Well, I went and did it again....

Last time I did this, I bought an import (my MR2). Due to it's recent sale, I needed another daily driver, but something with a little more balls. I will miss the outstanding handling, but maybe this car can be made to handle.

Anyways, I broke down bought a Ford. Yes folks, Mr. GM bought not only a Ford, but a Mustang at that.

That being said, some half-ass pics until I get better ones.

The details:

1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0L Convertible

AOD (bleh)

Yellow with black top (rare color I've heard)

122k miles

Bone stock, recent New Jersey state inspection

Power everything

Only problems are the power door locks don't work ($70 actuator) and the passenger door sags a bit ($15 hinge pins)

Everything else is pristine and in excellent running order. This was the previous owner's daily driver. I ended up paying $2000 for it, and FedEx is shipping it to my door for $495. It should be here in 2-4 weeks.

Yay.

Some of us don't like boring, lifeless daily drivers. I could have gotten a newer, and perhaps nicer, Civic for the same money I paid for my Mustang, but I'd MUCH rather sport the Mustang daily.

But it is a ragtop for the summer drive to work!

Good luck!

I'm just saying that MOST people when they try to get a daily driver they look for a car get good gas mileage. What's a 5.0 fox body get.. 20ish? With the way gas prices are now I'd rather have something that gets over 30.
