madcat6183
Okay, living in BFE now has changed my outlook on cell phone carriers. Currently with Verizon, never have service at Eldora where I spend about 3-8 weekends a summer so have an ATT Go Phone that I just buy minutes for those weekends to supplement. With that said my Verizon at our new house sucks. NO LTE and dropped calls all the time. Can't stream YouTube, midget porn, nothing. We have internet but it's not super fast yet, so WiFi is decent actually but still want to have coverage for calls when on the road too. Not a big Data hog normally like 3 gigs a month. I have been toying with the idea of going to ATT come June or sooner at this point and was wondering pros or cons? I have been with Verizon for like 10 years and hate the idea of changing but I want real coverage, especially at home. One of the contractors we had was on his ATT phone in the basement at our new place with no issues. At Eldora we get full LTE and what not. What says OR? blue03636
Go with what works where you need it. That's what I did.

They all kinda suck for one reason or another. Go with the one that works for you where you need it.
mango_sv
AT&T just brought back unlimited data.... the catch is you have to buy Direct TV also.... Edit: I know you said you weren't a data hog, but it's nice to not have to worry.

bowdog
I just got both at my new house...Whats the biggest complaint you guys have about Direct TV? Channeling seems a little strange but picture seems to be really good, waiting to see what happens to dish reception when it rains or snows though. 2talltim
Me and my old man have had Directv since 1998 and the only complaint is the price. You just have to call them back every couple years and threaten to leave them and they will give you another promotion rate.

We have Dish because they had the cheapest package that had something for Luke to watch, like 30 bux I think. And I was considering cancelling and going the Direct and ATT for the Unlimited but now we have internet that actually works so not that concerned there. More want the good celly coverage. Still curious though. BowDog, you move? Text me wasup. We just moved too, 5.25 acres just south of Ostrander. 100% unplanned and totally went out on a limb on this purchase lol. madcat6183
We tried that. Time Warner is currently installing them around us and was on our street a few weeks ago. They just don't have some box installed yet. Frontier kind of same thing. Lines are there, box is there, but whatever goes inside the box isn't, yet. I hope Hilary or Bernie will listen to me in a few months. Think I can still get an Obama phone too?
mango_sv
Direct TV sucks the big chubby. But AT&T Uverse rocks. I don't understand why they were pushing Direct TV and not also UVerse. From the salesperson I spoke with, they were allowing Unlimited with Direct TV so you could stream the shows.... So why not allow it with UVerse? I can't get UVerse in BFE, so I never thought of that til now....
JustinNck1
I think you will see Uverse morph into a DirectTV product since AT&T bought DirectTV. In my area, Time Warner has always worked great. I have buddies with DirectTV, and they lose signal everytime it storms. Of course I work for Suddenlink (Cable Company) so I am biased with my fiber at 800 Mbps internet. Too bad it doesn't reach to my house...
