attempting, or succeeding? (albeit briefly)

A friend of mine is trying to get rid of some Hooker headers for the 4.6 if you know any mustang people looking for headers... They were supposed to go on her Saleen, but then they sold it and bought a 2014 GT.

is that the guy at the top of the hill who does mower blades too? At State and Sprague, or am I thinking of Ridge and Sprague... Either way, is that the place you're talking about?

While we're talking about chain sharpening, I would remove yours and have it sharpened. I'll bow out of the quality chainsaw discussion, because I rely solely on a crappy Homelite electric. That said, as crappy as it is, we have successfully used it for a decade, and took down several decent sized trees. A new (sharp) chain will save you a ton of time, and your saw a lot of stress. We have 3 chains, counting the original. just get them all sharpened at the same time, and then hope you only need to use 1.

The Speed3 is cool as hell, but I would be too cheap to keep it in proper summer tires. Plus there's the whole torque steer thing, and resisting the urge to cook the right-front-tire constantly...

Statistical risks associated with drag racing motorcycles

Even if you're not looking for civil remedies, I'm vindictive enough to call the cops and report the failure to yield the right-of-way. Someone almost killed you because they were careless. I think they can at least pay court costs and attend traffic school... -
Police PR.

Statistical risks associated with drag racing motorcycles

that sucks. Any legal action coming, or are you just happy to walk away from it without any real damage to teh bike? -
Next purchase will be: small battery-powered lighting for the cabinet. Then, fill it up Shotgun, 22lr pistol of some sort, 9mm carbine, and maybe a larger 9mm handgun. I also need a pellet gun. Still really liking the idea of sticking to 2 calibers and 1 shotgun gauge for ease and expense of stocking ammo.

Finally got the cabinet all set up and anchored to the wall studs. A few criticisms: - there are 2 partitions that divide the cabinet into 3 sections. You can leave these out if you choose, but I wanted shelving, etc. The partitions themselves are bolted through the bottom of the cabinet, and the shelves in the outer sections are secured through the wall of the cabinet. This means that I'm now (almost) completely married to my shelving arrangement, because I can't access the sides of my cabinet the way it sits in my closet. I CAN adjust the single shelf I installed in teh center section, and move the barrel rests for the "tactical" rifles up and down. - the barrel rests are too high. I currently only have 1 long gun in the cabinet. I believe it has a 22" barrel. I will need to stack something under it to get the barrel to sit securely on the rest. Otherwise I really like it. The setup comes with foam inserts for all the shelves, so my handgun and magazines are never going to scratch or be scratched on the metal shelving surfaces. There is room for a handgun rack on the top shelf, and probably room on the side-shelves for more handguns (although I'm filling those with ammo for now) The cabinet has pre-drilled holes for mounting to 16" on-center wall studs, but again, I put this in a closet where I had about 2" of wiggle room. As a result, I drilled 2 small holes and put both lag bolts into the same vertical stud near the top of the cabinet. I dropped 2 additional lag bolts through the floor of the cabinet (as designed) in the rear corners. It feels secure enough for what it is. In the future, I think I will eventually buy a safe, and use this cabinet purely for ammo storage. A coworker suggested that when he was talking about his setup - he keeps ammo in his old 10-rifle cabinet, and then keeps the guns in a 16 gun SAFE that he purchased as an upgrade. In his mind, his kids (or a thief) have to break into 2 separate containers to operate any weapon. I like the logic.

I really want the high-point 9mm carbine right now, but I think Todd would refuse to sell it to me on principle

That is why I refer to it as a GSX-F 750

stumbled upon this thread and realized that while i was talking about a 2-rifle cabinet, I ended up buying one that can fit up to 16 rifles I still need to screw it into the wall and set up the shelving.

just got back from the range (lunch time). Only put 40 rounds through the 9, but i felt worlds better than the last time i shot it. I am shooting low, quite badly - but I know it now. Last time I was missing the target too often to figure out what I was doing.

Is that what you believe, or do you actually have proof of that? I hear about a lot more meth labs than weed grow operations. And it makes sense - one takes the time, equipment, and patience to grow a plan to maturity. The other requires some couch syrup, a kitchen, and a few hours. The ROI is realized much more quickly with meth. How many patient drug dealers are you acquainted with?

I think they're more likely to build secure structures. Indoor grow sites are more secure, and you can use them year-round.

that is how it's spelled in the Ohio Revised Code. I can't afford to get in the habit of spelling it any differently.

I voted for Issue 3 purely because i knew it was going to fail, but I wanted it to appear close®. The monopoly language divided people who support legalized marihuana into two camps: Those who didn't care about the monopoly, and those who actually wanted good legislation that provides real liberty. As I posted previously, I had numerous friends and acquaintances post FB messages about voting "no on 3" despite the fact that they support legalized marihuana. It would have been a close vote even without that division of their support-base. The monopoly was fatal.
-
That's not the point - the point is that there is nothing in the Ohio constitution that prevents me from starting a cell phone company tomorrow to compete against the 'big 3' or whatever they are. These people are trying to enter the market with a law that prevents any competition. That's shitty.

hahaha It is a little rough right now. But only a little.

there is a company in CO that deals almost exclusively in marihuana dispensary security compliance. From what I gathered from an article about them, other security firms where shying away from installing compliant systems (i.e. certain camera angles are legally mandated), so they took the ball and ran with it. Now they are a multi-million dollar company (started with 2 employees and a few hundred bucks) and widely considered as THE cannabis security authority in CO. Other states have approached the security company asking what they should require in their jurisdictions.

I think their approach was inherently intelligent, but the "monopoly" policy is a bad one. I agree that you can't just have any Tom, Dick, or Harry "farming" weed anywhere they want. Without proper security measures, it's a crime magnet that would or could destroy a neighborhood. In that respect, I do think that marihuana farming (not growth for personal use) and commercial sale (i.e., you can't sell weed out of your house - again, that's not fair to neighbors) should be something you have to be licensed to do. ...but that license to grow should have clear-cut requirements that are more about zoning and security than anything else. It definitely shouldn't be limited to 10 companies or 10 grow sites or whatever. As for licensing sales of weed, same deal - it should require a store-front or mail-order process with certain security requirements that reduces the likelihood of drawing crime into residential areas. I am fine with people growing weed in their basement and selling it online or at their licensed distribution center. It SHOULD be a small-business industry, but anything with that much value is going to be subject to security issues.

If i'm upset about anything, that is it. Part of me hopes that Issue 2 will be 'reversed' when they count provisional ballots.
