Columbus. Ohio's third best city.

Maybe I'm missing the point in coming to CLE or Cinci but aren't both extremely liberal Democratic controlled places? Is the point to garner more support for the Republicans to come here?

That would be true of most major cities. They are considering Ohio because it will be key as usual and it will get them tons of statewide coverage.

Probably Columbus is just too small.  Personally, Im glad theyre not coming here.  The last thing I want to deal with is Fox News vans all over the place and the, "rah, rah" Conservative nonsense.

Largest city in Ohio and I believe the 15 largest in the country, so try again with your liberal logic babble again.

He'd like to live in California or Seattle, and he's from Wisconsin, I'm guessing Madison at this point...some people you just can't beat the liberal out of. :-)

15th by area.

It's all about population which it is 28th in USA.

Thats right and proud of it, although I consider myself more of a moderate.

Columbus is larger than Cleveland because it has absorbed more of it's suburbs.

However they are probably more concerned about hotel space, convention space, and downtown amenities. Plus whether they can sway some voters by the location.

Not sure those favor Cleveland or Cincinnati over Columbus.

Yea, I don't see Cleveland coming even close on hotel space downtown. But other than that it is a good choice. Our convention center, casino and entertainment district all flow together very well.

Cleveland used to be the biggest city in Ohio.  I believe Cleveland used to be the 4th biggest city in the US (to the web fact checkers), but that was a long time ago.

The city of Cleveland has lost a lot of it's population to the surrounding suburbs.  The entire urban area population is still fairly large, but Cleveland proper population has been dropping for a few decades.

If you go metro area Columbus is 28th in the US. Cincy is 32nd and CLV is 16th. So I think that is why the perception is that Cleveland is bigger, because as you travel area you are looking at the metro area.
