I've heard the same thing, yet my last transfer was right at 90 days or so. Check cashed 10/5, pending 10/14, approved 1/3, at my SOT 1/10. My current transfer was chased on 12/24. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

He's a dumbass, but he's not THAT big of a dumbass.
  4. Honestly, they are hit and miss. Hook up with Blue036363 or Wayne (crazy greek guy on an R1) if you go. They both have coached for STT and you'll get better feedback from them.

I have an eotech that I love. However, take a look at the Vortex red dots and their 1-4x scopes.

Hell another grand and I could've had that 338LM or 300 Hulk I've been thinking about. OR a new trackbike.

Yea, I tried the whole piece at a time thing with my current build that I'm doing with Kawi. Didn't work so well. By day 2 of ordering parts, I had ordered everything and spent roughly $2,000 (not counting optics).
  9. Hurry the fuck up, I want an ETA on my scope

You'll want a stainless, take apart can. Those run 400-500 + $200 transfer tax. I have an SWR Spectre which runs about 495, there is the AAC prodigy ~495, the new silencerco sparrow runs about 400.

Wrong dummy. I'll be at the range down the road from kawi doing work on Saturday. FWIW, the GSG with a suppressor has literally been known to make grown men giggle uncontrollably.

hey dummy, I have a GSG. You can shoot it next weekend with the can on it if you want.
  13. Yea, I've shot a couple groundhogs with mine. I first used one when prairie dog hunting out west. It'll take a coyote if your under 150-200yards.
  14. I have a Savage 93 in 17hmr and love it. However, the have a newer model with a more target style stock and threaded barrel, so I might be willing to make you a deal on mine.
  15. Shit, I'm crying about the cost of my next build and I didn't have all that temptation from SHOT. You did remember your favorite spotter/shooting partner when gathering free vendor swag right?
  16. Negative. Those instructors just don't understand the law or have a misguided interpretation. Or I've managed to slip through the cracks and not have any state reps call me up to put the fear into me. I find that highly unlikely.
  17. Yes. The bore is the same between 5.56 and .223, but they have different chamber specifications, to account for the pressure differences between the 2 rounds. There are 556 chambers, 223 chambers, and Wylde chambers (223 or 556).
  18. It used to be listed as 6 years, to cover your initial license and first renewal. Now its listed as 3 years, and your first renewal is covered by the fact that you have an expired license. After that you require a recert course. 6 years is still the limit for using a DD214 for training. It's not spelled out well in the booklet from the AG, you have to read the ORC for clarification.
  19. I have it zero'ed @100. I just need to get out somewhere and shoot past 100yds. Here's another question for you guys. If the mid-range trajectory is 3"@110yds and max point blank range is 232yds but @200yds im only -.2" does that mean the round drops 2.8" in 32yds? The site im gettin my info from say the round will rise 3 and drop 3 from line of sight in 232yds. Seems like a long drop in such a short distance past 200. Per the site im getting my info from. If you want to see what the bullet is doing, put the data for the round in a ballistic calculator. It'll give you a better idea of what it is doing vs the rise/drop thing you are looking at. Basic physics says its going to travel in an arc, but what you want to concentrate on is what is does after your zero which will most likely be drop.
  20. I'm doing a 20" WOA DRM barrel, billet upper/lower, VTAC TRX tube, SSA-E trigger, Optics TBD, thread adapter for my SAS can for now, AAC brake for a 762SD later on.
  21. Kawi, just screw the predator and build one similar to the specs I'm using. It'll be close to the same price, but far better components.
  22. In addition to Kawi's farm, there is also a 1000+ yard range just outside of Plainfield on 541.
  23. True, but the OP is also talking about a 30/30 here. For his purposes, the parallax issues from 100-200 really aren't going to matter and he's not likely to need magnification for those ranges. I would just zero at 100,confirm your drop at 200 , and call it a day. Holdover will be fine for most stuff with a 30/30. Optiona'lly, you could get a red dot with a 2 Moa dot. Zero it so that your POA/POI is the TOP of the dot (use it as a front sight post/six o'clock hold) at 100. At 200 yards, 2 moa is roughly 4 inches. So with your 3.2" drop, you could use the dot with a 12 o'clock hold (bottom of the dot) and be pretty darn close to POA/POI. For shots in between, center the dot and you should be fairly close.
  24. So the laser batteries last 10+ years? Last I checked night sights had a half life of about 12 years or so. Both have there place, but I wouldn't say either is the end all of low/no light shooting. And let us not forget the ever important flashlight.
  25. I'll give ya fifty just to spite flounder
