  1. I'm a big fan of Magnaflow. The catback on my Camaro is great in my opinion. Stainless, lifetime warranty. There look to be 2 for your truck. One is a passenger side exit, the other is dual rear exit. Best price I can find with a quick search. 715.85 with free shipping. http://www.amazon.com/MagnaFlow-15562-Stainless-Performance-Exhaust/dp/B004JBF3SU That's a little more than you were planning budget wise, but since it's amazon there is no tax or shipping. Scrap out or sell the original exhaust and recoup some of your money.
  2. Over the winter break I decided to give Americas Army another try. I didn't have broadband access before, so gave up on the game. The newest version is still in Beta, but I really liked the game play. The servers were not very crowded and not many people playing but every time I logged in I was able to find at least a few servers with a solid game going. Being that it's free it is well worth the price. I recommend anyone who is interested in PC games give it a try. BTW, I did all the basic training for Americas Army 3 only to find out there are no servers running for it any more. You need to just jump into Proving Ground.
  3. Joe and Howard even mentioned this in the class last weekend. http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/apexchange/2014/12/30/us-wal-mart-shooting-idaho.html HAYDEN, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in northern Idaho say a 2-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his mother after he reached into her purse at a Wal-Mart store and the concealed gun fired. Kootenai County sheriff's spokesman Stu Miller tells reporters that the shooting was accidental and occurred in the store in Hayden, Idaho, a town about 40 miles northeast of Spokane, Washington. Miller says the woman had a concealed weapons permit. Her identity has not been released. The Wal-Mart closed after the shooting. Hayden is a politically conservative town of about 9,000 people just north of Coeur d'Alene in Idaho's northern panhandle.
  4. We appreciate the effort Joe and Howard. It was a great time. Much better than my original CCW class and a good refresher.
  5. Everything is packed up and ready for tomorrow, looking forward to it.
  6. I'm curious what opinions are on this. I used to do some carpentry, my father was a carpentry teacher. I have not done much in the past 15 years and did not learn nearly enough from my father before he passed. I want to start building cabinets. I need a shit ton of them in custom sizes for my trailer, office, etc... Eventually I would like to remodel the kitchen and do all the cabinets myself. Since I have my fathers shop to work in I'm guessing I can learn to make them myself. I'll get exactly the sizes I want without having to custom order them and pay through the nose. I'm the type if I'm going to spend the money I would rather buy the tools and do it myself (if I think I can). I started with a quick youtube search for cabinet making videos to pick up some pointers on the specifics of cabinet making. I came across a series of videos from Sommerfeld's with a lot of great information. They also sell a wide range of tools to build cabinets they way he teaches in the videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT-n4ng0PJZUCEv2RWaEpMA I like the idea of doing all the fitting with tongue and groove joints, I even like their router table set up. I really already have most everything I need, and could probably build cabinets with what I have (table saw, radial arm saw, etc...) But I am drawn to his methods. I am seriously debating on building a router table like he uses with his parts for my projects. Really I'm just curious what peoples opinions are of his style. I know tongue and groove has been around a long time and he makes a big deal about it like it is something new. Other than that does anyone have any opinions? tl;dr Am I nuts to buy this guys tools and build cabinets this way?
  7. I was on sprint before republic and never understood the problems people complain about the sprint network. I still don't understand. The Republic phones default to wifi and voip whenever possible, so the places I spend most of my time I get GREAT reception because it's wifi.
  8. I've done a couple iPad screens (I don't remember which generation). We used a set of tools called an iOpener that we picked up online. They had a full video and instructions. First was microwaving a long bean bag and laying it on the edge of the iPad to loosen the glue, then we worked guitar picks around the edge to lift the screen. We had to worry about cutting the WIFI antenna and the digitizer cable. Once it was loose it came off okay. On ours the screen itself was not broken, just the digitizer (glass touch panel over the screen). It was a bit of a pain in the butt, but it wasn't aweful. This looks similar to the kit we used, but updated and newer. https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/iOpener/IF145-198
  9. I switched my wife and I from Sprint 4 or 5 months back. I really have no complaints for the price. The phones are not the top of the line, but the MotoX does everything I need it to do. No contract, $25/phone per month is a HUGE savings over what we had with sprint. 3G when using data, but for the most part we're using WIFI anyhow. The one beef I had with it was before we switched. My sister and brother in law switched about a year back. They had the cheap phones and any time I talked with them I heard an echo of myself. It was REALLY distracting and annoying. Later Republic rolled out an update and the problem went away. I don't know if they were using a cheap codec and replaced it, but either way I don't know the problem. If you want, message me and I'll give you my number. You can call me and see what the quality is. If you really are thinking about it, I'll send you a referral. Gets you a $20 credit, and gets me a $20 credit. Best decision I've made when it comes to cell for us.
  10. Hey folks, I have an opportunity for someone who knows Java Web Programming and Microsoft SQL databases. A friend had a programmer up and disappear on him in the middle of a project and he needs someone who can step in and finish it. That is as much as I know, if you want more information contact Jeff Hault at: haultj@nerds-on-wheels.com (614) 340-9814 http://www.nerds-on-wheels.com
  11. If the December seats are open Carol and I will take them.
  12. On the calendar. Hopefully will be there.
  13. Good intro, nice rides. Welcome.
  14. The models look awesome. I still have my Space Hulk game and the expansion pack but I haven't played in well over 15 years. One thought I had is sometimes cameras have difficulty focusing very close. There might be a cell phone attachment that would allow the camera to focus from a closer range. I'm sure the photography folks here will chime in shortly.
  15. Hey man, we're just glad you're okay and the car is fixable. I guess Brian could have grabbed a shovel and had a mini funeral for the Go Pro. Did you figure out what failed on the trans cooler? You could see a huge cloud of shit right before the dance started. Which took more damage, the car, or your suit?
  16. Yeah, I've listened to them on and off for years. This makes me sad.
  17. I see jobs in education open periodically, thought this one might interest someone here. Probably won't be a top salary, but benefits should be decent. TRECA, a State of Ohio Information Technology Center, is looking for full-time Applications Developers. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful management of TRECA's applications and associated infrastructure pertaining to custom-developed and vendor-based applications. Qualifications include a Minimum Bachelor's Level Education in Information Technology or a related field and knowledge of and experience with enterprise applications (Linux/Unix required; Java, PHP, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Oracle, and/or MySQL desired; Microsoft NAV a plus); certification or training preferred. This position reports onsite to the TRECA main office in Marion, Ohio.
  18. I replaced several doors a few years ago and put new locks in all of them. Mine have the ability to be re-keyed simply. If I ever need to add a lock or replace a lock I can re-key a new lock to the current key myself. Also, if I want to give a neighbor a key to keep an eye on my house while I'm on vacation I can re-key one door, give them that key, then re-key it back when I get home. I think they are the Kwikset Smartkey system.
  19. I didn't start getting them until 3 years ago. Since I work in a germ factory (high school), and I am around biological warfare engineers (high school students) I would get the flu about every other year. It would normally be a couple days of sitting on the toilet with a trashcan in my lap because I didn't know what direction it was going to come from, if not both at the same time. Always took me a day to recoup once it had subsided. Always happened over a holiday weekend or some such crap. This is my third year getting the shot and I have not gotten the flu since I started getting the shot. The first time I felt like crap for the first 12-24 hours, but it was minor and went away quickly. Since it it normally different strains they are prepping you still have a minor amount of prevention against last years strains as well.
  20. If the price is right I'd be interested in storing my car and trailer somewhere. I had a cherry set up last winter, but they guy sold his house and the barn I was renting.
  21. If this deal falls through for any reason I'm interested, especially in the 1/2" impact and the circular saw.
  22. Have you checked Performance Powdercoating? They are on the far east side and do good work. The powder coat would most likely hold up better than traditional paint.
