After filling the system, crack the upper banjo bolt. They always get an air pocket. Pump it til it farts air then tighten and bleed as normal. Make sure you have a rag under it to catch the fluid. Man, that just don't sound right, but that's probably your problem.

Doc? We used to have huge weekly gatherings. We also used to have lots of 30+ group rides. That was before the majority of us realized how much large group rides suck. As far as small tents on a bike, Id look for a backpacker tent.
