Even though the SES light is not on, it may have a stored code for cylinder misfire. Wouldn't hurt to go to your local parts store and have them scan for codes. Especially since it free there.

You can see when he gets out that the steering wheel turns freely so where he had the wheel turned may me a mute point. I would agree though that he is very lucky in the way it turned out. If he had the window rolled up he would have bounced his head through it, plus the air bag deployed with the initial impact which was not enough to jar him forward so won't have any burns from it.

Looks like a marine carb with the vents that way. It's a 4160. If I'm not mistaken Jegs sells a kit to upgrade it to a 4150. I'm not a fan of the black either. I traded a different set for them because they had new rear tires on them. They are in good shape though.
