A friend on a C-14.

Looks like Ron Durst will be down there with another C-14 guy. They left today for 2 weeks.

Planning on taking a trip down to the Gap next week. Probably leave Tuesday and take a couple of days going down. Planning on camping, possibly staying a couple of nights at the Gap store campground.

Broken collar bone, probably not seriously hurt. Bike had minor damage.

Great to see some old friends and meet some new ones. 345 miles for the day. I got wet twice on the way home, still had a blast! We need to do this again, soon!

After 22 years in the same place, my bike is getting a garage! The wife thinks it’s for her car. Bought a pre-built 12x 24 garage. Wood frame and floor with metal roof and siding. It’s being delivered May 2.

Day 2, 16 south out Marion, Va to Volney, 58 west Damascus. That’s 34 miles of nice road. Now on my top 10! 133 from Damascus to Shady Valley, through Backbone rock. 421 south to Boone to Blowing rock on 321. 221 from blowing rock to the BRP. Did 100 miles on the BRP. Took 276 south from the BRP. 276 to 64 to the southern end of 215 north to here Waynesville.

Day one, 430 miles in Marion , VA for the night. Rode WV 16 from ellenboro to Beckley and the back of the dragon. Had a big black bear cross right in front of me, 20 miles north of here.

Leaving Tuesday morning on my annual Fall / Birthday trip. Planning on hitting WV 16, then down to the back of the Dragon. The BRP south to the Robbinsville area. 4 or 5 days total.
