Any chance it was a bigger dude wearing a black jacket riding it, and was the pipe sort of a "shorty" high-mount? There's a guy with a VFR I park right next to at work and even though I'm bike the bike all the time, I never manage to actually hear the guy start it
I don't care how much of a whiny bitch Ewan may be; these are still damn entertaining documentaries. I don't think there's one person on this board who wouldn't love to be able to do what he did and have the resources to do it so well. I just downloaded both of them today and am 3 episodes in to Long Way Down, and so far I'm loving it because by this point in winter I suck in every piece of bike-related media I can and live vicariously through it.
The 650r seemed like the best balance of price/performance/insurance/looks/comfort at the time. 3 years later and it's still plenty of bike and I'm still 100% happy with my decision, but I have been entertaining the idea of selling it and getting a Daytona 675. I really do love the 650, but I'm starting to crave something new.
There are a few guys on campus who rode those to class. Part of me wants to go up to one of them and say "it's ok, we see you, we appreciate you, we'll give you attention...just stop."
Ok so on the very same page touting that bike as the most powerful ever, there is a link to this bike: http://www.gizmag.com/asphaltfighter-stormbringer-280-bhp-motorcycle/13648/ under the title "The AsphaltFighter Stormbringer - 280bhp production motorcycle". Accurate journalism at its finest
It's cool, but anyone who reads science blogs or even a site like digg.com regularly can tell you that it seems like someone discovers a new miracle cure for cancer, aids, whatever at least once a week. All of the stories end the same way "preliminary tests were promising, but it will be a long time before it sees human testing".
If my spring plans weren't so uncertain, I'd jump on this in a heartbeat...this info is stuff every rider should know IMO. I'm just not even sure if I'll be in the state come march :\
Negatory. As of now, the only 3 functioning options are an 05-10 R6, Ducati 1198/1098/848, and a GSX-R1000. Under the "coming soon" section is: 2009-2010 R1 2003-2006 2003-2006 R6 / R6S 2006-2010 ZX-14R 2010 ZX-6R 2010 GSX-R600/R750 2010 CBR600RR 1999-2007 Hayabusa
Yeah I had a several month period where I didn't visit the forums at all. I feel like a jackass now for missing the 16-page thread and not visiting the hospital
Damn, didn't know you went down. Are you upgrading to something else? Good luck with the sale. I'm hoping to put mine up as soon as spring rolls around and I un-uglyfy the fairing X-(
You mean like I just did not 5 minutes ago and at least once a month for the past 4 months? It's like talking to a brick wall. This stupid fuck can't be bothered to close and lock the goddamn back door (left it open THREE TIMES in one day a few weeks ago), let alone do really tough stuff like pay his bills and clean up after himself... Funny you should ask, he just got a ticket a few weeks ago on his way home for Christmas break. I'm pretty sure that's the reason he's so broke. No sympathy though, he has a job and blows money on stupid shit all the time.
My roommate is a worthless bastard who is constantly late paying his bills and is completely irresponsible in general. But, his daddy is nice and rich and myself and my other roommate are trying to get in touch with his dad to try to get SOMEONE to pay up. Does anyone have the ability to look up license plate numbers and info? The plates on his car are registered to his dad and we just need his last name (stepchildren, weird family structure, blah blah blah). Jersey license plate #WZC17Z. If anyone can look this up, I love you long time.
I hope we get some seasoned track riders chiming in on this thread...for as much emphasis as people put on body positioning, it sure is hard to get some good, informed advice on the subject.
Lol, I'm reading this from my tech support job on OSU's Ag campus. If it were warm and I had my bike, I'd gladly come look at it...but I have no transportation in winter
I wish there was a Muslim (or any religious, non-Christian) painter somewhere out there that'd paint this same picture but from a Muslim (or any religious, non-Christian) perspective. I might actually want to buy that one, simply because it would be thought-provoking in how striking it would be to the average Joe. This one though, it's barely worth being used as toilet paper.
