  1. I had my truck and my bike stolen in Arizona. Phoenix. I vowed never to live there again. No suggestions on alarms...Mexicans suck. Illegals, to be PC...
  2. Check out copeys in park layne sometime too. They've got an excellent selection too.
  3. I will climb at the Krag next time I'm in town. Also I've been wanting to climb at the wall in the Audobon complex for awhile just haven't made time to come up there yet.
  4. I did use tapatalk until the update. The new mobile site is better than tapatalk. I tend to agree with IP on the desktop site. I don't use it much at all, so I've not gotten totally use to it. It seems really busy though. I just prefer to use the mobile version. The only thing the mobile version really needs is a page select.
  5. I've never been contacted, so I guess I didn't win... Curious myself..
  6. I use to run the Pirelli Diablo strada and after they discontinued those I put a set of the orginal angel st on my bike and didn't like them as well. Went to the PR3 after that set. If the GT get the mileage that the stradas had and also increased the grip in wet conditions, I will try them out. The PR3 is currently the best tire I've ran, the GT sounds like a very comparable tire at this point. I'm curious to see what the outcome is at 6k.
  7. Well hell, if that's a good price, I will give $2250.
  8. I'm not a big fan of high mounts. Based on looks alone, I'd pick the Arrow. Performance could sway me to a high mount if there was enough difference in power from one pipe to another.
  9. Let me rephrase...I only had it in my PM box. Never bothered to save it.
  10. I didn't print mine or write it down...was just in my pm box on here and it doesn't appear to be showing up...
  11. I used to work in a shop...600mi service is an oil change. I'd do a general inspection of the other fluids and put a wrench on a couple bolts. If the whole service took 40 min, 30 was the oil change, 5 was the inspection, and the other 5 was on/off the lift and the test ride.
  12. Gotta yield when a car is already in the roundabout coming around is what I meant.
  13. There is a round about at the exit for my house down here. It's somewhat common to watch a car come up to the roundabout and either not stop at all or stop and then turn left into the wrong direction. Stupid and bad drivers isn't localized to a city or a state, it's an epidemic.
  14. Why does the weather forcast always look at it glass half empty...The percentage is always rain. Maybe instead of a 30% chance of rain as a negative the weather services should broadcast as a 70% chance it will be dry. That would be much more optimistic.
  15. The cheap ones from Wal-Mart and the like are just that, cheap. Invest in a good quality somewhat expensive detector and they don't pick up on as much clutter. The newer technology also has GPS built in and will filter out false signals if it gets a detection in the same spot over and over.
  16. I've got a passport and a valentine. Just radar and both work well. I disagree with the statements above that it's too late once the detector sounds. While it's more true with laser, I've never gotten a ticket when I was running radar and it's hit many times on both laser and x/K bands. With laser it seems the cops have to get two hits and by the second hit I'm always slowed down I guess. The x/K bands both detectors seem to usually pick up from at least a mile away. Plenty of time to get slowed down.
  17. I generally don't like recommending things because ymmv, but national cycle has a pretty good shield there. I get some wind noise still, but no buffeting. I would like to add a little lip to the top of my screen to throw what little wind noise is still there up and over my helmet.
  18. It is 3 position adjustable and in the picture is in the full up position. Actually even at that height I'm looking over the top of it. I generally am not a huge fan of big windscreens, but the difference it has made with wind draft at highway speeds is pretty incredible. When it's laid back in the lowest position it doesn't look as large.
  19. I made a trip up to Duluth for the Aerostitch VBR3. I don't do very well at writing up trip reviews, but thought I'd just post up a couple pics. It's really pretty country up there, not a lot of traffic. There wasn't much in the way of twisty roads either. We took the long way up passing through Dubuque, IA and then back across the Mississippi at Prairie du Chien, WI. We made a day trip from Duluth, MN up to the "top of the world" Ely, MN. A neat little town in the middle of all the 10,000 lakes. I got stung by a hornet or wasp I guess while going about 65. That sucked. On the return trip I did a straight shot home from Duluth back to Ohio. It ended up being 812 miles in a little under 13 hours. My total trip was 1960 miles in 5 days. I trailered up from Nashville to my dads in Ohio and we left from his house. I started on my harbor freight build a couple months ago and managed to get it finished up for my trip. Packed up and ready to drive Leaving the hotel our first night, heading to IA and parallel to the Mississippi river This is in Prairie du Chien. We stayed at the Spirit Mountain ski resort in Duluth for the rally. This is on the North Shore of Lake Superior on our ride up to Ely. And finally, getting up to leave camp we had a pretty awesome view of the sunrise.
  20. Find a hill to back up against. Or back into a ditch.
  21. I don't wave very often. It's pointless.
