I don't see why the stock turbo on a seemingly stock car requires a retune. Have you unplugged the battery and reset the pcm? Did you put on an aftermarket turbo or wastegate or mess with the boost? If not I don't see why the answer is a tune.

I had the VATS system removed from my PCM for my L67 3800 swap. The car has had no power to the pcm for weeks at a time, its never lost the tune. I do not run any type of module or resistor.

You can't directly make that comparison. I take it you're driving at an LS3 has 430hp for 50k and the lexus makes the same power for 6 times the money. The two cars aren't even in the same ballpark. Granted I agree it is a ludicrous amount of money for what it is. Isn't the Ferrari F430 around 400hp as well.

Mans on a budget, I too would buy the S but you get even further from the price point. My point was in all realism getting the 18k cleaned up, hardtop shipped and painted you're near $25k. For $4k more you get the correct look and the newer 987 chassis. I guess I would prefer a boxter with the top because I like convertibles and regardless of how effeminate it may be I'd rock it with the top down. I would personally buy a 911 and not bother with a 2.7 or 3.2 or hardtops or whatever.
