  1. I planned for a 10 hour day for the NEO'ers, so that sounds about right.
  2. These people speak the truth.
  3. Well, at this point...I don't think I'm going to make any changes. It's already getting late and I'll probably start obsessing about this and stay up all night without any sleep. Thanks for the input on the gravel. I'll keep that in mind. I'll ask one question though, is there any part of the route you would definitely take out? Due to me trying to get back at a reasonable hour...I'm sort of limited in my options as far as alternate routes. That, and the fact that 26 is closed. What time did you get back lammie/jrm?
  4. 145 runs into 260. I can take 260 north west and double back the way you guys went south. Sorry I misspoke earlier...I'm catching 145 from 78 on the trip back. My question was, is it worth taking either 145 of 564 like I planned, or just stay on 78W?
  5. ^ Ha! Is any part of 145 and 564 salvageable, or just ditch it and take 78 W all the way back from 800? 78 doesn't sound too appealing either.
  6. Well 26 was in the route UP originally posted, and I removed it because of the closure. I know 800 is a decent road, but if everything else around it is shit...what's the point.
  7. So, basically from what I hear, 145, 564, 255 and 260 are all shit.
  8. Please check this thread through the night and into the morning. There may be a change in the route, due to reports of excessive gravel and more than one Asian on the roads (I luv u guyz). It's probably not going to affect the part north of 70...but I won't know until I get crackin' on it.
  9. Trying to come up with a different route was not how I wanted to spend my Saturday night. Ok, let me see what I can cum up with.
  10. This blows. When I hit 255/260 last year it wasnt in that kind of shape. I don't remember 78 being in that condition either. I would'nt have suggested this route had I known it was that bad. I guess when I get home in an hour I need to come up with something else.
  11. Well...sounds like a route modification is in order.
  12. We'll do a rolling stop. I like to keep the crazy train moving.
  13. The meet time is in the original thread. Check the first post for a link. 8am at 82/83.
  14. Yes. Pain and a burning sensation in the front and the back is normal. Sounds like everyone made it back ok?
  15. ROLL CALL folks. SO far it's: InyaAzz Imprez55 If you're meeting us from Columbus (someone asked), there is a Fuel Mart (201 W Main St) right on the corner of 83 and 22/40. Slab it east on 70 to get there. We should be rolling past there between 10:30 and 11:00. If you're there, just catch us rolling south.
  16. Not sure. Does my avatar picture look familiar? Ha...you beat me to it you bastard!
  17. I just found this thread. I did the exact same thing years ago sparring in Taekwondo. I jumped up to kick someone and landed on one leg (by design). Unfortunately, the shin guard I was wearing shifted (the band that wraps under the foot) and it caused me to lose balance. So yeah...225 pounds coming down full force basically on my ankle. I rolled it ...and my foot looked just like yours. Of course, this was 2 weeks prior to my first big competition at the Arnold Battle of Columbus..and I almost cried myself to sleep that night because I couldn't fight. Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...could I? This was back around 01 I think? There weren't many 'forums'...folks were mostly using USENET. I put a question out there....basically an SOS...asking if anyone had any experience with this type of injury and what was the quickest way to get the swelling down. A high school football coach responded, and told me to get apple cider vinegar as hot as I could take it, soak a towel in it, and wrap my foot in that at least three times a day. After a few days, I said F it, and just got it really hot on the stove and dumped it in a bucket and soaked my foot in that. The house stunk like I don't know what. That shit worked though. It got the swelling down enough for me to wrap the shit out of it and be able to stand on it. I beat the dog shit out of everyone that day and brought home the gold baby. Now for the bad news. Be prepared to deal with plantar fasciitis for a long time. I had it for years. You'll know the signs...when you wake up in the morning your foot will be tight, and the first time you set it down and put some weight on it, it's gonna hurt for a little while. It will feel like someone driving a long nail through the bottom of your foot, straight up through your heel. I've been there, so I know exactly what you're going through. Good luck.
  18. Keep in mind that a few stops were planned for people that aren't going to be riding this weekend. The stop at the Marathon on 78 in/near Lewisville before doubling back and taking 145 south is one of them. Also the stop on 7 at the river may not be needed...I think it's only 50 or so miles from the last gas stop. If you pass it up, it will put you just under 100 miles until the next fill up. Because we had such a big difference in bikes for the last ride, it's hard to gauge what kind of fuel economy everyone is going to get...and when I'm going through the twisties I'm in the RPM fun zone...which isn't going to win me any awards for fuel economy.
  19. I stroke it twice, I'm in. Oh ...wait..
  20. just from experience in having a house that big..I hope you have extra time to maintain that bitch! Looks great though...perfect to raise a family in.
  21. That's what it looks like. But you know how it's going down....ride in the back...wait for the attack vector...head home early. LOL.
  22. I think it's the same time, 8am. If anyone needs a GPS/Google/Mapquest assist from me, give me a call. PM me if you need the #. I wont be doing much on Saturday.
  23. If anyone has tix for Saturday, let me know. Or, if you don't mind my girlfriend and her nephew having someone to sit with.....hit me up. I won't be going with her...but she'll be coming with her nephew from MI. He's never been to Mid Ohio before.
