Tonik
Riding a sport tourer for a day, and you will be sold. I rode a buddy's R6 the other day and told myself I will not buy another sport bike. Poor R6 never had a chance since you have a newer FJR1300. R6 is a great bike, but that wasn't even fair. 2talltim
I'll never go back to a RR or full sporty bike. My C14 does more than I ever thought a ST could do and I'm finding more in her on every ride. And like stated above 400, 500, 600 miles days, no problem. Tonik
Yep, FI, ABS and cruise are now mandatory on any bike I buy. And a cup holder.

Pokey
A little late in the game but my wife's vacation shifted a bit and I can probably make this trip pending getting vaca days approved...any trailer room left? If you put that Super Ten on a trailer, shame......shame.....shame......it is made to eat up the slab and off the slab, you are killing me.
Pokey
I do need something more comfy. Nothing out there really appeals to me though. You have to actually ride what is out there, to see what you like and appeals to ya. Edited September 22, 2015 by Pokey
Tpoppa
^^^I recently rode with a couple guys on new BMW S1000XR's. That is a pretty impressive motorcycle for distance, corners, and some unpaved stuff, too.
ScubaCinci
Yeah, the Beemer is pretty hot...was the top pick in this comparison although they had a few gripes about it. Yamaha declined to provide them with a Super Tenere - WTF?

Sunday looks good (Cafe Rel nom nom).Tim, do you have a plan for the ride down and return? No plans yet, I seriously wouldn't know if I'll need to work Saturday morning or not till a few days before. The trip home I'm open to anything, but thought of doing the reverse of what I did a few weeks ago if the weather looks good. But that's prob a 750 mile trek home. Yamaha declined to provide them with a Super Tenere - WTF?Couldn't watch the video because my connection sucks right now to know what bikes were in it, but the C14 is the bottom dweller of the ST world right now. Ahead of its time in 2008 when it came out but basically very little changed since then. Kawi needs to do a complete over haul of it. But I still love mine. ScubaCinci
The C14 wasn't in there as there were "adventure" sport touring bikes though some would question the inclusion of a few of these that are less adventure and much more sport/touring. Only bikes I'd give it up for right now are the Triumph Trophy or the Honda GW F6B
Tonik
Well, I'm screwed on this trip and every other trip in the future. Got a recall notice from Ma Kaw today that clearly says 'Do not drive your vehicle until you get this fixed'. Well shit, if I can't drive it to the dealer I can't get it fixed. Have fun gang. Wire on the ignition rubbing on the tank. I fixed it the first week I had it.And it's more like 17K a year slacker.
2talltim
There is a recall on mine I refuse to have done. They say little pebbles can get stuck between the rear brake lever and the heel plate. Kawi's fix for this is just take the heel plate off. Fuck that.
