11:1 is the highest you should go, 11:5 if you retard the timing alot. thats if you use aluminum heads. i'm not sure about cast iron i think its not recomended to go past 10:5

that car is worth 5k just in wheels and brakes. anyone would be a moron not to get it at that price. if i had the cash i would be all over it. you could prolly part the car out and make more than you would have in it.

my old boss has a tube chassis monty thats twin turbo big block and i know for a fact he has less then 50k in it and he runs 7.24 @206. when you build most of your own stuff it cuts cost big time.

i was at the shop today and there was a ford truck that was just at the same ford dealer and one of the spark plugs blew out, DM ford charged the guy $1000 to put in a helicoil. they told him they had to take the head off and fix it but they didn't. i would take it somewhere else and have it checled out.

no it does sound like the rear end let go, i've had to rebulid alot of them because of it, better hope you didn't fuck the carryer and spider gears. if you did it would be cheeper to get one out of a junk yard or call currie and get a new 9 inch or 12 bolt.
