I changed my oil and filter, and brake fluid.

I left the house a little after 9 am this morning. The destination was southeast Ohio and route 250. I was on 586, south of Fallsburg when a pair of deer fawns jumped in front of the bike! They jumped out of the right side ditch, which had waist high weeds. I had enough time to grip the bars tighter and grab the front brake. I hit the first one and hardly felt it! I turned around and went back, the fawn was on the left edge of the road, dead. That sucked, I felt really bad. I hate to kill anything. I guess it could have been a lot worse. I could have went down. There was no damage to the bike. I would guess that the deer was 50 or 60 pounds. Well, that’s a new one, never did that before!

Because last time I changed my front tire I did something stupid and screwed up the internal threads on the axle.

I just heard from Tim and Justin. They just made it to their hotel. They dodged some heavy rain today. Tim said that his bike is running like normal.

I installed a new air filter and a new front axle. Going riding tomorrow.

I am a strong maybe.

Tim had some issues with his bike yesterday. They ended up in Cooke city Montana. They drained his gas tank and found some slime on the fuel filter sleeve. They are back on the road, per Becky, tim’s wife. I sent them a text and I am waiting for a answer.

So sick of all of this kind of shit!

Fuck! The wife had surgery on her right knee at the end of December. She had a really bad tear of the meniscus and arthritis. The surgery was done by a younger doctor, Dr. Kyle Randall. It was a scope operation. After her surgery the doctor came to me said it went well, it was the worst meniscus tear that he had seen and that she had arthritis that he scraped out. With some physical therapy she would be good. The physical therapy was really painful and the therapist couldn’t figure out why. So, the pain never went away and she has reduced range of motion. She went back to Dr. Randall a few weeks ago. He gave her a steroid shot in the knee and ordered my therapy. He wouldn’t ok an X-ray! She got our doctor to order an X-ray. The x-ray showed a bone spur growing on the inside of her knee where there is a hole in the bone! What the hell! Ok, not good. She went to another surgeon today, she needs knee replacement! In 7 months we went from a minor surgery to total knee replacement! Fuck, never say it can’t worse!

Wasn’t me. I haven’t riden in week.

315 miles today. I ended up riding down to Hocking Hills and riding the route that @B-Mac posted. Starts with 374 south. Awesome route! I recorded it on my Tom Tom.

I think that I am going to ride over to Barnesville and hit 147. Take that to WV 250 and ride some of it.

I wasn’t going to say anything, but that bike is Fugly! Your 675 was beautiful.
