  1. I'll be out, but I'll only be there for maybe 30 minutes.
  2. Any advantage to opening the cutout partially to increase flow, but no drop back pressure too far? You might be able to run it on a dyno and figure out a good compromise between flow and back pressure.
  3. I'm game, I can even use the experience for class credit for my grad school class this semester. But I have to check the date it has to be done. Basically I have to do something outside my comfort zone, something that would be more stressful than my normal day to day environment.
  4. Sorry for your loss. When my father passed away I just turned the whole thing over to my attorney. It cost a bit, but that made it one less thing to deal with. Since you're talking Missouri, if it was me, I'd find a local attorney who knows the courts and procedures (and the judges) to handle it.
  5. Since I picked up GT5 at Christmas that is the only game I have played Home improvement project - Converting an old bedroom into an office, paint is basically done, putting down a Bamboo floor next, not working very hard on this one Grad school, but that is year round for the next 18 months or so
  6. Your first batch will not be any cheaper than buying when you figure the equipment to get up and running. But a kit batch will be roughly 2 cases (48 or 50 bottles). At $10 a six pack that's $80 worth. Since the kit will run you roughly $30 in the long run you will save money. But more importantly, if you do it right you will enjoy the beer you drink more because you made it yourself. Not months and months. All the beers that my brother in law and I have done have been 2 weeks in the fermenter and 2 weeks in the bottle. Then start drinking it. For that matter most people crack a couple open after 3 weeks total and see how it is progressing. With keg brewing we might be able to skip the bottle conditioning and tap the kegs shortly after pressurizing them with C02. That being said, we are going to do a Russian Imperial Stout next month and keg it so it will be ready for Christmas. 9 to 12 months before it's ready. But we've already done a Brown Ale, Oatmeal Stout, and a Porter. There is a Cream Stout in the fermenter for 1 more week before it goes into the keg. Then we have a Honey Porter to brew for kegging. The Cornelius kegs we got online from Midwest Brewers Supply (?) for $30 per keg.
  7. My brother in law is getting into brewing also. He is bottle brewing, but I'm buying some kits too and he is brewing them for me. I bought some cornelius kegs and we're going to keep it on draft instead of bottling. If you want I'll give you a heads up the next time we brew. It's pretty interesting to watch the process. The biggest issue is keeping everything clean so you don't get any foreign bacteria in the mix.
  8. McLeod twin disk clutch RPM Level 5 T56 Moser 9 inch While the rear end is out we'll swap out the stock springs and shocks too
  9. Photoshop can be a bitch to use if you're not used to it. Over all the layout looks decent. I was showing a friend some of the video's that IPS has posted on Youtube the other day. He would have gotten a kick out of seeing build pics going back to the beginning of your project.
  10. Sweet, that is exactly what I was looking for. I never got that sheet with my setup.
  11. Does anyone have a good write up on the procedure to assemble a Moser 9"? The package I got from Gearhead Rob did not have any instructions with it and I don't want us to screw this up by guessing at it. I've found bits an pieces on the internet in various forums, but not enough to be comfortable that I'm sure it's right.
  12. 2 miles sounds fine to me. I'll bet most of us don't hit our target speed anyhow and barring brake failure 1 mile would be more than enough room to slow down. Is there a set of safety rules published we should be thinking about? Cage, roll bar, etc... ? I might step up my plans for safety equipment if I'm going to be running a mile instead of a quarter mile.
  13. Not as ugly as an F-body, not even as ugly as me.
  14. I left off with this on last night. I'm going to have to get pretty creative to get past this one.
  15. The Opti is not awful to replace, but it takes a bunch of work to get to it since the water pump has to come off. Also the crank pulley needs to come off and is pressed on the crank adapter. In 94 they used a non-vented Optispark, so if you pick one up somewhere make sure it is for 94 or earlier. As for tuning probably the best option is PCMforless. You can either send them the PCM, or buy the ALDL cable http://www.akmcables.com/ and upload the tuning file yourself. The 94 will use an OBD1 connector.
  16. I love my Arsenal AK. I can't even remember how long I've had it and never once has it misfired. But that being said I don't think it is even remotely in the same class as a decent AR (maybe a bottom of the line shitty one). The accuracy is decent, no scope mounts, but it is a blast to shoot. And hell, I bought it new for $300.
  17. Nobody will confess to voting no? I can understand not wanting to pay for it, but I have to assume everyone on this site has at least wondered what would happen if they ran their car/bike for one mile flat out. To me it would be worth it to run flat out and not worry about a cop, or another car turning in front of me.
  18. I'm on 21 now. Some of my solutions have been pretty ugly, but gotten the job done.
  19. Never mind, figured it out.
  20. Okay, I've been stuck on level 17 for the last hour.
  21. What, did you blow up your truck motor already?
  22. Why would anyone put hypereutectic pistons in a car with a forged crank? Almost sounds to me like someone didn't plan a build very well. If he skimped on the pistons then what else did he skimp on that you don't know about? Also, not knowing what cam is in it would worry me too. Unless you're planning on swapping it out for a known one.
  23. I'm getting ready to do my home office. I was going to do hard wood, then decided to save some money and do laminate. The final plan (unless it changes again) is to do bamboo. I'm not going to use the interlocking pieces, I'll go ahead and use a stapler and make mine permanent. That place "Floor and Decor Outlet" or whatever it is called run classes on Saturdays for all their different products. I thought about sitting in on one of them before I do mine. Right now I'm finishing up all the painting so the room will be ready for the floor.
  24. I've been kicking around the idea of hauling the Camaro to Maxton and see what this is all about. I have no idea what the car would run. I get a kick out of running the quarter mile, running a full mile would be a bigger rush. If I lived relatively local to an event like this I might build a car specifically for top speed. When you say a one mile drag race, are you talking about multiple cars at one time? Or would this be a time trial format with only one car at a time on the course? I doubt I would be comfortable with multiple cars at a time running. $300 for the weekend seems high but I would do it at least once. If it were to be 4 or 5 weekends throughout the year I would probably pay a flat fee for a season.
