  1. Don't you still have my motorcycle jack? Use that.
  2. Anybody heading there today. I'm thinking about going.
  3. I think it's the Ohio Taproom in Grandview. The don't sell pints, only samples. You are limited to 4 samples, but the bartenders can't count so well.
  4. I was told if you took the herbicide and brushed it on the leaves it would kill the plant. Might work on the vines growing up the trees, since it never comes in contact with the tree it probably would not hurt. Make sure you mix the roundup or whatever you are using correctly. A stronger solution is not always better.
  5. I'm pretty sure Safelite will credit the cost paid for the repair toward the replacement. Be careful about where you get it done, not all aftermarket glass is made the same. I've heard of some of the cheaper aftermarket windshields having visible waves or other flaws that the average person might not notice, but would drive a car guy nuts. I've not dealt with them, but I've heard nothing but good stuff about "First Glass".
  6. As a former juror, when confronted with two sides of the same story, I will take the side I believe has more credibility. The witness to the crime is not a drunken hobo with no credibility. The witness to the crime is a law enforcement officer. Even without knowing either of them I am going to lean toward the side of the public servant. Knowing that the other side of the story is a leach on society, give me one reason to not believe the LEO. Nobody seems surprised at this story. It's just the next evolution in bad decision making from someone who has an excellent record of bad decisions.
  7. Bump so he can find the thread to make his second post.
  8. How big is the sink? I might be able to chop it up and cut some flanges I have for a project in mind.
  9. I'll buy that they want to see them (I've seen jokers race in pajama pants), so I brought my gear bag down for tech. He took a quick look to see they were SFI. I think having to wear them for tech sounds crazy.
  10. That's basically my plan, I'm just adding an Over the Airwaves DVR to the package. Will cost a bit more, but I maintain the convenience of a DVR and the savings will eventually pay off the equipment purchase.
  11. Price is right in my range, but need V8 for towing. The speedo is probably an easy fix, the stepper motors go wacky. I've done several here at school for the auto tech program. They pull the cluster and bring me the board. I desolder the motor from the board and solder a new one on. We bought the motors on Amazon for a few bucks apiece. We're in Plain City, PM me if you want to talk with the auto tech teacher about fixing it.
  12. I thought the guy doing Tech at our track day was pretty cool. He seemed to do a reasonably thorough check of my car without touching anything except my helmet to look inside and make sure it had the correct rating.
  13. Looks like 23 total, but I really only give a crap about 7 of them. Several are home shopping and several more are religious. The regular channels are all I have queued up and have not had any problems with quality or fading. I am early in my experience though. Once I have the ROKU boxes hooked up I'll probably start using it more and will have more details about quality and experience. So far everything has looked pretty good.
  14. Damn I'm struggling with this. That would make a great tow vehicle. My wife wants to keep her truck instead of trading it in. I've resigned myself to selling my 94 Impala SS to fund a truck purchase. I'm just not quite ready to pull the trigger. Good luck.
  15. I pulled the trigger on this TABLO setup. Seems to be pretty feature rich and a little outside the box. The unit is up and running with an external 2TB drive for storage. I used a medium grade Amazon brand antenna I picked up for cheap. The unit does not connect directly to a TV, but into your house network. I ordered a couple ROKU boxes from WOOT yesterday to connect the DVR to the TVs in the house. That will also give me access to Netflix and HULU with a simple interface on a single device. I can also watch recorded shows on a PC, tablet, smart phone, etc... I can schedule recordings from any device as well. If I reconfigure my router, I'll be able to stream my recorded shows outside my network and watch TV remotely over the internet on any mobile device. So far so good. It was a little pricey to get set up, but I'm hoping the ease of use will pay off in the end. I should recoup my entire investment in tech within 5 months. It was more than I planned, but I didn't skimp like I could have. I did buy the 4 channel DVR and the 2TB hard drive.
  16. http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/CR-Spring-Track-Day-2015/i-PRSKfVG/0/M/_MG_2212-M.jpg Thanks for the pic! I was hoping somebody got some, Dave and I were a little busy with the car
  17. No apologies necessary, hopefully we'll see you at the next event. We all appreciate the work that goes into these. As long as CR is putting on these events I will be at least buying a spot and hopefully participating.
  18. Since I never finished my licensing passes I promised them I would only run 1/8 mile. My second pass was the best of the three, but I still have some carb tuning to do so the 60 ft. will come down at least 2/10s. Car ran a 5.58 in the 1/8th at 128, then coasted to a 9.51 in the quarter at 102.
  19. I've seen them and thought about using them ... I've always been worried something would happen and it would drain when I wasn't changing the oil.
  20. He's a good guy. Don't believe him though about brewing a little beer. He brews way more than that!
  21. Haul it up to Mojoe's place and contribute to the new firing range backstop?
  22. +1 Beautiful drive down, nice camping, and the rafting is great. I like all the rivers down there for different reasons.
