 but not like last night. Against power teams I'd really like to see Cam Heyward, Dexter Larimore, John Hankins and John Simon from right to left on that DL. Simon is too small to play inside against teams like Wisconsin and Iowa. Larimore is around 300, Hankins is 330... those are the guys we need in the middle. Not 265-270lb. Simon. And the overrated chant is awesome... they might as well go out there and chant... "WE JUST BEAT YOU BUT YOU WEREN'T THAT GOOD ANYWAYS SO IT'S NOT AS BIG OF A DEAL AS WE'RE MAKING IT OUT TO BE WAIT WHY ARE WE CHANTING THIS?!" I love it.
-
That's the thing though, you mentioned the EMU passing and it was because our safeties were biting on play action. I suspect Wisconsin will aim to take advantage of that further then I just hope our guys will get their asses in gear and play with discipline.
-
2 of Wisconsin's best defensive players are out. A LB and a DE. Pryor will have time and if he's on he'll be able to abuse their bad secondary. Our defense will probably get hit early with some long completions to their TE, Kendricks. Then hopefully we button it up and cruise.

Done with AT&T DSL, it sucks, Who has the best service for home Internet?
bicranium replied to SpaceGhost's topic in Dumpster
That's been my issue with Roadrunner for the last 6 months or so now. They oversold my area's node so I can't do hardly anything outside of regular browsing (and even that's noticeably slower) after about 5PM until about 1AM. Finally bugged them enough about it that they should be splitting my node within the next 2 weeks and my internet has been free for the past month and will continue to be free until it's fixed. I was very tempted to make fliers letting everyone else in my neighborhood know I was getting my internet for free and they should too since we're all affected (if they have RR) but I'm too lazy and was also surprised they decided to credit me for whole months. -
Wow... I was seriously thinking about getting a PS3 for this. It's never coming out.

Yeah, if you're expecting 5 megabytes per second you're going to need a 40 megabit per second connection brotato. -
No way OSU goes undefeated and doesn't make the title game. Our schedule is backloaded. The thing that is killing our SOS right now, and ultimately our computer rankings, is Eastern Michigan. They're down in the 200 range in the computer rankings. The rest of the teams on our schedule average around the top 50 in the country. We already moved from 12th in the computer average last week to 10th this week and that's after playing Indiana. We'll probably be in the 5-7 range in the computers with a win in Madison this weekend which still might have us sitting somewhere around 3rd in the initial BCS rankings but after we play Iowa, Michigan, Penn St., etc. we'll be top 5 in all the computers and top 2 in the BCS, playing for a national title.
-
The computers really, really, really don't like us right now. They have us at an average rank of 10th. One of the computers has 1-loss Wisconsin ahead of us. Hopefully after we beat them next weekend everything will fix itself before the first real BCS rankings come out.

Halo Reach for 360 - $40 obo - Basically brand new

Halo Reach for 360? Damn... I was looking for the PS3 version. -
Did this back in July. Walked in with a 3 1/2-year-old 47" 60hz LCD (only 1 HDMI input, didn't even have a tuner so you could get OTA signals), walked out with a 50" Panasonic plasma with another 2 year protection plan for just a couple hundred bucks...lol.

Like I said, if you haven't been able to notice the changes since the beginning of last season to this point then you just don't know football and I can't really help you. If you're truly interested in trying to understand what OSU does (and has been doing) on offense for the past year or so check out this site: http://www.alongtheolentangy.com/ Read anything by Ross Fulton. Here is a quarter season offense review he did: http://www.alongtheolentangy.com/2010/9/29/1717576/ohio-state-quarter-season-offensive-review
