  1. I carry a 4lb mountain hardware tent I bought used off craigslist for $130, a big agnus 2.5" pad and 45 degree bag. Also have a sea to summit +20 degree liner for cooler nights.
  2. I bought a 5.11 tactical and wear it daily. I spent a long time bot having one and wondering if it was worth the money. Wish I would have bought it a long time ago.
  3. So I read all this and my first thought is you stopped mid-piss, zipped up, separated them, then resumed pissing. That's impressive.
  4. I see no problem. I'd like to think had a cop seen this, he'd turn his head and conveniently didn't see anything.
  5. Kid took a drug test on his own accord and passed, fwiw..
  6. I don't totally understand how he's a moron, had he not been a state trooper. If some dude wants to run 95 then so be it. You downshifted and cracked the throttle to race him, to give a glare for speeding, because he was passing you?
  7. Absolute cycle is the only track org I know of. They run at New Jersey Motorsports Park. I had some friends that were control riders with the org. Not sure if that's still the case.
  8. I ran into this last year. Had an 01 zx6r that had treated me well. I had put a new chain and sprockets on, new tires. Fork rebuild, carb sync, brakes, etc. I was prepping it for a 1200 mile trip. I was planning on buying a bike this spring and selling off the zx. Then came along the bike I wanted, at a good price. I didn't need it, couldn't totally justify it, didn't want two bikes sitting in the garage. But as you said, its shit or get off the pot. Its the bike I wanted next so I took out a loan on it, was happy I bought it when available, and waited til spring to sell the zx6 and used that money for the payoff on the bike I ended up buying last fall. Basically just because you've got a plan and a schedule, if you truly know you're getting something else, don't let that schedule handcuff you. You might miss out on a great bike..
  9. Off road was an xr100. Street 05 ninja 250.
  10. The only thing that made life bearable on the bike and in the heat for me out there were the HOV lanes.
  11. Hope you don't mind me adding this to your thread....I've got some nelson rigg saddlebags and tail bag set that I'd like to sell. You could have a complete nelson rigg set with my bags and this tankbag.
  12. Is it September already? Good looking bike!
  13. It's much appreciated, if I win I'll share some for the effort!
  14. I'll get there. Been busy
  15. I'll play, need anything else besides some cash via PayPal?
  16. You could also get an AMA membership, covers roadside assistance free of charge to any and every vehicle, bike, trailer, rv, etc you own.
  17. He even did you a favor, only 19 and not 20 over...cops love that line. My last two speeding tickets both got that line.
  18. So that's pretty messed up. I scanned and read through some of it. A lot of dark thoughts. Reading this and scanning the thread reminds me of bkizz, he hasn't logged in in over a year. Anyone know how he is and how his bike is working out for him? I never knew him, but enjoyed the bike build thread and random other postings of his.
  19. I got nailed on the Cherohala by a state trooper last year....granted I was speeding, excessively...
  20. +1. That's all I ask when I sell. A bill of sale with a name and all I care is to see that they have a CHL. A DL is sufficient, but with a CHL it confirms they are a law abiding individual. I've bought the same way in the past, a simple bill of sale with buyer and sellers name and we both showed CHL. Cash, shook hands and boom.
  21. You must have missed the intended purpose of the post... Imo, definitely not too much bike for a new rider. As for price, I don't ever pay the listed price so I think somewhere in the range you mentioned is fair.
  22. I'm in. Do we get to choose which track? Retweeted..
  23. I got pulled over in phx once...popped a small wheelie, that cop nailed me to the wall. Ended up having to get an attorney and all, got away with a reduced criminal speeding charge and almost $2400 is court and attorney fees. That was on bell road and 35th ave. You've got great roads heading north in both directions out of Scottsdale and Surprise. I miss my rides to Yarnell hill. If you take the beeline hwy out of Scottsdale all the way to Payson, there's a good little cafe up there for breakfast.
