I would guess something like book value plus 5 or 10% of what you spent on mods. I figure I'll have 15 - 20 in my car and it's still just a 95 Z28.

I built a few as a kid and enjoyed it. I recently was looking for Impala SS stuff online and bought a model of the car to build. I'm looking forward to putting it together.

Even with my plans for my Camaro to be a street/strip car I plan on keeping it a 6 speed. In fact I am the proud owner of an RPM level 5 T56 which will be going into the car this winter. Could have changed to auto, but standard is more fun.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing myself. I've gotten as far as grabbing a spare tail light I can drill through for the external switch. Keep us updated on what you find for a battery box.

Hoping I'll make this one. I'll bring those plug boots if I do.

Count me in for the second class if we get this set up for a weekend.

Holy shit that is funny. I love people who don't take themselves serious.

Is it even remotely possible to put an LT1 intake on an LS1 block? I love how it makes less HP at the crank than at the rear wheels. Granted he is a GM tech, so this must all be true. Cash price is 25 grand.

Good information all around. I'll leave that one alone. Glad I asked.
-
Yeah, none of the parts I have bought have been OEM. All of them have been aftermarket.

This is part of my thought process. I don't mind throwing $100 or less at something, if it's bad I can eat the cost. Thanks for the info Ant. I did build the motor with 42 lb injectors in anticipation of doing something either boost or nitrous. I've never been planning anything crazy, so I figured they would be big enough. I never thought of a blower having an internal belt, good information to watch out for. I assumed they would all be gear driven internally. Sounds like I'll pass on this one without even looking. I thought it was worth asking though since I assume a new system will cost at least double if not closer to triple.

Hey guys. I'm a newb when it comes to boost. I've read a lot on the subject and eventually I want to run a blower on my car. I spotted a craigslist ad with an LT1 blower setup for what sounds to be a reasonable price. http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/1985413942.html What should I look for when/if I'm buying something like this used? I hear people talking about shaft play on the impellers with turbos, does this apply to blowers also?

I've ordered from Rock Auto too, prices are good, I've never had a complaint.

And I thought Ohio sucked.

Changes are coming to Louisville strip clubs after recent Supreme Court ruling by Melanie Kahn WHAS11.com Posted on October 2, 2010 at 5:39 AM (WHAS11) Changes are coming to Louisville strip clubs. The adult entertainment ordinance was passed six years ago, but now after a recent Supreme Court ruling, city officials said they will begin enforcing this ordinance within the next month. All of the strip clubs will become bikini bars because according to the ordinance, full nudity is not allowed. But that’s not all... and some say, it’s not fair. They may all still look the same on the outside, but in 30 days, inside, the view will be much different, after the controversial adult entertainment ordinance goes into effect. Madonna Flood, Ordinance Sponsor said, “I think it’s a win for the community, because now they can’t be operating in residential areas and they can’t have the type of behavior that actually brings in some of the secondary effects that the residents face.” Councilwoman, Madonna Flood, was one of the original sponsors of the 2004 ordinance which prohibits full nudity, lap dances and alcohol, prevents customers from directly tipping dancers, forces the strip clubs and dancers to pay for licenses and creates a six foot buffer zone between patrons and dancers. Metro council members said they enacted the provision because of concerns over the secondary effects of adult entertainment businesses. “You have property values that depreciate, there’s crime that comes in, such as prostitution and drugs, that happen overnight,” said Flood. Right after the Metro Council passed it, Jefferson County strip clubs filed a lawsuit, challenging its constitutionality. The case made it to the state Supreme Court, which upheld the ordinance; and now, in the 30 days, it will go into effect. “When we pass laws, we mean to enforce them and it’s to protect people in this community. And all businesses, whether it’s adult entertainment or it’s your local department stores, there are zoning laws and those are created to protect the citizens, and that’s what our job is to do,” said Flood. Letters notifying the businesses will be sent out by the Office of Inspections, Permits and Licensing; Shortly after, inspections will begin and those not in compliance will face penalties.

I would have loved to have made it .... spent the morning trenching a new line in for my aerator. Was going great till I trenched through a septic line, then it got real fun. Maybe next weekend.

Oh, and as far as her getting 10 days out when most get 5 days out ... Some times kids don't know when to shut up. They get so emotional there is no rational thought. When she was in the Principal's office after she had a chance to cool off, how did she act? Was she calm, polite, respectful? Or was she rude, obnoxious, offensive and disrespectful? It makes all the difference in the world. I've seen more than one kid turn a minor issue into a major one by their actions after the fact.

Glad to hear the possibility of expulsion has been removed. Glad to hear you have filed a formal complaint. Schools today have a very heavy responsibility to respond to threats of violence in any form, especially racially motivated. She's not going to get a pass on the fighting, especially if she initiated the fight itself. But the other girl should get at least as harsh a punishment for the racial threats. As for making an appointment to see the counselor. Make sure she knows that the next time something happens that she needs to tell them it is an emergency. Most of the time kids want to see the counselor over bullshit, so unless it is an emergency they will make an appointment. I know our student services staff would have gone and gotten the counselor immediately if they knew the situation.

Sounds like a tough loss. The best thing is his quality of life was high right to the end. Sounds similar to my father. Before he died we all had a laugh when we got a letter from his church that they were sorry he was a shut-in. In fact he had stopped going to church because he was traveling all the time. At his funeral people asked about how his quality of life had been and we told them that we all had tickets to Vegas in two weeks. Anyhow, sorry for your loss. Sounds like he had a hell of a life. It's hard to loose someone like that, I know from experience.

LSx Short Blocks - Who would you trust in Ohio?
Richard Cranium replied to Billiumss's topic in Passing Lane
I know you said Ohio, but when you're talking that kind of money is $100 for shipping that bad? I got my LT1 short block from Golen, and I know they have a good reputation with the LT and LS motors. They do warranty their products and I couldn't be happier with mine. -
I like the styling.

Actually you probably want an LLP which is a limited liability partnership since you mentioned partners.
