I saw that Iron Pony had the Oxford Super Sliderz riding jeans on clearance on their website. I rode down Monday and bought a pair. Less than $65. They have a layer of Kevlar inside the denim. They also have pockets for hip and knee armor. They fit just like regular jeans. Figured that I would wear them when it is really hot.

2100 miles in 6 days. Had a great time! Good friends, good roads and alcohol, ready to do it again!

In jellico eating lunch. Left PJ’s at 11:00 with a new rear PR3.

370 miles today. Across the foothills, down the dragon to 28, 28 to Georgia. Rode blood mountain, Wolf pen and 60. We got a little rain in Georgia and some around Robbinsville coming back to Townsend. A good day.

The Roamr and myself are at the Econolodge in Marion, VA for the night. We ended up slabbing to Parkersburg and then took 50 to Ellenboro and rode 16 to here. 470 miles for me, I wasn’t sure that I could still ride that much in a day. Planning on riding the Snake tomorrow, then heading to Townsend.

Bike is ready, bags are packed. Leaving tomorrow morning, Galax, VA is our destination for tomorrow.

Something that we never seem to do here is, have a thread with who is going to the rally. So, I am starting one. I will be arriving in Townsend Wednesday afternoon and leaving on Sunday. I will be rooming with Roamr at the Gateway inn.

Run the BRP many times. I only seen a few cops/ rangers. I have had a couple of them flash their lights at me to slow down. The traffic isn’t usually too bad during the week. We are going to jump on it Wednesday morning around Galax and run it to the end in Cherokee. The lower half is the best part. Lots of short tunnels.

Weekday rides are great. Less traffic.

I dug my cooling vest out. I haven’t used it in years. My helmet doesn’t have enough between the chin bar and my big head to use my camel pack. Lol

I needed to scrub in my new front tire. I rode down to Hocking Hills. I had forgot how curvy 374 is coming off of 33! 250 miles total. The FJR now has over 75,000 miles. Going to give her a bath.
