  1. A large will fit her. How much? And of course her first question, what color is it?
  2. Since I've been wearing mine my wife has gotten interested in trying one out. Anyone have a fitbit they aren't using any more and want to unload? I can get a refurbished flex for $60. Just thought if I could pick up a better deal on a used one I would see what people had.
  3. Woot has reconditioned cable modems up for sale today. Surfboard, DOCSIS 3, etc... http://www.woot.com/plus/motorola-surfboard-cable-modems-8
  4. We cut the cord over the summer. Sports so far have been the biggest problem, but a lot of times we can get the games on regular TV. I was already paying for Netflix and Amazon Prime, so it's a pretty big savings.
  5. Not sure if Trish is still looking for some help, but ... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123131
  6. I'm sure someone can loan you a live trap. Or you can probably pick one up cheap at Harbor Freight or Tractor Supply.
  7. Skips Service Center specializes in motorhomes. Address: 2162 McKinley Ave, Columbus, OH 43204 Phone: (614) 274-3364 Skip is a good guy, tell him Rick Doerr sent you over.
  8. Holy shit, the perfect storm. I'm becoming more happy all the time with my opportunity to move to a rear engine car. Not that it doesn't have it's own issues, but at least the fire is behind me, not blowing back into my face.
  9. I picked up a box called a Tablo from Amazon. It's a DVR that you connect a digital antenna to, plug in a USB hard drive and record regular TV. I can play live TV or recordings on my TVs through ROKU boxes, or on PC, Laptop, tablet, phone, etc... The tech is still a bit young, but the system works generally well. My only cost is for guide service. I opted for $50/year, but you can also choose $5/month or $150/lifetime.
  10. Any thought of trying Angies List? So far contractors I have cold contacted through Angies List have all been great. I contact them through the website even so they know up front I'm a customer and will be writing a review of their service. Several have even given a discount for being on Angies List.
  11. I think Mojoe might have been looking for something like this.
  12. I picked up a 55" vizio from a Woot sale over the summer. I'm overall happy with it. Noticed a 55" name brand (don't remember) at Sam's Club just now for around $500. I also second the ROKU. I bought a couple for the house to work with the Tablo DVR I installed over the summer. I love the Roku 3. Having a headphone jack on the remote so I can watch TV in the bedroom and my wife can sleep is the best idea I've seen in a long time.
  13. If you're going the donation route, you might also consider a career tech school. Auto tech and auto body kids can practice on it. Once our shop kids have done as much practice as they can the cars normally go to our firefighting program for practice. You can guess what happens there.
  14. Looks like there was a problem with the harness too.
  15. I have U-Verse (only option I have) and it's been okay. I don't have TV with them, only internet though. Their router is okay, but is in my basement as well. I run a second router as a switch and access point only and that has worked well for me.
  16. Fuck it, I'd probably do the same thing.
  17. Great, I've been looking for one! Emailing you now.
  18. That's great! I've been a teacher now for longer than all the other jobs I had combined. Good luck and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
  19. Yeah ... what Joe said. I got my original in Franklin county. It was expired by a few months and Madison county didn't bat an eyelash about renewing it. I did not have a good experience with Franklin. Madison was easy to deal with.
  20. Alright, I finally did it. I had been a customer with DirecTV for 15 years (I didn't realize it was that long). I just called and cancelled my service. The solution I went with for Over The Airwaves DVR is the Tablo. That box with a cheapo digital Amazon brand antenna, and a 2TB Western Digital hard drive is now my TV system. The signal is distributed through the house via network, so I can watch TV on my PCs, tablets, phones, etc... The TVs in the house both have ROKU 3 boxes that have a Tablo channel for recorded or live TV. My capabilities now are to play recorded or live TV on just about every device in my house other than the toaster oven. The PCs and the TVs have Netflix, Amazon and shortly will have HULU Plus. My costs so far are not insignificant, but the system will pay for itself within the next 6 months. My only recurring cost other than the streaming services is a TV guide service through the Tablo. $5 per month seemed a little steep. I chose the $50/year package. Overall I am happy with the system. There does seem to be a hiccup between the Tablo and the ROKU boxes for live TV. Sometimes the video buffers then plays, but then continually stops to buffer. It does not always do this, but TV is unwatchable while this is happening. Hopefully once I move everything to cables and off the WIFI that will help and/or a software update will resolve the problem. It does not happen on devices other than the ROKU, and only for live TV. Recorded TV has not shown the same issues.

  23. I can't be the only guy on here that watched the original show as a kid. http://www.businessinsider.com/muppets-abc-show-tv-trailer-2015-5
  24. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=935&pictureid=8114 This is our newest dog Lucy, she's been out to Cars and Coffee a few times. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=935&pictureid=8115 This is Jeep, he's the old man. This picture was in my classroom at school. In the summer he goes with me sometime and naps while I work.
  25. We adopted our younger dog from Madison county. She is a product of the prison program. Some animals are paired up with a prisoner at the correctional facility for training and socialization. We liked dealing with Madison County, but they were a little weird about taking a check from me since we live in Frankling County. You might have more luck using Pet Finder. They host postings for animals at all kinds of rescues all over the place. Both of our dogs we found on pet finder, then contacted the shelter they were at. You can sort by breeds, sizes, gender, location, even tolerance for other animals or kids. https://www.petfinder.com/
