  1. I have a set of black and a set of silver C5 wagon wheels. I'd be willing to trade either set. They're 18/17.
  2. The belt will most certainly help to keep the child in the seat but it may not help if the child is placed on a chair or other raised surface it may not help. Perhaps an internal b elt Like they have Plus 2 external belts to help secure the seat to a chair would be a good idea.

    My new toy

So today I picked up a 93 notch. It doesn't have a motor or trans but does have a k-member for LS and it has a 9" with 4.10's. It has most interior and a 12 pt cage. I don't see a sticker on it anywhere showing certification but the welds look tigged nicely so I don't think getting cert will be too bad. Now I need to get a few things to make the car road ready. I'm planning a large bore short stroke LS with decently large but not crazy heads. Trans I think I'm going with a turbo 350 with a gear vendor unit I have. Should make for a fun car. It has to be streetable because I think it's more fun that way. I don't have any pics of it yet, but I will have it at home Sunday and after I clean it up a bit I will shoot a few pics and post them to this thread. All in all I say it was a good way to spend $2500.
  6. Driveshafts break everyday there is drag racing. It's going to happen no matter how nad ass your DS is. They're only made of metal and they get a lot of stress. There is no way to prevent them from breaking. You as a car owner and driver have to determine that your parts, no matter what thier function, are al in good safe working order. Does anyone know when thier DS is going to break, I would say no unless its physically apparent that something is wrong with it. Dual safety loops are not meant to satisfy a DS failure more so that they're meant to contain a U-joint failure which is more common and that is why a tunnel is not mandatory for classes below pro stock. My guess is someone after the fact asked why she didn't have a tunnel and that's what started the process of sueing. I can't believe she would have raced a car previously thinking 'hey, why don't I need a safety tunnel for my DS in case it breaks and shredds my arm? " The NHRA is very strong for safety. To the point that some of us at lower levels of racing question why do we need to do (fill in th e blank)? If they made and inforced rules to prevent any and all injuries no matter small or large then there would not be any fun in racing. If they require a safety tunnel of that class as a "reaction" to an event, would a proactive safety measure be to require a tunnel on all vehicles regardless of class, HP, speed or E.T.? So I would be required to install a safety tunnel on my Trans Am that runs 13's? Drag racing is not a high risk sport, it's an extremely high risk sport. Whe she decided to man a ????HP car to run somewhere in the 7,8,9,10,11,12+ second range she decided to accept the risk of personal injury or even death. Thats part of the rush of drag racing.
  7. Thats a great idea. I'm going to soak my slicks in WD40 and then not do a burnout and make millions. After I win I'm going to take all of CR out to dinner. Where do you all want to go?
  8. Fixed Or install new aftermarket cat. I can get you a universal cat for $100 plus tax
  9. A tragic accident and one we all who race hope never to deal with. However; every time we go down the track we risk a lot. It's something we know or should know before we attempt a pass. I hope she is healing and able to move past the accident. Also, I hope she loses her suit. People can't just go around sueing for every bad thing that happens in there life. No one did anything wrong on that horrid day. As bad as that day was, she at least left the track with her life.
  10. Got you covered my friend. What all do you need? I have everything.
  11. When I go to Indy I always eat at Charleston's. I make a point to eat there first when I get there and try my best to stop there on my way out. They have regular food like killer burgers to prime rib. Price is fair I think. Two people eating runs around $50 out the door depending on what you order as far as appitizer, entre, desert and more if you like to drink more the soda. It's located on 82nd st at 37/69. Killer atmosphere and thier potato soup my favorite. All this talk about the place makes me want to drive there and get some grub.
  12. I was going to put a V-9 on a dudes car a few years ago and he gave me the whole shootin match to do it, but then I never heard from again and I'm tired of storing the stuff for free so I am puting it on my own car. He wanted the head unit back shortly after getting me the stuff because he wanted to trade it up for a YSI. That was the last I heard about it.
  13. I already have everything to install a S/C on my car with the exception to the head unit. Looking for something like a V-2,V-3 or a V-9 SQ. Will even consider a rebuildable unit. I also need an aftercooler. I have a 99 Trans Am so I don't think I can get away with too large a cooler with out major fabrication so I perfer a medium sized unit. Let me know what you have. Thank you.
  14. Called and texted you last night. Have cash in hand for the trans and all related plus the pedal assembly.
  15. I realize you posted this a while ago but is it still available?
  16. I wish you would have had this for sale about a month and a half ago. GLWS very well worth $200.
  17. I have a buyer for the trans setup. PM me a number to call the guy.
  18. Father of the year material right there.
  19. What a second Matt I think there has been some confusion. I have perimeter bolts valve covers that do not have the brackets. I only sold you the coils.
  20. You can get classic car and specialty car insurance through various specialty carriers. I don't think it's really even all that costly. If you have a car like that and drive it then it would be a good thing to have because of reasons like this.
  21. Hey bud, I lost your number. I checked the gas tank of the car that I have and sure as hell it is steel. I can get it out this weekend for you but I need to know that your are absolutly sure you want it before I take the time to yank it out.
  22. Sounds like I need to just swap the wheels and see how it goes. Thank you Anthony.
