  1. Tractor supply sells good food for cheap too. 30lb bags of grain free for $34. It's called 4health, look into it. Definitely look into food as the first thing to change.
  2. Brian, I will generally agree. However in this case, Ryan is pretty unbiased and gives good reviews and bad reviews fairly equally on OR. He's a stand up guy and often posts that he's given dealer ABC multiple chances and changed his mind, good or bad. My point is Ryan is a solid reviewer with a good reputation. I put a lot more weight into his reviews than I do many other people or the random yelp review.
  3. I sold my 01 zx6r last spring with 35k on it. Still see the bike around the neighborhood from time to time.
  4. I'm in the Michelin pilot road fan base. I'm hearing better things out of the 3s right now. The 4s are only getting ok reviews. This coming from the c14 crowd
  5. It's basically a friction ring to lock the throttle at any opening. The screw is a coarse thread for fine adjustment. On my bike a half turn on flat ground equates to about 2-3mph. I could do a video with the engine running to audibly hear the difference in rpm if someone wanted it
  6. This is what I'm using on my bike. Dad made it and also has them made for the C14 and FJR. http://youtu.be/970wCqeMIQ8
  7. You know, to some extent I sort of agree with IP. It's really not entirely different than gun legislation. Putting a no guns sign in the window of a business isn't going to keep a burglar wielding a gun out of the store....if one wants to use an illegal drug, laws aren't gonna stop them from using that drug. Live and let live? I guess?

  9. The Busa. Classic pot stirring, it's unrealistic to the discussion in the thread. Budget or no budget, he wasn't considering a superhawk that was in his original budget, there's no way he got a little more from the wife and with his bipolar bike choosing disorder just picked a busa with no thought or post beforehandSent while riding
  10. Can't edit post... I'm wearing these right now. They last me about 3 years typically. http://www.redwingsafety.com/safety-boot/5007-safe-us/5007-worx-mens-oxford-grayblue/filter-worx Sent while riding
  11. I like the red wing low top tennis shoe with steel toe. It's like wearing regular shoes, except with a steel toe. Sent while riding
  12. Yeah, blame goes to the camera bike. Way too fast for conditions. Cop never saw him coming. Sent while riding
  13. Home inspectors are technically only suppose to visually check items. I asked that same question with the HVAC that I bought. The house had been vacant and utilities were all off. He said I can light the pilot on the hvac, but he legally within his license isn't allowed to. There were other items of similar nature. Basically they check for obvious damage that an uninformed home buyer could see being useful; holes in pipes, bad roof, electric sockets that don't function, obvious foundation issues, etc. Sent while riding

  15. I'm still learning about the home warranty stuff myself. However as I understand it, the home warranty would cover your situation, although since you don't have it yet it may not. You may contact your realtor and try to get it added on then put the claim in. Sent while riding
  16. I can supply two rec's. I had my house done by Rose heating and cooling and was satisfied. Also Eds heating and cooling does outstanding work. Sent while riding
  17. That's something you don't hear from a girl very often. Good luck with your search! Sent while riding
  18. I've got a better throttle lock option, in my opinion, if you're open to suggestions. Sent while riding
  19. This doesn't apply to the OP, but down here the chl is handled by the state rather than the county. There isn't a law here to notify and I never have. I've been pulled over a handful of times and Do I have my firearm on me is always one of their first three questions. The time or two I've been going home from work and pulled over and my response was no, his immediate response was why not, then followed with lock it in the glove box, there's no reason for it not to be with you. I've been let off with a warning each time as well. Cops down here seem to be much more tolerant and expect one to carry if the chl is present. They become quite friendly even. I was pulled over for running a red light and had been out for dinner and beer awhile back. Cop had asked if I'd been drinking and if I was carrying. To which I answered yes and no. He went ahead and did the sobriety test for official purposes and let me go on my way. It's nice to not have to worry about notifying or if the cop is gonna be a dick about the chl or anything of the sort. It almost feels like a free pass to push the limits of the law within reason. 20. I'm contemplating an overnight trip over the weekend, but not committed yet. I live in Nashville so it'd be something within a 4-5 hour ride from here. Post up where you're at as you go places, if my trip comes to fruition I will try to link up for a bit. Sent while riding
  21. I ride there a couple times a year, usually stay a night or two. I can make it there, do a few passes and a couple other roads and make it home in a day if I want. About a 700 mile day. Sent while riding
  22. That's a whole lot of waving. I can't think of any vehicle that has less than two wheels, so you're waving at everything that goes down the road. Bikes, cars, semis, they've all got two wheels. I don't wave a much of anything. Got tired of it. I'm out to ride my own ride, not acknowledge every other person that rides. Call me cranky, but that's how I roll. Sent while riding
  23. Here is the exploded view. I'm not speaking of the steering head nut. If you remove the top triple you'll see nuts under there. One tighens the other is a locking nut. If you back the locking nut off and then get a spanner and follow the procedure in the service manual to retorque the steering head it may fix the problem. The steering head is tapered roller bearings and they can sometimes have an undectable amount of play that can create a front end vibration. I've had it happen in my zx-6 and on a concourse 14 before as well. I'm suspect of it on my zx1000 right now too. in the exploded view it is part # 92210 and 92210A. It's important to follow the instructions in the service manual though, the torque specs are pretty important and you're going to want to be sure the steering isn't to tight after adjustment. Try to make one change at a time. So you can narrow down the issue and then if it happens again, you'll know what to check.
  24. Pretty cool. I think my friends wife competed in this show and won a couple of the things. Dunno which or much about it though. Sent while riding
